"Zurzuban"
I have travelled with transmediteranea before and this ship was not as nice. The food in the restaurant was poor and the cabin room was dirty and old. It smelt so bad that we asked to Change. The staff were nice and it was no problem to change, but the new room was only marginally better. I would take a different boat next time..
"trip to Ibiza"
tout était parfait sur le bateau, propre, rapide, très professionnel,
"Good services better than baleria "
Good service,
"Summer 18"
We travelled as tourists from Palma to Ibiza town with just hand luggage, really easy check-in set up and the ship sailed right on time. It was a 10am ferry, the choice of food wasn’t great so maybe better to take something on board or wait until their lunch service. Seating area was really comfy and the deck/bar area was great for sunbathing and relaxing. After disembarking, we joined the taxi queue but there were no taxis and the number to call didn’t work. However, just follow the foot passenger signs and you’ll find a taxi at the roundabout near the boat clubs/restaurants.
"Very impressed "
I would have no hesitation to use this service again. Booked the extra comfy seat for five euros more and felt like business class. Very friendly and helpful staff.
"Excellent! "
I loved this ship the chairs were comfortable and relaxing.
"Flexibility"
Probably best to pay a small supplement on booking, as unlike any other ferry company I know, if your plans change, then they will charge again and double, even if you are a pedestrian on a nearly empty ship. For that reason I will never travel with them again, nor will any of my trucks, as I call that abuse of power or bullying. Also, it would seem a waste and a limiting of customer choice in choosing time of day of travel to have both companies' ships running at the same time.
"Worst trip so far "
I am disgusted an traumatised by this whole Experience! The fact that you don't have the option to pay your extortionate prices for a cabin if you want to when boarding your ship is a joke! sleeping in a room full of 200 people after paying €260 for a ticket is disgusting! Once finding a ridiculous place to spend a 10 hour journey we was then told to move from our seats to be moved into a room like a heard of sheep with bright lights left on all night an constant noise from everyone else uncomfortable which makes impossible to sleep! I'm honestly shocked at how horrible this journey was for me an my wife while we ended up sleeping on a wooden floor because the chairs were impossible to sleep in! I've used ur service plenty of times before but I will not be after today! You should have the choice to sleep in a cabin especially if your willing to pay the ridiculous €170 an not be told to get away from reception an to stop asking questions. Instead I had to sleep in a room where people are using vending machines all night and waking everyone up every 10 minutes talking, coughing, laughing & joking around. Generally upset with the whole trip itself I now have to drive for 7 hours to reach my destination with no sleep at all! Ive chose your service over baleria numerous times however this will not be the case anymore! Especially paying €260 for the worst trip I've ever had! I have a strong social media following due to my career as a DJ and I will not hesitate to share this in the future.
"Pleasant"
Travelled from Ibiza to Barcelona on the overnight ferry. Very smooth sailing. The access to the ship involved a fair amount of walking, but staff were present at each stage to give directions if needed. I booked a premium seat and that lounge was nearly full. Quite comfortable. About 10 tv screens showing various movies/news were on for about 2 hours, then turned off do people could sleep. Washrooms were within the lounge area. Did not use the cafeteria.
"Super"
no problem
"Ferry to Palma "
Travelling with Trasmediterranea on the ferry to Palma was fine. The lounge was quiet all night, staff were helpful, journey went smoothly. The only thing that was a bit annoying was the discrepancy in the instructions for check in, but that was possibly the fault of the agent used for booking. I was told 120 minutes, even as a foot passenger, which was way over what was required. That meant a lot of hanging about.
"Ferry crossing "
Absolutely fine. There are only two comments to make: 1) lack of a good restaurant 2) lack of overnight crossings ibiza to Barcelona!
"Change of booking not successful"
Disappointed by the fact that I changed a booking for a return ticket from Ibiza. Despite direct ferries having sent me the confirmation of the change, when I arrived at the ferry on the new day Trasmeditterranea said they never received any change of booking. Luckily in the end they let us on the boat even if only after a long begging....
"Pay for a cabin!"
We took the overnight ferry from Barcelona to Ibiza. I would do this again but I would definitely look into the cost and ease of flying as well as it is a long crossing. I booked a four berth cabin for myself and our three daughters and we all slept very well but my husband said that he would rather sit in a seat as he doesn't like small spaces. His experience was terrible as the majority of people who opt to do this nab 3 seats and lie along them which means that those who don't get there early, end up sitting on the floor. This is what happened to him and he did not sleep a wink.
"Frustration"
In 2014 we took the same way from BCN to IBZ, in the way to IBZ, very nice Ferry, DJ playing, nice bar , nice environment. In the way back nice ferry with swimming pool and nice bar and solarium, great for a day cruise. For 2017 I bought with Transmediterranea expecting the same, and was quite a desapointment. The Zubaran ferry is OLD, the bar very bad, the surroundings are horrific. It seems the focus of the ferry was truck drivers which were screaming and shouting and the bar tender was part of it
"Good experience"
Good experience
"Never Again"
At the port tickets were easy enough to collect. We got to the embarkation area 2 hours before sailing time of 11pm. We boarded at 10.45 we'll I did, my wife as a passenger in the car was told she had to walk on as a foot passenger. This was some 15 minutes before I was allowed on. She got lost among lorries where the passengers were told to go. Eventually I found her near the desk where we were issued with our cabin key. We went directly to the cabin to drop our gear & was hoping to get into bed. The toilet was blocked & almost overflowing but I got a guy to clear it fairly quickly. The temperature in the cabin was so high we couldn't stay in it for a couple of hours until the air con had clicked in. The bed was uncomfortable so very little sleep was had at all. We eventually left Barcelona at 12.15 am some 75 minutes late. On arrival at Palma my wife was made to get off again as a foot passenger. The chaos getting cars out was unbelievable. Lorries had been parked so close on the deck above that I must have made 20 point turn to get out. My wife was left early morning in a car park for 30 minutes while we were getting cars off, not very nice at 7am in a port park.
"It was ok"
It was a pleasure trip a bit cold during the night.
" Nice trip"
Nice ferry, more than I expected!
"Crossing to Spain"
Very relaxing trip, crew very helpful, and arrived on time.
"Ibiza Barcelona ferry "
Great crossing, not a big ferry but very comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the deck area with the artificial grass! We travelled with a dog and it's great that you can have access to them throughout the crossing. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend.
"Way better than I was expecting!"
My family and I travelled on the Barcelona - Palma - Barcelona route earlier this month and the whole thing was way better than we expected. The ferries were clean and well maintained. The cabin in particular was spotless and served us really well for the 7 hour crossing. Our only gripe would probably be the speed of service at the catering facilities but for 7 hour journey this is easy enough to remedy by bringing your own snacks etc.
"trip to Ibiza"
first time we had used this boat or this service...great trip..loved the upper outside party deck with artificial grass!!..Comfy seats..liked the luggage storage on the car deck as well, great idea. Will certainly use again...
"Med crossing from Ibiza to Mallorca"
My son and I took the 17.00hrs ferry to Mallorca last Saturday and were not looking forward to the long journey. However we found the deck at the rear of the ship offering sunbeds and seats, a bar which had music playing - made the journey and whole experience really enjoyable! The staff were very helpful, toilets were clean in fact the whole ship was great and I would highly recommend it!
"the crossing"
very good had a great time good service
"Generally good."
Generally good, though on the slow and expensive side.
"A nice crossing"
It was a very pleasant evening, lukewarm and a nice seabreeze while we were waiting to board the ferry. The boarding was fast and easy. We checked out the cabin and then went to the restaurant to get some dinner. We were among the first guests so we didn't have to queue at all. The food, 3 chicken drumsticks, salad and potatoes was very good. I bought a small bottle of red wine which made it even better. The night in the cabin was ok but it was hot when 3 people shared. We solved it by opening the cabin door and secure it with one of our luggages. The alighting in the morning was easy and simple. Thank you for a nice trip.
"Great trip"
Booked this ferry having been let down by a rival company who cancelled at 24 hours notice. Smooth loading, clean cabin, excellent food. Will certainly travel this company and route again.
"Palma Cruise !"
We both had a most comfortable crossing in both directions. We took advantage of having a cabin for both trips. The cabins were clean and comfortable, and we were very surprised as to the quality and choice of the lunch time menu....well done.
"Barcelona to Mahon overnight"
The overnight ferry crossing was fine, the accommodation was small but adequate and it was very nice to be able to have a shower. The only issue was the temperature, the cabin was very hot, a little bit of air conditioning would have made a huge difference.
"Palma To Barcelona"
The back up from your staff was first class. My wife had unfortunately become disabled through a hip operation whilst visiting Mallorca.the service and quality of all your facilities was excellent. We enjoyed a smooth crossing and arrived in Barcelona as promised on time. Big Than You. John and Patricia Butters.
"Barcellona-Palma and return"
no one from the staff helped us to find our cabin. Rude staff. No towels in our toilet. Good restaurant and bar
"Cheap & practical"
I took the overnight ferry from Barcelona to Ibiza. This was ideal, as it meant travelling during the night, rather than wasting time during the day, and saved on hotel cost for a night. The ship was fine. I didnt use any facilities, or eat any food, so I cant comment on that. But it was clean, the chairs reclined a bit (although quite a few were broken and either stuck upright or in the reclining position). But the ship wasnt full, so I just took a set of two chairs (one upright, and one reclining), and tried to make myself as comfortable as possibly. It basically like sleeping on a plane, I dozed a bit, but woke up regularly. I recommend it as a cheap practical way to get to the island, but dont expect anything fancy.
"Why passengers from Barcelona are asked for a passport???"
A comfortable journey with polite people. What we don't understand is why passport numbers are required, without any other choice to buy the tickets on line for spanish people???
"ferry trip to Mahon"
I was very pleased with the facilities offered, the quality of the catering, and friendliness of staff. The ship was clean and the departure was punctual. Our arrival at the stunning port of Mahon was one of the highlights of our trip to Europe. As a foreigner, the only issue we had was that we were not aware that there were two terminals at Mallorca as there is no signage. As a result we were dropped off by taxi and mistakenly waited half an hour in a queue for people going to Ibiza.
"crossing"
The ferry was full. There was lot of young people who were very friendly, but noisy. It was difficult to find somewhere to rest. Otherwise the service on board is as nice as usual.
"Congratulations one more time"
We had to interrupt our holidays because of private issues. However, the rapidity and the diligence with which my problem was treated are proof of the perfect efficiency of your service. The following morning, not even 24 hours after my call, we were able to get our inbound crossing (cabin + car). And it was all done without stress. Thanks again for this excellent work. Moreover, the website is easy to navigate and well explained. If there is a problem, you can call a friendly and professional staff who helps you to resolve it. The only setback is that it is impossible to book in advance and that there aren't enough night crossings.
"Night Trip in a Cabin is Quite Confortable."
The cabin price is highly worth it. The regular seats although can be booked are first come first serve and are as confy as airplane seats as well as loud, they have TV's all over the main salon. When traveling with kids the cabin is essential. Other than that the service was good, the food reasonable for a ship and I have always arrived exactly on time. The ship is mainly for cargo, so it's important that they arrive by 7am to deliver all the products to the super markets.
"SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICES"
We appreciated the timekeeping, the facilities in the cabins. The facilities were better in the first class cabin for the return crossing from Palma to Barcelona.
"can do better"
The outbound crossing from Barcelona to Palma aboard the ZURBARAN was sice and the staff was friendly, the boat was on time, it was well organised. However, the inbound journey from Palma to Barcelona aboard the FORTUNY was a lot less nice, the boat was late and we waited next to the cars without any information, there was no service on board, the AC was in full blown in the cabin and it was impossible to change the cabin. There was no porthole in the cabin, the shower head was defective, the cafeteria (canteen) was closing when we arrived on board. So you have no choice but to eat what's given and quick. Avoid the FORTUNY if you want to keep a good memory of the crossing. When you travel for tourism, you realise that everything on board is planned for truck drivers and that you have to adapt to their rythm. You almost feel like your presence is too much.... It's a shame...
"First class room "
It is my fault if I reserved the trip from Barcelona to Ibiza last minute and there were no cabins available. I was travelling with my wife and 8-year-old son and they offered me the option of a first class cabin for the price of 180 euros per person, which made it 550 euros for the three of us. This plus what I had already paid seemed more like the price for an all-included cruise. Excuse the bother and good job to everybody.
"Crossing"
A very good night outbound crossing and a very good day inbound crossing, a quiet sea, a quality catering. Thanks
"A great crossing, very nice"
We were spoiled by the service on board. The reception was very good, the staff was available to guide us to our cabin, at the bar, at the restaurant. We appreciated the meals and the installations in the cabin. A good journey.
"A comfy and nice trip "
It is a comfy trip and the timetable are practical. I can take the care if I need to and the departures are daily. There are services such as restaurants, cafés, a shop and vending machines.
"Barcelona and Mahon with Trasmediterranea on the Zurbaran"
I recently travelled in a cabin overnight from Barcelona and Mahon with Trasmediterranea on the Zurbaran the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable and will definitely book this service again.
"Review "
We left in time from Mahon to Barcelona. We stayed in the sitting lounge. Good food but slightly expensive for the majority of the customers. Very attentive and wilful staff. On the way back, we stayed in a cabin. The sea was a bit rough but the air temperature was acceptable. Same opinion about the staff.
"review of ferry "
Unfortunately, the cabins were not really clean. On the way we had chip remains in the beds and on the floor. The toilet was, unfortunately, not really clean. On the return trip we had to the extent legally clean beds, but several foreign hairs were on the shower floor and also the toilet was not cleaned completely. Super are embarking or disembarking from the ferry.
"Reception by directferries and transmediterrannea"
I find this ferry very confortable and welcoming, the cabins are great (outbound from Barcelona to Palma). The inbound crossing wasn't as good. It left a bit late, but it arrived on time. Why doesn't the fast ferry exist anymore. We've been taking the ferry for 20 years and we've never been disappointed
"a good crossing"
no problem with the night crossing, the berths were confortable (an extra blanket would have been good as it was winter) the staff was friendly and attentive.
"Outward journey zurbaran, Return by Sorolla "
The cabins are unfortunately sometimes extremely dirty. Dirt in the showers, especially on the Sorolla, a lot of dirt in the bed boxes. Coffee is served in paper cups unfortunately only. very positive for me as severely disabled is the helpfulness of the staff on the car deck.
"almost every 4 weeks I'm going on this ship between ibiza and barcelona "
my last two trips took place during stormy weather, there are on the ship during the journey no cleaning service and puke was everywhere until arrival in port.
"Ferry ride from 11/02/2013 "
The Cafe in the morning was excellent! The rest was in my opinion very chaotic: the toilets were not cleaned between the morning and were therefore very dirty; Seats and floor coverings are worn; the overall impression of the ferry was doubtful!
"Palma to Barcelona"
Left on time. Efficient loading. Reasonable cabin, quiet enough to sleep. Food on board is disgraceful - a major disappointment!
"ready for the scrap heap "
The Mediterranean storm has brought to vomit almost everything is one thing, the condition of the ship what else, The seats were totally filthy, the foam looked out and at the smallest part movement the chair always fell forward. The wallpaper on the walls hung partially down, the windows were so dirty that man has hardly get seen - no matter in which direction, whether the eating, drinking was ok I can not judge because I could see the place not leave / wanted No vomit-bags at the sitting because I could not get up by the seasickness I was glad that I was not seen, my neighbor was promoted unfriendly outside and the friendliness generally read lot to be desired, after my return I had 2 Different viruses (gastrointestinal, Bonchitis ) and was sick 5 days. So I'll definitely put on these "cutter" no foot, can'm sorry leave me no good feedback, will be back with Balearia drive from where they should copy what in terms of the above-mentioned points
"Rough seas - oh dear! "
No one on the ferry was obviously set on rough seas! Nowhere to have airsickness bags, passages and toilets full of vomit. Nobody cared! Poor service!
"Acciona"
I travelled with Acciona between Barcelone et Palma de Majorque. The journey went well and the staff is nice and welcoming.
"good, correct transport "
everything was perfect, the bed covers the sleeping cabins could be thicker; otherwise everything ok
"Our opinion on the crossing"
A very pleasant and confortable outbound crossing in a cabin which well laid. A very polite staff. An inbound crossing during the day on the deck with a calm see and under the sun. It's a shame that the confort of the deck chair is so minimal. Moreover, the bar is too small for such a long journey. We couldn't find a seat to drink a coffee.
"It was OK"
We traveled with a car and a dog. On the plus side the boarding was well organised and the ferry was on time setting off and reaching destination. On the minus side the general appearance of the public areas of the ferry was tired and the cabin we used was shabby in the extreme, for example the ceiling bore the marks of much vandalism and the shower cubicle was most uninviting. Overall, however, value for money.
"Trip to Menorca "
The trip both ways was very pleasant. I think we were lucky since the sea was not rough. I checked the prices of the cabins and normally those empty ones are sold cheaper but definitely not for 300 euros. In my last trip with DirectFerries from Newcastle to Amsterdam I managed to get a cabin for a very affordable price. I think DirectFerries should take good notice of this.
"Disappointment"
Our friends and family recommended Balearia to go to Menorca. However, because of our time and place of departure and arrival, we had no other choice than to take Trasmediterranea to go from Barcelona to Mahon. The outbound ferrywas fairly clean, but the staff not welcoming to French passengers. No menus in French (only in Spanish and English). The inbound ferry was dirty, unconfortable and dilapidated. No entertainment on board either. It's a company to avoid.
"Some improvements needed"
On time. Cabin reception: correct Cabin cleanliness: bad Restaurant and bar: worth the worse canteen Day restauramt: lack of staff, tasteless frozen food, overpriced.
"Crossing "
We made a very good crossing.
"Ferry Trip"
A 1st class experience from start to finish. From booking, through the port staff (both in Barcellona & Mahon) to the crew of the ferry nothing was too much trouble. Very helpful they all made the trip effortless & an excellent part of the holiday.
"A night crossing"
A pleasant crossing with quality staff.
"excellent journey"
the journey was similar to the one Genova/Olbia, but it was really fast in the embarking / disembarking procedure with the car, it was not so crowded, the ferry was nice with free wifi and swimming pool, the ferry was clean and well presented, the only negative aspect was the queue at the self service restaurant.
"Bad Journey Palma-Barcelona"
The negative aspect which I have found during this journey: the bar was closed after only 20 minutes from the departure port. There were not adequate number of seats for everybody. The bench seats outside were not so good, the most serious thing was in regard to the staff as they were impolite . I regret the money that I spent on the ticket - 400 euro!
"A bit disappointed"
We made some crossings with BALEARIA last year and we were entirely satisfied. We tried ACCIONA this year (it was offered first by Directferries). We are very disappointed with the service. We felt like we were travelling aboard a cargo ship… The service was minimal, the cleanliness was poor, there was an awful smell, there was no swimming pool (only two shady showers outside). A poor choice of food. We paid about the same price the last two years for a cabin and the confort and the service were a very different.
"Barcelona Ibiza ferry"
A 40 minutes to disembark with the car in Barcelona. There hasn't been a single announcement in French for 36 years (Spanish, Catalan and English). A lot of French families use this route. The cleanliness is very average. The staff is pleasant and competent.
"Not enough space for breakfast"
During our crossing from Palma to Barcelona, we regretted the lack seats around a small breakfast table. With young children, you cannot eat anywhere. Moreover, the ferry was not a big ferry with a pool.
"An excellent experience"
We enjoyed our return journey between Barcelona and Palma: reception, punctuality, cabin and seat confort. We would recommend it.
"Barcelona/Ibiza/Barcelona crossing"
The inbound journey between Ibiza and Barcelona was very pleasant and fun! The outbound trip however wasn't good at all. We felt like we were on a cargo. We had bath mat as towels (2 for 4 people). Plus the bathroon wasn't clean at all. There was an obvious shoe mark on the floor.
"Perfect"
Everything is well organised, concise and quick. The food is decent and offers a good value for money. The staff is pleasant and the cabins are clean.
"Not a great ferry"
Hello, I am not recommending this ferry with Trasmediterranea. We took the ferry at 11pm and slept outside on the floor. There were not enough seats for everyone. We were cold all night long and couldn't sleep. Moreover, the toilets were not clean. Two toilets for about 200 people, that's not much. Ladies, don't were flip flops or pumps. There is urine on the floor. I'll fly next time. Regards
"Barcelona Palma crossing"
Our trip was very nice, as we came early, we didn't have to wait to check in. We boarded at 11pm and had a good night sleep. We arrived fresh and rested in Palma. The inbound journey was more chaotic, because it was a mess to get our tickets in Palma, the parking lot is too small. The crossing is pleasant and we are planning on booking again with the same company.
"Not great"
Outbound journey at night: decent cabin Inbound journey during the day: There doesn't seem to have enough seats. The catering is very average. My son stuck his fingers in an access door. There is noone at reception. If there was more competion, this company should make some efforts to keep their clients.
"Quite journey even though we were cold "
On the way to Ibiza, we travelled during the night and had to sleep in the seats but we didn't manage to sleep at all. The air-conditioning was so high that not even with cardigans did we manage to sleep. On the way back everything was OK. The only thing that we missed was the typical cold sandwiches before lunch and in the afternoon. As for the rest, everything OK.
"Not great"
Not enough berths on board. The booked seats at the bars are stormed by people who haven't booked them. It's a mess and if you want to sleep a little, you have to sleep on the floor. It's the last time I will travel with this company.
"Cabin cleaning"
Durant the Mahon - Barcelona journey The shower drain was blocked and our bathroom got flooded. Moreover, the cabin strongly smelled of pee, which wasn't very nice. We wouldn't recommend to take a ferry like this, but if you have to…. The journey between Barcelona and Mahon was better.
"Very disappointed"
As the company removed the "fast" ferry, we had to travel with the night boat. WE WERE ALLOCATED CHAIRS! At the bar, all the young people were yelling how happy they were to travel. WE ARRIVED VERY EARLY IN PALMA and continued on to Alcudia and finally arrived very tired and angry in Ciutadella at 1pm (I am 77 y-o and my wife is 74)
"Return Teneria"
It was good, except that the lounges are smaller than on the boats we took the previous years. The boarding in Palma was moved to another port without us being informed. We had to wait for 45 minutes durant disembarkment for the trucks to exit. The line is getting worse and worse each year. There are no more fast boats (4h) from Barcelona to Palma., no more confortable boat for tourists (bu mostly trucks), no more shaded port to wait before boarding. Next year, we'll use a different company.
"Mahon Barcelona with the ferry"
The trip was good, but pricey for such a short journey. (380€ for 9 hours on board). Proportionally, a trip to Greece is less expensive.
"Trip to Menorca "
On the way to Menorca we stayed in a cabin since it was nighttime. The noise o the air-conditioning woke us up but it was the first day of our holidays so we didn't really care. The staff is kind and freedom with which you can move around the ship made it go faster. On its way back, it all happened very fast too, the food from the self-service was nice and the staff was nice at all times. A new way of going to the islands with the car. We'll probably repeat.
"Adventurous "
Neat cabin. But a slightly outdated ship. Poor iformation services regarding ports and terminals. Good value for money. Friendly staff that doesn't always speak English.
"Very correct "
I have to say that considering it was the first time I travelled by ship I really enjoyed it. Punctuality and very good attention to detail from the staff. Really pleasent trip.
"Trip Barcelona Mahon"
It is not the first time that we travel with Trasmediterranea and we enjoyed it. They are punctual, ship and cabin are clean. I can’t say nothing about the restaurant as we never used them. Have a nice trip!
"Sailing on the Sea"
Comfortable seating with Spanish Novello TV drama to watch. Helpful information staff. Sun loungers on deck for sun baking or snoozing whilst the ferry gently travels over the sea.
"nice crossing"
Everything went smoothly and without problems. We were very satisfied and relaxed arrived in Mallorca, drive at any time.
"On time, comfortable and smooth "
Check-in absolutely professional and easily. Embarkation on time, quickly and easily. Stay on board very comfortable, reclining seats very comfortable. Punctual leakage, calm crossing and punctual arrival. Disembarkation quickly, professionally and good support by very friendly staff. All in all: rating 1-2 Happy again.
"Satisfied"
Our crossing was punctual and on board facilities very satisfactory with helpful friendly crew.
"Superb!"
The facilities, decor and cabin were a great and pleasant surprise. The bar restaurant was superb-bright, large, clean spacious , beautiful decor. The cabin was brilliant, having a porthole and a sweet en-suite! The bathroom towels were very small and a little below par for u se after a shower but we managed. A great experience. The drinks were extremely pricey.
"Following my trip"
We wondered if the cabin had been cleaned. Why not leave a bottle of water per passenger in the cabin and a welcome word in Spanish, English and French
"We are going again in 2014"
Positives about the trip: fine service for boarding and the crossing was good. Nice that you can get your boarding card a few days head. Negatives about the trip: would be nice with some more information about how to get to the terminal, better seats for those travelling without cabin. A bit better at keeping the sailing times. But overall, a good service and we are using them again for our trip in 2014.
"Revamp needed"
Nothing to bad to say apart from the ferry could do with a revamp, it was on time.
"Impecable"
Nothing negative to say all went very well.
"Parking"
In Barcelona there is no parking for private vehicles over 2m very dificult if you're early.
"Ferry to palma"
Service was good with re: booking. Return from Palma to Barcelona was not so good due to stormy seas. On the boat there was just a lounge with a television on too loud in Spanish. Virtually no functioning electrical outlets available on the ferry.
"Recommended travel choice"
Great trip, only change would be that pre-travel routine at the check in could be optimised and quicker.
"Pleasant journey."
Relaxing crossing in reclining seat!
"Sea trip"
Staff exceptionally dedicated in the vehicle deck when we boarded the ferry (we had two cats) and cabins were good too. I would and probably will gladly repeat this trip without concern.
"okeyish"
The lady at the reception was pretty brash. She has also referred us to an inferior category cabin. This we only noticed on the way back, as we then stayed in the Premium rooms and we noticed the difference. It was probably because of low season that the food left a lot to be desired. Loveless fast food. The staff could hardly be seen during the crossing. Well, we tend to recommend Balearia for travel. Otherwise, the ship was ok. Everywhere plugs for the tablet. Enough exercise opportunities indoors and outdoors.
"Bad directions"
In the port of Barcelona, the signs from where the ship should leave were poor and very hard to find for non-locals. This could be improved! The trip was great.
"Truly perfect"
We travelled on the Trasmediterranea ferry between Barcelona and Palma. Ferry both ways was great, cabin great, food in restaurant also good. Departed on time, but the boarding in Palma wasn't at the same place coming back as was when we arrived. Fortunately we get there early so found the new port which is in the direction of the cathedral, and well sign posted. Overnight it is definitely worth having a cabin but no need for a daylight crossing. Parking the car on the ship could be a bit easier too!
"Brings people to the island and back, but nothing more than that"
The ferry was punctual and clean for a ferry. Disappointing, that nobody spoke English or even German, so once arrived, you had no idea when the cars would board or even where you had to go. The port in Palma was difficult to find, I was lucky to be 2 hours early. The operator should inform people better and employ English speaking staff, as most passengers were international. Next time I will try another ferry. The interior of the ferry was minimal. Only a few screens showing Spanish tv. The shop had very few products and the restaurant offered the usual overcooked food. Prices were ok. With a crossing of 7 hours boredom sets in quickly. On our way back the ferry was 30 minutes late.
"Quick crossing"
Quick boarding in Palma, staff friendly, ferry clean, food as always onlly ok, cabin very clean. This has been my 25th or 30th crossing, have stopped counting.
"Not much choice, so have to take whats available"
Whether you travel with Balearia or Trasmediterranea, the crossing is long and not very puncutal. This time, with trasmediterranea we had about a 90 minute delay without explanation when departing Barcelona. On the way back had no issues. The self service restaurant is like a cantine so best to eat before you get on the boat where possible. Not a great experience if you are travelling with a dog. Dogs have option of being in a kennel on the deck during the crossing with varying temperatures, so better to keep animals in the car. Shame we no longer have the fast ferries that do the trip in just 4 hours!
"Party time"
I highly recommend a visit to the onboard club if you’re travelling at night - especially on the Barcelona-Ibiza route. Younger crowd onboard and really nice environment. We met many people before we got to Ibiza!
