"Crossing to Denmark "
The Halmstad ferry port is hard to find, even satnav doesn’t help much. No signs in the town and not even on the industrial estate helping the traveller to navigate through the twists and turns. At check in is fine and loading. The facilities are better that the Travemunde crossing without being a floating shopping arcade. If you don’t have a cabin for this short crossing you may have a reserved recliner; not as comfortable as they sound as they barely recline at all also the room is very cold so time a blanket or big coat. The rest was disrupted by three Scandinavian coffin dodgers who chose to chatter for half the time but that’s passengers not the downfall of Stena. Personally I think I would prefer the spectacle of the Oresund crossing
"Fijne overtocht"
Als men een relexstoel extra reserveert, maakt dat de overtocht nog fijner.
"Another calm trip"
The weather was blustery but the boat was stable and quiet. A good price for the trip. The seats were comfortable and the facilities on board were good. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.
"Excellent ferry service"
A very pleasant trip on a clean ship with good facilities and friendly helpful staff. The boat itself was very stable and it was a smooth crossing even though it was windy weather.
"Not cheap. Too many operators with identical pricing all stating "Cheap" fares."
On the outboard sailing my wife had her bag lifted just before docking in Rosslare. Fortunately whatever lowlife lifted the bag didn't have time to fully check contents as bag was found by a passenger and handed in to the purser very soon after it went missing with thankfully nothing taken. TIP - Keep your valuables very close to your person! Liked the clear safety instructions from the captain. Would like to see some real discounts when advanced booking. Could have joined the caravan club which would have saved circa £50 but joining would have also have been £50. Certainly worthwhile joining the CC if more than one crossing is taken per year.
"Dublin to Holyhead"
Excellent voyage on a clean, well equipped ship. Friendly staff and comfortable seating.
"Waiting for refund"
Booking was as easy as climbing into a lobster pot. However the ferry was cancelled and we were put onto another ferry at a later time from a different port which disrupted arrangements. Tried many a time and oft to contact Direct ferries for some written confirmation of this but the phone line they offer, I spent over an hour and a half waiting on over various phonecalls just to speak with someone. I have been promised 50% refund on my journey. Who knows how long I will be waiting for that!? I will be reviewing this review in a day or two if nothing is forthcoming. Perhaps I will be surprised - but there customer service availability is not much to go by. Fingers crossed. Stena line seemed ok and more with it, but Direct ferries, once anything goes wrong are a bit of a cock up.
"Trip "
Good
"excellant trip"
Nice café & facilities at Fishguard, friendly staff. Boarded and left on time, good crossing. Return from Rosslare again on time and although a bit more crowded found places to sit.
"Good but not great"
In terms of convenience for return to Denmark this ferry is a good option and easy to access. The ferry was punctual , the staff were competent and friendly. The ship was clean but of the two tables I sat at there were empty cups waiting for collection. My only real grip was the limited choice for breakfast as the restaurant didn’t open at outset and the cafe was limited. Other than that I would recommend
"Stena plus lounge"
when i did the booking i was unable to upgrade to stena plus, so when we borded i went to the plus lounge to enquire if i could upgrade but was declined as the answer from the steward was it was booked up.During the ceossing i was passing the plus lounge to get to the toilet and from the start of the crosssing to the end the lounge was never more than half full . Why did the request's get refused. On the return i was able to get the upgrade when i did the booking ,and passengers was asking for upgrade and still getting turned down although at most i counted 16 passengers in the lounge at peak time.
"Tripp"

"Grenna Varberg"
Customer experience much better than Fredrikshamn to Gothenburg

"Great route for a campervan"
We were in Stockholm looking for the best route back to the UK. This ferry came up trumps. Great value
"Fantastic"
A great crossing. Very efficient and very enjoyable. Sailed past Denmark's biggest wind farm. Highly recommended.
"Seating"
The restaurant was (fully understandable) closed on the very late ferry trip which resulted in seating being very limited. In the middle of the night when you are tired people need decent seats to rest in! People should not have to sit on the floor.
"First-timers"
We are frequent visitors to Sweden from the UK but this is the first we used this connecting ferry. It was punctual and efficient with some excellent offers in the duty-free shop! We will definitely use it again.
"Nice crossing"
After a generous and very nice lunch we spent the rest of the time on sun deck. The sun was shining and Kattegatt almost as bright as a mirror. A perfect trip.
"Crossing with Motor Home."
A good service.
"Kiel-Gothenburg "
I was on the ship all liked it!

"Norwegians travelling from Sweden to Denmark"
We were graceously welcomed on board by the staff and they asked us if we wanted today's newpaper. Very friendly staff in the cafè. All in all a very pleasant sailing from Sweden to Denmark.
"Nice journey"
It was a comfortable journey in every way.
"A good journey"
We are so happy with our journey Varberg-Grenå. The ferry was big enough, good activitates for the kids which made it easier for us during the whole journey. The breakfast buffe was really good, especially because the kids could eat for free. Good thing having breakfast on the ferry was that we didnt need to stop for food for a long while when we were in Denmark. I could definitely travel this route again!
"Varberg to Grenaa"
Great trip, cant fault anything really, food was average i suppose but the rest was fantastic!
