Very bad service with Balearea. 4 hours and half of delay. Last time I go with you.
"Algeciras to Ceuta crossing"
For the past few months I've been having to travel to Ceuta and I only have praise for the ferry and the crew. It's always been a smooth sailing without any hiccups! The crew are always welcoming, polite and with a smile. You can't go wrong choosing Balearia, that's my view anyways
"Great trip from Algeciras to Ceuta"
Everyone treated us well, the seats were very comfortable, and the ferry was on time for the most part. We enjoyed our journey and would take Balaria booked through Direct Ferries again.
"I hate people"
Only problem was smoking peaplo right behind the doors to the deck, so everytime someone opened the doors you could smell cigarettes and it was really disgusting ...
"Trip to Ceuta via Balearia"
Would recommend to use Algeciras port via Balearia, everything is well organized, efficient, no nonsense.

"Good trip, pleasant and in time "
Good trip, pleasant and in time
"Pretty awful"
All staff we encountered in both the ferry ports and on the boat were rude and abrupt. There was a 90 minute delay on the return journey, no information, no assistance, incredibly rude passengers just lots of pushing and shoving and screaming unruly children!!!
"Trip to Algeciras"
It was good the company punctusl and the ship clean
"Not good"
Bathroom of women: only one was open - 50 women were waiting! The one bathroom open, was dirty and had no toiletpaper. I told this to a staffmember, but they didn’t take care for it! We had 1/2 hour delay.
"Very helpful staff "
On time , comfortable and helpful staff
"Spanish Authorities and port staff"
The ferrys both to and from Ceuta were great. I particularly enjoyed the ferry from Ceuta to Algeciras as it was very well presented and you could go up stairs and stand outside. However, the manners of the Spanish individual who checked my boarding pass in Algeciras was very poor who was shouting at me as I was passing through the gates to enter the waiting area then advised me I was to early so started shouting at me again to return to the land side waiting room. Also on the Ceuta side when I was passing through the Spanish border checks the port guard was asking me for my DNI through a window in an Spanish accent using the accrument with the phonetical pronunciation to a foreign national (me) who is used to being asked for ID or a passport in the English pronunciation. When I was taking a split second to work out what she was asking me for she took this time as an opportunity to look at her fellow workers who all laughed at me (basically) and they collectively made a perception that I am crazy, or thats how I felt. Also when I was waiting to get the ferry from Ceuta to Algeciras there was an old lady who was late with her husband and she was fat. The member of staff from Baliaria was shouting at her telling to run and using foul language, lecturing her on how she shouldnt be late for a departure. Now I realise the Spanish are bad mannered around the south of Spain as I study Spanish and as part of the degree I have learnt alot about cultural differences and have a good understanding of these things. I read an article in el pueblo on the way back from Ceuta and it was about problems at the border with economic problems in Morocco and the desarollo of tourism in Ceuta and how one had to be dealt with to encourage the other. I never knew the word desarrollo so looked it up on the internet. When I seen the meaning was development I laughed out loud because if you want to desarrollo the tourist industry in Ceuta its probably an idea that port staff stop shouting and swearing at the passengers. The port staff should be trained to be aware that in some cultures the concept of manners exists.
"Nice "
Very good
"One day trip to Ceuta"
The ship transfer was a good experiece and a good and fast way to visit the city of Ceuta.
"Fun fantastic "
It was really good trip in the ferry thank you .Hassan
"Waiting for a refund"
We recently took a bus from Benalmadena to Algeciras to get the Ceuta ferry only to find out the boats had been cancelled for two days due to severe waves. This was the third day. We stood in line for 5 hours and one boat after another were cancelled. The speaker system was so bad nobody could hear the few announcements. Eventually we simply left the terminal as the line at the ticket office was huge as well. We are back in Canada now and are waiting to see if a refund will be issued!!!
"Smooth Sailing"
The booking process through DirectFerries was fast and convenient. All the necessary information was provided on the website. The boat we sailed on was clean, comfortable and fast. Boarding and disembarking was relatively efficient. We were slightly delayed in leaving but still managed to get to Ceuta in good time.
"GALE FORCE WINDS"
A very rough crossing but very comfortable seating making it a pleasant trip
"balearia ship"
departure not on time, 80 minutes late outbound and return.
"gib straits crossing"
The ferry was punctual and the staff very obliging All facilities were clean and equipped properly.
"A mixed bag"
The staff at the port in Algesira is not very cooperative. It is, however, in Ceuta. The crossing was perfect. I recommend it.
"Problem during the inbound journey."
No problem during the crossing from Agesiras to Ceuta. The service was great, the boutiques were open, we could access the bridges freely. Between Ceuta et Algesiras, it was a different story. We were stacked in the cafeteria, the restaurant was closed and it was impossible to access the other levels of the boat. The two duty-free boutiques were closed during the whole crossing.
"Good crossing both ways"
An efficient fast service.
"Trip"
The trip was fantastic. No problems and punctual.
