Onboard the Stena Scandinavica there is something for everyone. There's an à la carte restaurant, the Food City buffet restaurant, a large shop, a cinema, several bars, a casino, special conference rooms with lounge and bar, a night club and numerous fun activities for children are organised during the peak season.
The Stena Scandinavica (like her sister ship the Stena Germanica) has an elaborate choice of cabins ranging from a standard inside cabin to a luxury suite with a stunning views of the sea. All cabins are ensuite with bed linen and towels provided. Cabins are also fitted with DUX mattresses for the best sleeping comfort to ensure you arrive well rested.
You'll find a relaxed atmosphere and a wonderful menu at the Metropolitan à la carte restaurant. If self service is more to your liking then 'Taste' features an elaborate Scandinavian buffet with herring, salmon, fresh salads, cold meat, warm dishes, a selection of cheeses and several desserts amongst other things on offer. Stena Scandinavica has no shortage of bars. In the 'Metropolitan Bar' you can relax and enjoy the great atmosphere with a choice of alcoholic beverages, beers, wines, fresh coffee and snacks on offer. The stylish 'Riva bar' is the place to be for wine lovers with a selection of 50 wines on offer. The Albatros conference lounge and bar is open for everyone. Serving beer, wine, rolls, coffee and pastry, you can read, play a card game or just rest. Provided the weather is good, the Sun deck bar should not be missed. Enjoy the wide sea view and watch the sun set slowly behind the horizon with a cold drink in your hand. The onboard experience is completed by the C-View night club (open in peak season and during theme night evenings) which promises a night full of festivities and glamour.
The onboard shop offers everything from perfume, make-up and skin care products to jewellery, sun glasses, crystal and souvenirs.
The casino features roulette and black jack tables, all the latest films are available in the cinema and you can surf the internet from the onboard wifi or the internet terminals.
The Stena Scandinavica has a childrens play area.
The ship has special cabins adapted for disabled passengers.

We had a verg nice cruise on board... however we discovered upon arrival that the data costs of the network are outrageous. Not much prior. nformation ... not very fair!

Should have checked ages of travellers.I and my partner were allocated a two bunk cabin.One on top of the other.Now I am 71 and did not like going up a ladder with round rungs, not flat.Also men of my age are prone to getting up in the night.Will never use again.

Most of the experience is good, however the heating in the cabin isn't. It was hot and the oxygin ran low during the night. None of the temperature buttons helped.

JUST ARRIVED BACK HOME IN SCOTLAND HAVING TRAVELED WITH STENA LINE THEN WITH DFDS TO NEWCASTLE FROM NETHERLANDS. I HAVE TO SAY THAT THERE IS NO COMPARISON BETWEEN THE FERRIES TRAVELED ON. THE GERMANICA WAS EXCELLENT, FOOD GREAT AND ROOMS SUBSTANTIAL WITH GOOD FACILITIES. ONLY ISSUE WAS THAT THE ROOM WE WERE ALLOCATED ON THE RETURN SAILING FROM GOTHENBURG TO KEIL WAS NOT MADE UP, HOWEVER AFTER SPEAKING TO STAFF ON BOARD A DIFFERENT ROOM WAS ALLOCATED.

Nice cabin, quite spacious - bigger than the Stockholm to Finland cabin with Viking. Buffet supper was excellent, but you need to book when you get on board - some people did not get in as all the sittings filled up.

We were travelling to Sweden and broke down in Germany which meant we would miss our Kiel to Gothenberg boat-the lady at Direct ferries was so lovely made very helpful suggestion to onwards travel and in the end of it we travelled Rostock to Trelleborg and got a full refund on our missed trip.Go. All I can say is when we felt like crying and cancelling our trip your lovely lady made the difference with no fuss ,bother and heartache-Thank you

A most pleasant and relaxing evening enjoying our cabin and the facilities that the ferry has to offer. Although we were very close to the " dog cabins!" Their barking did not bother us too much.. The personnel were most helpful and freindly. The trip was a perfect ending to our one months holiday in England. In the morning we felt refreshed after a good nights sleep on the comfortable matresses. Ready for our drive to Stockholm,. We will definitely be travelling with Stina Line again as we have many times in the past. The most comfortable way to travel to Denmark and Germany.

Clean, comfortable, efficient services from check-in, to cafeteria, and departure. Elevator services and coordination in getting to car deck could be communicated better (those who can walk the stairs should be encouraged to do so)

Ferry clean and tidy. Staff on board very helpful and kind. Everything excellent. 5 stars. Only flaw, the company website wasn't very clear and to amend my ticket I had to pay an extra €123 for a fee that should have been only €51. I had a problem with my motorbike in Lapland and I asked to amend the date 4 days in advance. On the website, it was clearly stated that to change a ticket i had to pay a fee. I understand that and paid to change the ticket. On my return, I went on the website and realised that it's not very clear how much the amendment fees are and their terms and conditions. The Direct Ferries agent i spoke to was very kind and initially told me that the fees would have been around €51 (she had to check with Stena). Later, she called me back and told me the fees was actually €72. The agent was sorry about the inconvenience. I believe Direct Ferries was not responsible for this. Therefore, i tried to contact Stena but after speaking to different agents, in 2 days, I gave up. I would like to point out that Direct Ferries service was precise and reliable. The agents very kind and helpful
"Nice ending for a long drive from Portugal to Sweden!"
It was lovely to board and rest on Stena Scandinavia after a 3320 km drive from Portugal to Sweden. We booked a Skylight suite on deck 11 that had a fantastic service. We are very satisfied and will therefore do this again, as we live in both Portugal and Sweden. Thank you Stena Line for a nice trip!

If you are going to bring the car to Germany there is only one way to do this. Take the Stena Line ferry from Gothenburg to Kiel. Easy embarking, even easier check-in. You are met by staff and crew at all serving places. The amenities on board are impecable. On time departuers and good service makes Stena Line a winner.

This was a good experience, the ship was on time, clean, comfortable & friendly. The food was great, steak I had was first rate as was the buffet breakfast. I was traveling with a car & caravan it was all good but I think the price was too high.

I had injured myself during our holiday in Sweden and I was not looking forward to the return journey. On check-in, with a red disabled card, priority treatment, parked in front of lift, received a wheelchair 'upstairs' and had an excellent journey. Was escorted to our car on disembarkation in Kiel. Excellent service and nothing but praise for Stena!!

So, I was right all along felt comfortable on this ship. The rooms were small but perfectly adequate, well prepared and well air conditioned. The sanitary facilities were very good and clean. Initially I had problems with opening the boarding pass at the room, the card reader was perhaps not quite right or something. you then comes there with his hands full of luggage to the door and nothing works ....... of staff in the first instance no trace. But after some try the castle then went on .... On the outward journey with Fjord Line I did not have such problems. Otherwise, everything great ..... and the prices, well just Scandinavian.

"Perfect Journey"
It was all perfect, from the booking made via web until the end of the journey. We travelled with the whole family (2 adults + 2 children) & the motorhome. We enjoyed a lot the dinner and the breakfast. Perfect the calm of the embarking & disembarkation procedures.
"Greatest Overnight Ferry Trip"
We initially booked comfort class outside cabin and found that there was insufficient space for our luggage - we upgraded for a modest price to the Jacuzzi luxury cabin and had the greatest dining and resting environment! Crew are very helpful and display great customer service at all times.

Very clean cab, only the window (Captains Fiew) should be clean in order to view. The dinner a la carte was very good. The air conditioning in the restaurant was unfortunately so we had to pull something cold. Overall, a very comfortable and pleasant voyage.

Even better than it used to be. We took this ferry every year for 10 years in the 80's and 90's. However, I hadn't taken it for 10 years. I was very impressed with the changes. The boarding is no longer stressfull. There's more space for the car. The size of the bed is good. The quality of the buffet is better.

An excellent experience! We particularly enjoyed the prestations available during our inbound journey (Goteborg / Kiel), which weren't available during our outbound journey in June: distribution of a permanent ticket when leaving the hold to find the car more easily when disembarking, deck chairs on the upper deck, a splendid performance by a talented pianist who made the waiting time before the departure pleasant. Moreover, the confort of the cabin and of the berth enabled us to have a good rest, before carrying out with our trip. Just one remark: the cabin access cards don't work properly. You need to try several times.

Almost everything o.k. The plan was, as always, the money exchange on board .... unfortunately no longer possible. On board itself is not a problem, since euro and credit card possible. But after leaving the ship in Gothenburg, we first had to find a bank and also a car parking which cost us almost an hour ......

This was my first trip with this type of ferry, at least on a long trip, and overnight, nonetheless. My anxiety was redundant, everything was well organised I could easily navigate my way to the cabin and then back to my car. Looking forward to my next trip.
