"Trip from Santorini to Piraeus"
This is the quickest ferry route to the mainland
"Boat cancelled"
Why did you ask me to review a trip which was cancelled by you?
"Cancellations happen with no warning "
Once on board the ship was fine, but our crossing was cancelled with no warning, we were asked to come back later for the next crossing, that one was also cancelled, so we had to stay an extra night in Athens, and then get the one the next morning (and I’m not sure everyone was so lucky). Be aware basically that the ferries can get cancelled and have a back up plan. It’s all weather dependant but there is no communication from sea jets ahead of time to let you know.
"Poor ticketing "
Very hard to get tickets in Naxos, even I had paid and checked in.
"Ios to Athina"
Delayed by 45 minutes. Problems at shore with engine, which delayed the ship by 3 hours. The organization and communication of the staff was very incompetent.
"not helpful or understanding...left my cell on the boat and couldn't get it back even if it was only"
disapointing as no human compassion
"Ios to Piraeus"
Ship was punctual and mostly clean, bathrooms could’ve been cleaner
"Excellent service from Seajets"
I travelled with Seajets from the port of Naxos to Heraklion on Friday 13th September. Although the ferry was about 80 minutes late departing because of high winds, I have the highest admiration for the staff who worked so hard to get all the passengers to their destinations in very adverse weather conditions. If we had not sailed I would have been stranded in Naxos with heavy luggage and nowhere to stay. Despite the weather the crossing was quick and relatively comfortable. My thanks to all the staff for their professionalism.
"Fast and efficient "
Boarding was simple and straight forward. Seats were spacious and comfortable. Journey was smooth and punctual. Good ferry crossing.
"Excellent"
Fast and on time. Smooth sailing
" Mykonos and Thira (Santorini) with SeaJets on the Champion Jet 2"
We werer stuck below dfck for 10 minutes in choppy water which was not much fun and quite dangerous. .For some reason there was non access to the deck?
"Some employees can be real A**holes"
My 5 hour trip from Mykonos to d’été was meant to be smooth and comfortable in the Platinum cabin that cost me 100€. My ticket was purchased online so when I got to my preassigned seat. My section did not have reining chairs!! It had the lever to recline, but it wouldn’t. So I kindly asked the Platinum intendant if he can help me recline it: The middle aged man’s response to me was; “CAN’T YOU SEE THE TABLE IN FRONT OF YOU!!?? (I said ‘yes’ noticing that my section had narrow tables along the back ends of the seats in front of me. So he replies in a deep broken aggressive tone in English ‘ SO HOW YOU WANT TO RECLINE!!??’ Trying to make me feel really stupid! I looked at him calmly, realizing he is not in a right frame of mind and tried to explain that I spent 100€ specifically to recline as I have a back injury. He didn’t give a shot, was unhelpful and even refused my plea to sit elsewhere until, if necessary, I will move for another passenger in the case the embark on the next stop. He claimed they were sold out. I went to the Accounting desk on the second floor and spoke to a man in a uniform. He was very helpful and sent someone to go tell this guy exactly what I had proposed. Long story short. The guy that works in Platinum on the Seajet ferry Monday the 22nd departing at 1:30pm towards Crete (direct ferries reference #DFP129392478 should be fired immediately. His attitude was choking towards many other passengers as well. We are taking these ferries as we are on vacation. On a good note, the Derry is clean!
"Amazing trip"
Our trip have been canceled and transfered to other boat, two hours later. The Caldera Vista, that was also late. Because of so many changes we lost our bus in Heracklion to Chania.
"Chaos at Santorini Port"
The ships themselves were great and the crossings fine. However, the staff on the Champion Jet were extremely rude - telling passengers to “hurry up” and queue to get off the boat before we had even docked at the port. Returning back to Crete from Santorini was pure chaos at the port - no organisation at all. Boats were significantly delayed meaning there was confusion as to who should be on which boat. Hundreds of people were left queuing in a pen outside in the direct sun for over 30 minutes with no idea of what was happening. The facilities at the port were also extremely poor.
"Lovely experience. "
This was the best little cruise we took to island hop. Their stops are super fast (which is what I loved) So I had a whole incident where we were in the waiting area and the ship came me and my friends got on put our luggage in the luggage area and I find out that I left my backpack in the waiting area (stupid irresponsible mistake) and all our passports and important stuff was in that backpack. I panicked and ran to the staff and they didn’t let me get off but their communication was so fast the other man off shore ran to the room got my backpack I see him running towards the ship to hand us the backpack, as the ship is sailing away the gates are going up and the man running with my backpack slowly disappears as the gates going up is covering him and my heart sinks. Within the next second all I see is my backpack flying from above and it was like a scene out of a movie. He threw my backpack so high up pass the gates and just flew down. If he was 0.5 seconds late my backpack would’ve ended up in the ocean and gone. But it was just amazing. How fast they communicated and helped me out. Highly highly recommend this ship.
"Another Delayed Service"
3rd Ferry with Seajets in a row to be delayed by more than 1 hour. This time it was 2 and half hours late. 3 delays eat up into your valuable holiday time, with no sign of offering amy compensation. Avoid this company if possible
"Disappointed "
We get an hour early to the port to catch our Ferry from Mykonos to Thira as advised on our booking confirmation. We’re advised that our Ferry Has changed to the the Paros Jet which will be departing 30min later then our scheduled ferry. Also the journey will be 3 hours as I needed to advise our driver waiting to pick us up. The ferry was late when it arrived at Mykonos and then took 5 hours to reach Thira! This is unacceptable!!! We wasted over six hours of our holiday, we would have been better off flying!!! It angers me how people lie straight to your face.
"Delay"
The ferry left around 30mins behind schedule and arrived 1h30mins later than scheduled in Heraklion. The staff never informed anything about the delay! Maybe it was partly because of the wind I don't know ? Being late this much caused problems for us because we were taking the bus after to continue our travel. So would have been nice if the staff had informed at least something.
"Will not travel with Sea Jets again! "
Nothing wrong with the boat itself on the outward journey to Ios arriving with a slight delay, however we received very short notice of a significant delay on the return trip which meant that we would not make our flight home from Heraklion. Our hotel staff advised that this particular ferry was always delayed by a couple of hours, but on this occasion the ship was experiencing mechanical problems and was further delayed!! Thankfully we were able to transfer to a more reliable operator and made our flight by the skin of our teeth!! Next time I will travel with a more dependable company!
"Service delayed"
On 20th August, my girlfriend and I had scheduled a ferry from Ios to Crete at 15h40, and the arrival time should be at 18h40. At the port in Ios, we got the information the ferry was delayed. Stressed because we had to pick a car up at 20h in Crete, I called the rental company to inform the delay and they explained the additional €21 (or €24, I don't remember) for each hour delayed picking the car up. We arrived in Crete after 22h! 3 hours and 30 minutes late! We got no support from ferry's crew and we had to pay additional more than €60 for the car rented. We also did not get any snacks, meals and refreshments we should have got, since the departure was delayed by more than 90 minutes. Even though we do not give importance to the bad information or the lack of refreshments, we had a big loss of money because of the rental car.
"Santorini to Ios"
Great trip from Santorini - Ios, boat was over half an hour late on a 35m crossing but we didn’t mind that - seemed to be due to the busy port rather than the ferry company and the journey itself including the embarking and disembarking once in port was incredibly efficient.
"Horrible staff service "
I bought a platinum ticket . It was my first time on a ferry, when I walked in and met with a staff and show him my ticket so he guides me to the plantinum area . He pointed me to an area which turned up to be the the normal class just on the upper story of the ferry and I didn’t realize I was on the wrong seat till I almost arrived to my destination. So I wasted my money on a normal ticket cause the staff didn’t point me the right direction
"Not amazing"
I've never been on a ferry where there was allocated seating?! Seemed very strange. So I had to sit in my allotted seat, in the very middle of the boat, when I would usually sit outside in the fresh air as I experience motion sickness. So with the heat, rocking motion of the boat and sitting inside it wasn't a pleasant trip. I also find it very frustrating that you have to pay to print tickets at the collection desk. There is no option to print online, so how else are you supposed to get your tickets other than being forced to pay for a print out? The pricing varies for the printint too- in Santorini it was €0.50 put in Ios it was €1?!
"My experience"
No doubts!. If you enjoy traveling waiting for the ship One our an a half more than the schedulled departure time and without any anounce or sign that warn you, or get Into the ship like cows, don’t doubt!..get this ship!
"Worth it"
Sea Jets was a great ferry, was a little late but I’m not fussed by things like that. The ferry doesn’t do direct trips, bare in mind it’s stops at a few stops and not just one. Comfortable and friendly.
"Good if you need fast transportation"
Traveled from Mykonos to Ios with a different company that takes twice the time to do the same route as this one (about 3 hours vs 1.5 hours). I did that because that other company was much cheaper. Then, when returning to Mykonos, we decided to pay extra to get a faster transport (to have more time to enjoy our last day in Greece), so we went with SeaJets. Not bad at all. Had this been the first/only company we had tried, I'd give it at least 4.5/5. But after comparing to the other company's ship, I noticed SeaJets has a LOT to improve. - If you want a fast trip, this is the ship to choose. - It's kinda like economy class in an airplane. You get a seat (that looks like an airplane seat) and stay there for the duration of the trip. You can get up to go to the toilet, or to get food. They don't mind if you stand up for the whole trip as well, but that's not very comfortable. The seats do feel much more comfortable than economy class in airplanes, and there is much more space to walk around. However, compared to the other company's ship, which had lots of couches, tables, etc, with a lot more space, there is no way the SeaJets' Champion Jet 2 can compare. - You are FORCED to leave your stuff in the "garage". Of course, if it happens to get stolen, it's your problem, since you have no proof you left it there with them. The ship isn't big enough to allow everyone to board with their luggage, so it's just how it must be done. But compared to the competition, this is very bad. - The toilet was disgusting. There was - literally! - even a lot of shit on the floor (besides the usual). This was by far the dirtiest toilet I've been to in my entire life. The competition's was not that great either, but nothing can compare to this. - We didn't interact much with the staff. All I can say is that the few that interacted with us were very rude. But that's how it is everywhere around here. You find really nice people, and then you also find these other people... nothing to be done I guess, just smile, politely reply if needed and move on. - The ship was late. But that is normal here. It would be very strange if it left or arrived on schedule. You can expect a delay from 20 to over 60 minutes in any trip. - We didn't get any food, since there was no good place to eat it (besides your airplane seat, with no table). So I can't say anything about it.
"Good service and pleasant trip"
I used the sea jet service twice during my holiday in Greece between Santorini and Mykonos and then to Athens. I was impressed with the service on board the Champion Jet 2 the seats were large and comfortable, the ship was clean and the journey was fast. On Champion jet 2 the refreshments were tasty my husband loved the apple pie. The turn around at port was quick though the boat was about 40 minutes late. I would recommend the sea jet service when island hopping in Greece. Communication by e mail and text with the company was efficient.
"Last crossing on our island trip"
Big areas and a travel experience in the nice weather. Good time planning, the boat departed and arrived according to the time table.
