"Service from Sete to Nador"
This is the second time Of using this service. I would not recommend the service unless you REALY don't want to drive through Spain. The timings requires are crazy 4/6 hours prior to departure. Which then proceeds by 4/6 hours of sitting waiting. Both Sete and Nador are very badly organised. They cannot process an inbound and outbound ferry at the same time. The only slightly positive was that inbound to Nador was around one hour which is a bit less than I have experienced in Tanger. But Departure form Nador is a whole day wasted. The Crew on the Ship are helpful but the ships are very tired and many ares closed off. The food is very expensive for what it is. Small wonder the Moroccans bring their own food. The ships arrival and departure times are never accurate. Note that if the ship arrives at a certain time you should then allow at least one hour to get off the ship. Then the processing time in the Port. We just arrived into Sete Ship docked....1.5 hours to get to car and drive off and then 2 more hours to have a passport checked. This was on top of a ship that was going to arrive at 12.30pm, re-scheduled to 15.30 and actually arrived at 18.30. So it all comes down to This experience verses driving though Spain and the hotels, wear and tear associated with that. Just be well prepared for all the hanging around and a final tip, if you have a Camp chair bring it with you on the boat. The Moroccans hang around in the Bar, Not drinking anything, but using all the chairs!
"Very bad"
The workers are so ignorant and one of them that works in the restaurant/caffe starter arrangement and wanted to fight us, I will never book with your company so is my friends and family.
"Great experience"
Other than the wait to get on the ferry, it is an easy experience. We opt for a cabin to sleep during the night and arrive at our destination early the next morning.
"Good but don't go to the restaurant!"
I slept very well, it was clean. Only thing, the restaurant was horrible on GNV Cristal, the staff was unfriendly and the food did not seem fresh. Don't waste your money there. On our way to Palermo it arrived 1h earlier than planned. On our way back to Naples, there was a delay of more than one hour.
"Cheap and interesting way to get Palermo to Naples "
Much better than expected from reviews. Cabin clean and functional- even the shower worked!
"Great trip and ferry... However! "
Could not book easily... No explanation of inside or outside cabin... Family cabin meant expensive... More descriptions on the website please. Ticketing and drop off in Naples was shambolic and in a torrential thunder storm. Palermo was the same... No Ferry buildings on site. Thankyou Faye
"Excellent sailing"
Very good trip with GNV
"Excellent journey"
Having read previous reviews of this trip I had low expectations. However, the food in the bar was fine (toasties, sandwiches etc), and drinks both reasonably priced. Room in the bar to sit and eat. Our cabin was great, good sized double with clean bathroom and decent shower. Getting on and off was also straightforward. Really early arrival though!
"All good except for the restaurant "
Not a bad journey smooth sailing with small cabin with 2 bunk beds comfy and clean. Only downside was the restaurant the food was way overpriced and was awful ordered tomato mozzarella salad and a pizza. The pizza was a watery mess and the salad was awful! The mozzarella was watery and the olives had no flavour at all they tasted like water! Very disappointed the waiters were rude I have no problem spending money on good food but this was horrible would not recommend anyone eating there you are better off eating at the bar!
"Review "
Bathroom was dirty. Furnishings and carpet need to be replaced
"Butlins"
If you enjoy Butlins at Skegness this is the cruise for you. 2 out of 3 restaurants closed. Terrible food in the 3rd. 4 bottles of beer in the bar for an overnight sailing. It's terrible. Late setting off, due in at 6am. Still waiting to disembark at 8.45 for a flight at 10am.
"Not all plain sailing"
We sailed on board the GNV Cristal on 12 September 2017. Martitime weather had predicted 3.5m swell in the Tyrrhenain Sea and GNV text messaged me to say the departure time had been changed (but not given a renewed departure time) but to check in as per instructions on the evening of 11 September 2107. We checked in at the Palermo wharf as requested and received our boarding passes. We walked to the foot passenger queue beside the ferry. At no time was there an announcement made in either Italian or English that boarding would not take place until 2300hrs that evening. There were families with young children, elderly and disabled people waiting in the queue. I phoned the GNV company at 1930hrs and was told that boarding would commence at 2100hrs. This did not happen. There was no explanation offered by the shipping company as to why passengers could not board. There were several scuffles that broke out between angry passengers and the crew. The Carabinieri, Coast Guards, Metropolitan Police were called, the fire brigade and an ambulance turned up! Unbelievable! If the GNV knew in advance that the ferry was not going to sail until 0600hrs the next morning why didn't the company make an announcement on a speaker from the ferry or have a company representative at the port terminal to explain? Other cruise companies employ this particular type of customer relations technique with great success. We were allowed to board the ferry at 2300hrs. We were offered free bottles of water, which is not a satisfactory way to appease hundreds of weary travellers who had been waiting to board since 1800hrs that evening. I had prepaid meal vouchers - there was no signage on board at the restaurant to state what you could choose for your dinner or breakfast with the vouchers. We had no idea that because we had ordered latte (milk) to go with our cereal that this would then not entitle us to two coffees! I complained and we were given two complimentary coffees. Shame GNV, your customer service is sadly lacking and unfortunately we shall not use you company again or recommend your company to anyone.
"Good alternative to travel"
Perfect possibility to travel van Palermo to Napoli vice versa. Only negative comment: the chaotic way for embarkment.
"Great first time in a ship"
We had a wonderful time in the ship, we even thought it was a short ride, we would have like it to be longer to enor the ship more. The room was of a nice size and comfortable. The restaurant was good.
"Homeward bound"
We took the ferry from Palermo to Napoli. The port in Palermo is just off the city centre and therefore very easy to find. Our outside cabin was clean and tidy and we had a good nights sleep. We had booked a and paid for an evening meal and breakfast but if we were to do this trip again I don't think I would do this again as I didn't feel it offered value for money. It was easy to organise the booking through the Direct Ferries website and I would certainly use them again. Our ferry departure was brought forward by one hour and they contacted us by both email and phone to make sure we were aware of the change.
"Trip to Palermo"
Sailed on time ,not ideal for foot passengers ,lift with no information and no staff to help , Cafeteria staff unpleasant ,,going to Palermo food cold ,on return to Napoli one hour delay for foot passengers to leave the boat ,In my view not a good experience for foot passenger,
"Adequate, but very slow boarding management and limited facilities"
We travelled from Naples to Palermo on the overnight crossing in June, as foot passengers. Boarding was extremely slow and we had to stand in full afternoon sun in a queue for the passport check; by a single member of staff! He was very persistent with the passport checking, even though it was an internal crossing from one part of Italy to another. We found it difficult to accept this was a tight security measure, as nobody ever checked our hand luggage and one group actually walked right through the car entrance gate (without being challenged). We then had to walk up the car ramp, between boarding cars and stand in a queue for 20 minutes for a lift to take us up 4 decks. Surely there should be a foot passenger gangway, or foot passengers taken on separately to vehicles? Once on the ship, we checked in and found our cabin easily. It has everything necessary for one night (in common with most ferries). We sailed at 20.00 and found the main bar shut. Why! No explanation. The smaller bar/snack bar had few seats and a large seating area, which was obviously used for eating, was cordoned off. Again; why? In the self service cafeteria there was one member of staff on a single till. There was a big queue. Another member of staff was standing around beside a second, unused till. Again; why? We had a decent nights sleep and docked on time. The PA then called 'passengers travelling in groups, without a car' to disembarque. We took this to mean coach parties. It was actually aimed at 'passengers on foot', so we ended up sitting around waiting to be called and felt like idiots. Better communication would help! If you are going to make announcements in English, try to make them accurate. We disembarqued via a tower staircase, which had a luggage travellator. Much easier than walking through the car deck. If you expect basic ferry facilities, this is OK, but they really need to think about these few basic issues. Think about the passenger experience! Not just how to get them from A to B.
"Serious Delay"
We boarded on the ship named 'Majestic' around 7pm, leaving Napoli for Palermo. It was scheduled to depart at 8pm but was delayed for about 6 hours ! There was no announcement on the ship about the delay. We checked with the reception staff for a few times and finally they advised there was technical problems. It was scheduled to arrive Palermo at 6:30am next day but we landed at 1pm ! It was a very bad experience !
"i heard you going to give back 25% back because of the delay can you please let me kmow"
we arrived very late at tangiers it was a very bad experience so please let me know about the refund
"Naples to Palermo and back"
Took a ferry from Naples to Palermo and back on late September 2016. Easy boarding and disembarking. Nice on board restaurant. Had a 4 berth cabin with sea view and we were very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of it. The ferry arrived with a slight delay in both directions, but both times we were out of the port before 8:00.
"Excellent"

"Napoli Palermo"
Good
"Perfect"
A very comfortable trip beds were comfy and all went according to plan
"pleasant trip"
I will say pleasant journey. But the bartender in the morning should be a bit nicer and shoul have a better respect for the food hygiene. Thanks
"pleasant trip"
Clean ship and kind staff
"Fun journey to Napoli."
The two person outside cabin was perfect for our journey from Palermo to Napoli. Really enjoyed being on the ship
"Pleasant trip"
We had a very enjoyable crossing overnight. Food was good, cabin was clean and comfortable and crew were helpful.
"perfect"
Everything was perfect. The boarding happend with no problems, the departure was punctual as the arrival. Good services on board; a huge cabin (we were in two), bar well equipped (open all night), kind staff.
"all ok"
All good but we did not use the restaurant
"excellent trip"
Excellent trip with really qualified staff
"Comfy beds, good food and good service!"
Had our own room for an overnight ferry for a very reasonable price, left 5 minutes late. A lot of choice for food and drinks on board. Beds were very comfortable.
"napoli-palermo and return"
All ok but the return was 1 hour delay
"Trip to Palermo, Napoli boarding"
Nothing to say abotu cleaning, hospitality and services. Everything is perfect. Not really punctual, 2 hours delay, because they started the boarding procedure in late. This is why I am not really satisfied. In conclusion the trip went well.
"Nice experience"
I travelled with my wife and 2 kids in a cabin, all perfect
"All smooth"
It was the fisrt time that we travelled with this company and on this route, everything went well and the opportunity of travelling at nigh made the trip restful, the ideal to face the rest of the trip
"excellent"
Nice Ship, kind staff, in my opinion is an excellent service. Thanks
"you can do better"
Delay was remarkable. Get back the car was tragic, long waiting between exhaust gas, INFERNAL HOT!
"Palermo-Napoli"
Excellent service, I will only improve the boarding service and in partirculare about the motocycles.
"Sicily's trip"
Nice trip, sicure, reasonable price and quite pleasant for a family
"All ok"
Departure was in time and the arrival in advance, plus they let us boarding before the departure and it is not always permitted.
"trip Napoli Palermo"
In July 2015 we travelled from Napoli to Palermo with GNV, we were fine and few days before the departure they offered us the cabin for a really good price, it was a good trip and everything went well
"Napoli pPalermo trip"
Amazing trip, wonderful weather
"Nice crossing"
Trip was absolutely enjoyable, with competent and friendly crew. Thanks
"Seats"
I don't have much experience about ship in general. I know a bit about ferries. I can say that my experience with GNV has been positive! The only flaw was that there are no seats on the lower decks outside. To find a seat, if you wish to get some fresh air, you have to go to the last deck and if you are a senior it can be quite tiring!!!
"What I would choose and what I would not"
I travelled on board the Tirrenia ferry to go from Napoli to Palermo with a deck space, it was a good journey like that one I did few years ago to go in Sardinia with my kids. I travelled with SNAV (Grandi Navi Veloci) for the return journey and it was a nightmare: no couches where to lay, loud music coming from the club close to the only place where we could stay, 1 hour to get off the ferry once we arrived... never again!!!
"Excellent journey"
Excellent journey, helpful and kind stadd
"Comfortable cabin with friendly staff."
Having never travelled overnight by ferry before, I was unsure as to what to expect. I was really pleased with the journey, it was comfortable and pleasant and had excellent facilties onboard. The staff were approachable and friendly.
"Excellent journey"
Excellent journey, all times respected
"Very good and nice journey"
We did a nice trip, the cabin was nice and well equiepped to spent the night. My hausband felt sick and he recived immidiate care. Really helpful crew.
"Rome 5/6/2015"
A really nice surprise.... Punctual, clean, excellent bar service always open anf friendly staff
"Great way to travel from Sicily to Naples!"
Travelled to Sicily by train from the UK and took the boat back to Naples to make a 'round trip'. From arrival at the port to check in, everything was perfect! Easy check-in and walk across the dock to board the ship, welcomed aboard and found our comfortable, clean two-berth cabin with bathroom. Plenty of public accommodation space, enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast in the cafe with good coffee as the boat arrived into Naples. Excellent value for money considering the distance travelled and quality of overnight accommodation. Highly recommended.
"trip"
Time flown wonderfully
"All good but a big problem..."
Nothing to say about the transport. Punctual departure and arrival, quiet crossing, efficient and well maintained ships, nice accomodations. Not really good service at the restaurant. The staff in the garage did not give us proper information about how to reach the upper level of the ship. The way out is really hampered by trucks, chains on the floor. It is really dangerous! I saw with my own eyes a family wit little kids walk in front a truck few seconds before it stated moving!!! ABSOLUTELY DANGEROUS!!!
"Punctuality and availability on board"
Excellent, in few weeks I travel again to Palermo :)
"Napoli-Palermo-Napoli Oct 2, Oct 10 2014"
this was our first time taking an overnight Ferry. Much of it was frustrating for the following reasons: 1. There was no information that told us to go to reception to get our room key so we went directly to the room and then had to move our baggage twice. 2. On the trip from Napoli to Palermo the speaker system was impossible to understand either in Italian or English. 3. On the trip from Palermo to Napoli the staff insisted that my wife get out of the car and climb the stairs to board, which is difficult for her as she has a bad hip. This was not the case on the trip from Napoli to Palermo. 4. On the Napoli-Palermo trip we tried to buy a drink at the bar and the bartender told us he could not make change for a 20 euro bill. That is intolerable. On the positive side, the meals at the restaurant were very good and relatively well priced; The accommodations were clean and reasonably comfortable; the staff was friendly and helpful for the most part, except for the one who insisted my wife walk up the stairs to board and the bartender who refused to accept the 20 euro bill for our drinks saying he had no change.
"A nice, very spacious boat with decent facilities and particularly helpful bar/café staff."
A nice, very spacious boat with decent facilities and particularly helpful bar/café staff. The staff only speak Italian, but why shouldn't they - this is a service from Italy to Italy. The approach to loading and vehicle securing is pretty southern Italian too - namely very relaxed. We secured our motorcycle ourselves as we weren't happy with the way it had been done but, as this is the Med, not the North Sea, it would have been fine just with the two bits of string (OK, thin rope) used by the deck crew. We'd happily use this service/ company again.
"Better than last time"
I travelled with a Snav ship, not sure if the Lazio or Sardegna. There was a difference respect the past years. The catering service is not the best, too expensive. Same for the self-service. People travelling from Napoli or Palermo usually buy sandwich and drinks before to get on board, it's cheaper. We notice that the kennels are now better, but pets should have an area only for them.
"Napoli-Palermo and return"
we travelled with Snav. Amazing ship with a lot of services. Nice staff
"great trip"
positive experience, departure on time
"restaurant"
I didn't like it
"they can improve"
all good but the air conditioning onboard is really too strong. At 4am the temperature was better outside than inside. It doesn't make any sense. But the ship was very clean and tidy, the departure on time and the staff very nice. Recommended
"not well organized"
I took the ferry from palermo at 9am and I arrived at napoli port around 18.30-19.00 . I travelled with a cabin but the staff asked me to leave the cabin at 16.30. not fair!
"great way to travel"
Having taken a train from Rome to Catania , Sicily and experienced the train being ferried over to Sicily was a great way to get there..Wishing to spend more time in Sicily and finding the "Direct Ferries" site , reading reviews and selecting to get a cabin were all good decisions. The ship was great ,clean and all staff, crew on-board were more than professional about their duties. 30 + years in the travel industry has shown me more than one "good idea I wish I never had"..This was NOT one of them..The entire experience from boarding to departure was a delight.Arriving the following AM in Naples well fed well rested and ready for the next leg of our travels was the best and I look forward to more travel on Ferry/ships in the future.Great Job
"Napoli-Palermo and return"
I think it's fair to say that even if I booked with 2 months in advance, they gave me a cabin on the deck close to the ship's engines. So I had to ask for another cabin paying €40 more. That's the only negative thing that I can say. The departure was on time and the trip relaxing. Best Regards
"nice voyage"
Great way to travel from Naples to Palermo while you pass the night in a cabin.
"Excellent crossing"
Excellent crossing from Naples to Palermo is to recommend.
"Boat trip was nice but check-in was confusing.."
We rented a Family Room for 2 adults and a child. The photo showed a Queen and a couch. The couch actually folds over into a real twin bed and another twin drops above for 2 bunks. The bathroom was clean and big with toiletries and slippers. The carpet and bedding were a little dated but everything was clean. The rest of the ship is actually quite nice with 2 dining areas, a coffee bar/dance floor, a TV room with 4 or 5 large screens and theater seating, and a gift shop. We didn't use anything except the coffee bar for breakfast since we had to be awake so early. They will not let anyone down to their car until it is time to drive off so you wait a good while in the lobby while the foot passengers disembark. Some truck drivers showed up just before the ropes were lifted because they knew the process (extra sleep). Once they let you down to the cars, it goes fairly quickly so that is probably why they want everyone ready and waiting. Check-in at the port, however, was confusing for us. First of all you must change your email confirmation for actual tickets at the check-in building. The email we received did not say SNAV only Grand Navi Veloci and there are two ferry companies leaving at the same time. The first entrance into the port says SNAV but it is not for cars(foot passengers maybe?). The car entrance is the last entrance with the official PORT Entrance sign. Once you get your tickets, which is a fairly quick process, then you have to drive your car directly behind the check-in building but you have to drive off in a completely opposite circular pattern to get back. There are people to ask. WARNING: We booked the reservation knowing we were taking a rental car and put Hertz/Hertz in the make/model. That did not work. They made us go back to the ticket office and get the tickets reprinted with the actual plate number and it cost an extra 25 Euros. Take your rental key in and have them put that information on the tickets before they print them the first time. We were glad we allowed 2 hours for check-in. Otherwise it was a nice ride with nice views leaving Naples. The seas were choppy overnight but I don't know if that is normal. Not enough to get sea sick but since we were not used to the waves we woke up several times. Overall, I'd do it again.
"Travel from palermo to Naples"
Booking with Direct Ferries was functional, a very pleasant travel, I recommend .Iwas surprised about the early closing of the restaurants.
"Goede ervaring"
We waren blij omdat wij de voetbalwedstrijd konden bekijken. Onze kamer was schoon en wij vonden het leuk om het schip te verkennen. Prachtige uitzichten met zonsondergang op de reis vanuit Palermo.
"My Review"
Was a pleasent journey. Good food, comfortable beds, easy sleep.
"Recommend Grandi Navi"
Our trip was overnight from Naples to Palermo and back. The room was clean and had outlets to charge our electronics. It's pretty tight in the bathroom/shower and should have had an extra towel to soak up the water on the floor. There were three of us and had to ask for the third towel. We brought our own food after reading reviews of the food on board so can't review their fare. All in all it was a good trip.
"Very average ferry"
Unfortunately I made a mistake with the reservation so I went with "Autostrade del Mare" instead of GNV, the cabin that we has was too small and the beds uncomfortable. We are elderly people and in the return my husband preferred to sleep in the little sofa, the ship was really old, only redeeming factor was that the staff were quite nice I hope they don't loose the job for all of those inconveniences.
"Crossing March 2014"
The crossing was perfect thanks to the perfect sailing conditions. The cabin was really clean and in the morning after it was possible to have breakfast at the bar, the staff were really kind and helpful, it seemed to be more like a cruise than a ferry trip. Completely satisfied
"not recommended "
at least the food was good. Cabins do not clean, shower too small and only with poor function. in the hallways in the cabin area smelled strongly of marine diesel.
"Drive from Naples to Palermo "
Everything was good, the cleanliness! However, when disembarking we were almost 2 hours in the aisles before we walked to the car. There were no announcements, or fast and in so bad Italian and English, that nothing was understood. But cabin and restaurant, everything was perfect!
"Great"
Great facilities and experience.
"My Journey Napoli /Palermo and return"
All quite good, I changed the seat to a cabin whne I got on the ship, I recommend GNV and Snav Sardinia to everyone…
"Crossing Naples - Palermo "
Training and arriving on time, fast loading (motorcycle), the cleanliness of the ship and in the cabin there were no defects. Comprehensive food offer in the self-condition restaurant, quality of food ok. It was an older ship (MS SNAV Lazio BJ. 1989, since 2005 is under SNAV staff in service), the equipment of the vessel is therefore a bit dated, but still quite ok., only to part of the English language. General remained a positive impression, we would not hesitate to go again with this ferry.
"Thoughts of the crossing Palermo /Naples"
Very good value for money
"There are basically do nothing BUT ... "
We had booked for the trip from Palermo to Naples an outside cabin for two. The cost of the train and on the flight for the same distance would have been cheaper, we deliberately opted for the ferry. We would like to add that we already have "Mediterranean crossing" The cabin was clean, and the cabin small. We had a bunk bed, a small table and a small. Storage space for our suitcases. The bathroom was also very, very closely. In Comp. to other ferries we were in the school grading system, a 3 - to give.
"Excellent service"
The service was excellent
"Peaceful Journey, very comfortable ship. "
My wife always refused to travel by ferry, but this time she was pleasnatly surprised and she enjoyed the crossing a lot, we were lucky even with the weather, the crossing was really peaceful and comfortable, we would make this trip again!!
"Palermo/Naples"
the members of the staff were really efficient. The ferry was clean very nice trip.
"Excellent crossing "
Trip that met all expectation of a night crossing; the ferry offered nice entertainment: it's been a while since I've been travelling on a ferry like that. Overall a pleasant journey.
"Naples-Palermo"
All perfect.
"Fresh and sleepless "
Unfortunately, the very air conditioned bedrooms (felt 15 degrees) and throughout the night were lit. In the port of Naples there is no traffic control so that one hours jam delayed the trip by car.
"Round trip Napoli-Palermo"
Goodmorning, I travelled with my wife and I have to say that everything was perfect, nice ship, comfortable and elegant, we will repeat this experience. The only flaw was that the air conditioning was too strong, we mentioned it but nobody did anything about it. It was very cold, in fact many people prefered to stay outside, on decks. What a pity.
"Quiet ferry crossing"
We had a wonderful journey on both ways. The only flaw is that they allow dogs to be in the same areas as other passengers/children without muzzle.
"Positive experience"
I found the journey quite nice and the ship has arrived earlier to the destination than scheduled
"positive review"
I found the journey quite nice and the ship has arrived earlier to the destination.
"Comfortable trip Naple-Palermo "
I travelled with Grandi Navi Veloci from Naples to Palermo in August. The ferry is very big and comfortable. in the seating area there are 2 different seats types, the standard and those wider and comfortable (but not suitable for sleeping) but they are not numbered. So, first come, first served. On the return, we preferred sleeping on the floor with some guys equipped with mats, pillows and blankets. It was better than the seats. The only flaw was the air conditioning...it was too strong, you need a jacket and blanket to sleep.
"Excellent service"
Good value for money.
"Nice experience"
Very good experience with VS, the only negative aspect was about the booking where there wasn't specified the position of the cabin, which it resulted to be close to the bottom of the ferry, so we couldn't manage to sleep. A part from that, nice experience.
"Napoli-Palermo"
We booked a crossing between Napoli and Palermo. On the electronic tickets, it was only written Grandi Navi Veloci. We had to look for a long time, before finding the boarding place and discover that the tickets were to be collected at the SNAV ticket offices. The boat was good and the crossing went well otherwise, except for the restaurant where they allow you to seat at 9.30pm, but make you understand right away that you must leave because they are closing.
"Our opinion"
We had a pleasant trip, the cabin was quite comfortable: the same as other ferry operators used in the past. The only difference was that this ferry was on time and it's a very good point if you travel with small children! I appreciated the delicate way to wake us and in which they invited us to leave the cabins. In my previous experience we were asked to leave the cabin too early. I noticed a good organization and a good value for money.
"a pleasant crossing"
Palermo Napoli crossing in economy berth cabins. Berths for 4 used by 2 people only. Confortable: shower, toilets, electric plug. Game areas. Choice of catering. Reasonably priced food. The staff (on the boat anyway) was caring.
"Night crossing Napoli Palermo"
Comfortable night crossing from Naples to Palermo, except for the air conditioning (too cold on departure, too weak during the night)
"Sicily 2013"
I've used the ferry, a night crossing, to get to Sicily...excellent organisation during boarding and disembarking operations. The restaurant service was acceptable, except for the frozen croissant. My accommodation in standard seat was a bit uncomfortable for such a long trip but acceptable...
"A Napoli Palermo crossing aboard the"
The reception was good, the timetable is respected, the boat is confortable. We had an economy cabin on deck 2. However, we were outclassed and had a cabin on deck 7
"Crossing from Naples/Palermo"
The embarking/disembarking procedure was fast and efficient. Well done!
"Napoli-Palermo trip with m/n Sardegna"
We had h1 delay on the outbound journey. The air-conditioning wasn't adjusted properly resulting in the cabin being too hot at the start of the journey and cold during the night. Also, the cabin was smelly and the toilet door wasn't closing properly and was opening and closing constantly during the night. Food service was acceptable. Disembark process was far too long. The return trip with m/n Lazio was satisfactory.
"Vacation"
Great trip with departure and return on time. Armchairs excellent accommodation, taking into account that both outward and return the ship was not full. Restoration in accordance with the type of ferry.
"Journey- Palermo-Naples"
Everything fine on my trip between Sicily and Gulfo di Napoli!
"A very good jourmey"
Travelling with Grandi Navi Veloci was a good experience. Apart from being good value for money, the cabin was comfortable, food was very good and timekeeping was within what weather permitted, the sea being a bit rough. I would certainly recommend the Napoli to Palermo crossing with GNV.
"Good trip"
The whole experience was pleasent, with some delay on departure.
"Good crossing"
I travelled with my wife from Palermo to Napoli, as we had arrived at Sicily through Villa San Giovanni-Messina. Both arrivals (outbound and return) were on time, although the disembark was a bit slower on the return, as the lorries disembarked first. We ended up leaving the boat 40 minutes after the ferry had actually arrived at the port. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. The food was ok and there was plenty of choice. However, the shop didn’t have much variety. It’s a good option for those who are not willing to drive to the south of Italy, and prefer to rest before arriving to Sicily.
"Old shop but very nice still"
Ship was old but well maintained. Good competence and courtesy of the staff. Satisfactory cleaning of the cabins.
"Naples to Palermo"
The boat leaves at 20:00, boarding is at 18:00 but you cannot get your boarding cards before 16:00. Best to arrive after 16:00 and well before 18:00. The personnel seems reasonably efficient. The cabins are small, old and tired. The bathrooms are small and the shower minuscule. However, they are as clean as their age will allow and there is hot water. Also, shower water does not spill over onto the bathroom floor. There are also towels, sheets, pillows and blankets – one per person. As ferries go, it's cheap. Compare half the distance and almost twice the price on the 'boat' from Trapani to Pantalleria and you begin to appreciate SNAV Sardegna. There is a good-sized cafeteria/restaurant as well as a bar. There isn't much choice food-wise and it all seems pretty tasteless. This must be a general view as the restaurant was full when we made this journey and most people seemed to leave a good portion of their dinner.
