"Bon voyage!"
It was a great voyage, comfortable and pleasant in every way! Thank you!
"Perfect answer for Mallorca to Ibiza"
This was a great answer for our trip
"Great trip"
This is a very smooth journey , very enjoyable , time passes so quickly and no hassle. Will definately be using again
"Excellent service!"
An easy journey from start to finish. Punctual service. The ship was amazing with plenty of facilities to keep everyone amused.
"chaotic return"
No matter if you bought the ticket for a particular day and a particular time with Balearia, Acciona, FRS or any other company. When you arrived to Tangier Med, neither schedule nor shipping companies are respected, everybody has to queue in the same single line to wait a ferry to board. Among customs formalities and waiting time took over three hours. After sailing, dock in Algeciras port (which is not the third world) two ferries almost at the same time and disembarked approximately 500 cars with 2,000 people on board, spanish authorities competent (or incompetent?) only habilite to enter the European Union four customs control, so it takes two hours to go through passport control. I do not think it can be organize an operation worst Crossing the Strait in worst way.
"baleria - algeriras to tangier med"
1.ferry was delayed by an hour. 2.very little information was given by staff who didn't speak any English. 3.email sent by direct ferries was not accepted by staff who eventually issued a ticket!!
"ferry"
good ferry and you can also travel with your car. Maybe the prices are not low, I spent €80 from Palma to Ibiza, but if you can't find a cheap flight, it's a good alternative
"comentary about last travel from Tanger to algeciras"
It was very satisfactory travel with Balearia from Algeciras to tanger, the ferry in good condition above all the one on the return very comfortable, clean and fast. The only negative thing was the delay.Anyway my valuation is positive for the crew very kind and professional.
"Great"
I recommend the crossing of the Strait with Balearia. The ferry is very comfortable and with very good amenities and the staff very friendly.
"Great trip to Ibiza"
We live in Andalucía and decided to take a holiday in Ibiza, taking our own vehicle. The whole ferry experience was well managed, from boarding, to the service in the bars and restaurants, to disembarking. The pool bar during the day is a fantastic place to sit and read and have a drink and some freshly-grilled food. If the crossing is in the evening there are lots of places to sit with comfortable allocated seating or tables in the cafes and bars. It beats flying, anyway. We'll be doing it again.
"Journey Dénia - Ibiza July 17, 2014"
Hello, The trip was good, punctual, agreeable. We ate well in the restaurant (though to pay with the card we had to wait to arrive to Ibiza because the machine did not have signal). The port in Dénia was easy to find and the issuance of the tickets was agile. The port in addition is modern and comfortable. The toilets at the end of the trip were unusable. The only difficulty that we had was that our vehicle was completely surrounded with huge trucks and getting there was an frightening experience and (I think) dangerous. We had to walk among enormous trucks that curiously has turned on already their diesel engines before the doors were opened. I think many of them were carrying fresh food and needed it to refrigerate them. Otherwise, I do not understand how it could be possible. Thanks. Greetings, Luis Schroeder
"Trip to Ibiza"
Good prices, comfortable.
"Comments"
The boarding of the cars is very quick. The crossing is perfect. We didn't try the food.
"Denia-Mallorca Return Ferry Trip with Balearia"
On time, modern ship with good facilities. The small restaurant (as opposed to the cafeteria) well worth the additional investment!
"Good Trip"
We had a good trip between Mallorca and Ibiza on Balearia. The ship was comfortable and very easy to find, board and be seated. Lots of facilities on board to keep you occupied. Staff were friendly and helpful and the ferry was on time for departure and arrival. Would much rather this than air travel.
"A journey between PALMA and IBIZA"
A beautiful journey, a splendid boat
"Great way to get from Ibiza to Spain"
This was a very enjoyable trip, the ferry has a small open air pool and bar with music playing, the sun was shining and the vodka and oranges were going down well. The ferry left on time and got to Denia on time. Google earth gives the impression it leaves from same place at Formentera ferry but it does not, so check first or get taxi as I did.
"The service is improving"
It was a long time i didn't travel with ferry to Peninsula due to the bad condition of the service plus the mistreatment of employees. Now it seemed that both are considerably improved .Only is not working the punctuality due to the vans's boarding.
"crossing"
The seat of Neptuno's class are very confortable. The crew is nice but the air conditioning is a bit instable and the television too loud ,but for other highly recommended.
"Boat journey Denia-Ibiza"
We indeed went to Ibiza and back on the Alhucemas. Firstly: our experience with DirectFerries was fine! The ship was old but our stay on board was fine. Our only remark is that the slow boat takes 3.5 hours, whereas the fast boat onbly takes 2. Arrival and departure times are correct. It's possible to have a meal and use WiFi (extra charge) aboard. Boarding and disembarking takes some time. The complete experience, also to Mallorca on a fast boat before, is fine!
"Perfect trip "
Perfect trip .
"Palma-denia-pala journey "
I loved it. It'd been a long time since I did this route and it was spectacular. I wouls only add that the users are not very civic and they don't follow the cleaning norms.
"Easy booking and no stress involved!"
I was surprised that the price was cheaper than booking direct with Balearia, so was a little suspicious. No need to be though. The process was easy and I printed my voucher which I exchanged at the Port when I arrived. I will definitely use Directferries again, and have recommended them to my family and friends already. I was crossing as a foot passenger from Palma to Ibiza for my daughters wedding so I had 2 big suitcases with me. The staff were helpful and I was well taken care of.
"Good service "
We had a very pleasant trip. Well-organised boarding. Pleasant staff and ready to help. They should improve the disembark. We were travelling with a trolley and it took us 40 min to dismebark. More affordable prices would also help.
"Great Experience"
A great experience overall. But would be better had it been some seat number assigned. Otherwise it's hard to get good seats and lot of people sleeping on the couch so we had to spend some time on the crappy chairs. After sometime we managed to find some nice seats though!
"Ibiza to Denia "
Crossing was a nice experience. great weather in April. Hotel Argos LAGT in Talamanca, and very near the ship station. (5 minutes by taxi)
"a crossing between Palma and Denia"
The crossing and pleasant, but a bit long because of a stopover in Ibiza. The boarding portal to Palma could be better signposted.
"Balearia ferries to Ibiza"
Alhucemas did the job as expected and we had a pleasant voyage. The easy and clear Direct Ferries website was good too. Prices cheaper than others and booking directly with Balearia themselves.
"Crossing Palma Ibiza "
It was very pleasant, would not hesitate to ride it again
"Denia to Ibiza"
Easy to book, good departure lounge. On time and comfortable. Think it would be good to be told which port it is coming into in Ibiza I make this journey quite often and find it to be quite expensive for a foot passenger.
"Balearia ferry "
Has everything worked out great. Booking via directferries.de was constructed in a simple and clear. To escape the hustle and bustle at the crossing, it is good if you book 1st class (Neptuno). There are wide individual seats which can be adjusted comfortably.
"Balearia "
The service in the restaurant was disastrously slow and disorganized. Everything else was very well fitted.
"Take the early ferry!"
We took the 6AM ferry from Tanger Med to Algeciras, and basically had the whole ship to ourselves. There were probably more crew members than passengers. Still, they had the bar open and we got breakfast on the boat, while watching the sun rise over Gibraltar.
"A nice crossing"
The outbound crossing was more difficult: a lot of people, dirty toilets…. There was less people during the inbound crossing at 5.30am. Consequently, the installations were cleaner. The cars were parked a bit too close to another, it was difficult to disembark.
"A long wait"
We were crammed on the pier all day long in spite a booking for the 12pm crossing, which left without us. People were waiting since the previous day. Tiring, exhausting, revolating. Never again. We were put on a boat from another company a long time later.
"Baleria ride "
poorly organized with a delay of 12 hours. after that we took FES ferry
"Channel crossing "
The ship is modern and comfortable. The staff is attentive and qualified. You have to take into account dates so as not to have problems with the route. On the way back from Tanger, the organization was very bad and we were delayed by 3 hours (i don't know whose fault it was).
"Morocco via Spain"
A good journey with a big fog. We were supposed to leave at 12pm, but only boarded the boat at 1pm (apparently because od the weather). The employees of Balearia are adorable.
"Disaster!"
The organisation at the port of Algeciras was deplorable. Boarding looked like an exodus with thousands of parked, disillusioned, and tired people, pushed by some aggressive civil guards. The Red Cross was there, but couldn't help the whole population. The return journey from the Marocan side was as organised as the Spanish were lax and ineffective. The boat we took on the way there was clean and the grilled brochettes were good. On the way back, the boat was bigger and the food was far from being nice.
"Algeciras-Tanger crossing 2013"
I am disappointed with the reception this time, while I usually cross with this company (Balearia) without a problem. Moreover, they made me pay an extra 65€. I will no longer use this company and will advise against it.
"Algeciras - Tangiers Med"
The staff were very helpful on both legs of my journey. However, the boat was very late in the morning, reaching destination an hour late. It was a pleasure to take a journey on such a scenic route. I look forward to travelling again with Balearia.
"From Tanger Med to Algeciras "
I used the service (just like a passenger) to cross from Morocco to Spain. The ship facilities (the Alhucemas) were very comfortable and the attention to detail of the staff very correct. I would use again the Balearic ferry services again.
"Punctual and efficient"
I travelled twice from Algeciras to Tang Med and I found the service really efficient, fast and organized, The garage member of the staff were really professional for the embarking / disembarking car procedures…
"No service, unfriendly staff and nearly 6 hours late! "
I'm traveling a lot around the world, but something like that I've never experienced before: - 18 clock ferry should have left the harbour, 17 clock we were in port and got our tickets - 18 clock we were still at the gate where the bus would take us to the ferry. There was no message or info, we asked the staff what was wrong with the ferry - If you say, that staff was rude, that's a clear underestimation! - Gave answers such as " in 10 minutes ", " I do not speak English " (although one has spoken perfect English and " We do not have time " - from eye rolling up to ignoring and to shouting, everything was included. - From the " 10 minutes " it took hours - and no one informed us at all. that sounds like a joke! But it was like that! We get the same statement " in 10 minutes" again and again. - They were refusing any statement at the moment we wanted to takl with the bosses. - It got later .. and with the sundawn it was also increasingly cold. - Even older persons in a wheelchair was not helped although they repeatingly asked for it. - And you could not top impertinence after this happened: against 20 clock (after we asked for another twenty times) we got the answer " what? you are still here? the ferryhas already arrived long time ago " It turned out that the bus driver forgot to pick us up and bring us to the ferry. - So we were at 21 clock on the ferry. - The goal was not reached, since the ferry only debarked at 23 clock! - Punctually as we entered the ferry closed all the bars / restaurants on the ferry - great, now we were starving and freezing on the ferry and drove about 30 minutes to Algeciras. - All in one, we can say, that we for the crossing from Morocco to Spain - the 15-kilometer - required nearly 8 hours! Incredibly unfriendly staff, no organization or service - and at a usurious price of € 50 per person!
"Easy experience travelling Tangier Med to Algerciras with Balearia"
We booked this leg of our trip, from Morocco to Algeciras, online. We were really pleased at how easy it was to book. All the staff, from the checkin, to the staff on the boat, were very happy to help us. It was a great experience.
"Ferry Algeciras-Tanger Med"
The crossing was OK. Comfortable. Punctuality could improve. The person working at the restaurant was a bit lazy, and he served Moroccan people before anybody else, even if you’d been waiting for ages. On the return, incompetent people at the port, asking us to remind them when we booked (as usual) instead of searching on their system effectively.
"Tan med experience"
We used Balearia ferries to see if there was an improved service on Accion ferries. It was slightly better service but overall not as good as going from Cueta. We used Tan Med ferries to save journey time. This was not the case as both times going from TanMed the ferry was approx one hour late departing. Ferries from Cueta leave on time so the extra drive time does not make the trip any longer. Balearia service was ok but the port facilities signs etc are very poor. We actually went through immigration then took a wrong turn and ended up back in Morocco? Coming back is worse at moment 2013. Because the immigration entrance to Morocco is being upgraded. General comment is go from Ceuta not Tan Med.
"Pleasantly surprised"
The trip went according to plan and we had a first Class cabin booked. We were pleasantly surprised and would book them again at any time.
"good service with balearia"
slightly late, but mostly good service. Your website is great to book ferries in Europe, thanks.
"We will be back"
New boat, well maintained but more than 1 hours late there and back. We can not rate the food as we did not test it.
"Good crossing"
The ferry was punctual. The cabin was clean and relatively spacious. The bathroom was also clean and satisfying. The food on board was miserable. The cold food had to be heated with one single microwave. Also the only bad on board was closed.
"Enjoyed our trip"
We were very happy with the service we received a very pleasant crossing.
"Dusty cabins"
Sadly the cabins were very dusty, the same as the last crossings in the past 2 years. The dust comes from the ventilation system. Otherwise everything was great.
"Good trip"
Had a good trip with Baleria, on time, polite and helpful staff and a clean ship.
"All very well"
Punctual, clean and competent crew.
"Alhucemas!"
My family and I travelled onboard the Alhucemas last August and we were surprised by the quality of its services! The cabins were big and most important, clean! and the quality of the food was surprisingly good! The movement of the ferry was really subtle so the whole journey was smooth and we could relax, which was the most important thing for us, as we had been driving for many hours, and still had some more to go! Would definitely recommend this ferry!
