"Cabins noisy "
Everything about the trip was good, good sailing, boat well equipped and clean but when booking there was no real info on the cabin. It was the basic cabin that come as standard in the price so was expecting it to be small inside cabin etc, however they are located nearest the engines and therefore noisy. If I'd known I'd have bout ear plugs or made a different choice but when booking through direct ferry there is no mention of this. Apparently (as I asked at the info desk on board) customers are clearly warned of this when booking with Tallink
"Scandi trip"
We were at a loose end in Stockholm so decided to visit Tallinn and Estonia for a fortnight in order properly to experience the country. The ferry was easy to book and to access at both ends. The cabin was as described, small but comfortable. The entertainment was good and the food also. We can recommend the grand buffet but, if not included in your ticket, you may need to book early and go to the buffet to make a reservation. superb range of food, wine and beer included in the price. Beware Swedes on a booze cruise, they can be a trifle noisy!
"Tallink Silja Ferrry Review"
I was traveling using these lines from Stockholm to Tallinn. Overall experience was good, but I did not like seeing people drunk on every corner, drinking spirits in their room, audience seemed to be in bad taste. I had couple of questions at information desk, but lady standing there could not speak a word of english.
"Excellent ferry; long walks for pedestrians"
If you thought that using a ferry would avoid the long walks so often necessary in airports, forget it - Tallink Silja want you to get plenty of exercise at both Stockholm and Tallinn (and this is especially true at Stockholm if you use public transport to get to the terminal). However once on the ferry the accommodation is excellent (we were in an en-suite cabin); the buffet dinner is superb and well worth splashing-out on - but note that there are two sittings (go and book your table when you arrive on board).
"Stockholm -Tallinn-Stockholm"
Victoria, Sunday night 19 Aug Double bed when two singles requested in premier cabin.....full ship impossible to change roomsaid information. Found Couple in distress cos they had singles so we swapped rooms. Trip was then great, WiFi good, enjoyed show and food in Grill Room. Slot machines dismal said my friend of Hobart Casino fame. We didn’t play cos they were pathetic Baltic Queen 23 August. Double bed again changed to single, this time after call to major office. Repeat food in Grill Room of same good standard, machines in casino still not worth playing, show very amateur. Could not get on to the WiFi of Baltic Queen despite their being only 1400 passengers versus the 2800 on the Victoria. Great service, time management wise, very professional and slick boarding and disembarking Gwynne
"Fantastic voyage"
The facilities on board the Victoria were wonderful. It was an amazing journey from Stockholm to Tallinn. Such great scenery. The cabin, on board shopping and entertainment added to such a glorious crossing. Well done Tallink From a Stockport County supporter.
"Good overall experience."
Overall a good experience. Room was clean, and comfortable for sleeping. Dining, both dinner and breakfast, were as good as expected. Helpful staff, and left and arrived on time. As a non-smoker, biggest suggestion is to move the outdoor smoking area away from the doorways. Each time when going to an outside deck, you have to traverse a haze of smoke from the smokers all seemingly congregated immediately outside the doorway, and immediately adjacent to the bar area.
"Fun on a ferry"
It was more like a cruise ship than a ferry! Had a good time and everything, including accomodation, was great. Could improve the wifi.
"Good ferry crossing "
Nice outdoor cabin with adequate space and ensuite facilities. Excellent views on leaving Stockholm
"Stockholm to Tallinn - a nice way to travel"
Lovely views of the archipelago on leaving Stockholm. Beautiful sunset later on. Relaxed atmosphere on sundeck with live guitarist/vocalist. Slightly marred by a couple of ignorant people, but you get them anywhere. Our cabin was on an upper deck giving a much improved night's sleep than on the route from Helsinki to Stockholm when we were below the car decks. It was well worth the extra cost. Service was very good, but my husband's meal was not great. The food came out far too quickly for any possibility that it might be freshly prepared in any way.
"very pleasant voyage"
enjoyed the overnight cruise; very comfortable deluxe cabin; good staff & facilities onboard
"Good trip"
Modern and clean boat which had all the facilities needed for the trip from Tallinn to Stockholm. Disappointed not to get breakfast in the ticket price (unlike trip from Copenhagen to Oslo)
"Our Trip Tallinn to Stockholm"
We travelled from Tallinn to Stockholm on the Victoria and enjoyed the 'mini cruise' on Fathers Day. Our Special meal in the restaurant was really good although the waiter was a bit pushy and didn't really give us time to study fully the menu. The show after was really good. The cabin was really clean and the journey into Stockholm in the morning through the islands was beautiful. we were lucky to have such good weather. Although it's nothing to do with the Tallink Silja Line be careful when you get off as the taxis will try to rip you off when there are transfer buses to take you into town. £40 taxi as against £12 bus.
"Smooth journey"
This was a comfortable and smooth journey. The ship has impressive facilities. My only complaint would be that everything is geared to relaxation, and little account is taken of those who may need to do some work. This could be improved if the Conference Area was accessible for longer and didn't have a Cuban dance band playing right outside the doors!
"Stockholm to Tallinn"
The ferry port in Stockholm was easy to get too. The self check-in service worked well. We boarded the ship with guides to help us find our cabin. The cabin was clean tidy and good for a 16 hour crossing. The food outlets were varied. we used the grand buffet it was excellent, beer soft drinks and wine included in the price well worth it. Large duty free shops to buy things if you had forgotten anything Overall a very good experience would recommend it. The fare was very reasonable to good value for money.
"Good Ride"
The ship was a good way to arrive in Tallinn. The crew was very competent and the facilities provides were clean and comfortable.
"nice trip"
Booking was easy enough. Cabins were clean and tidy. Nice ride and on time.
"Excellent trip"
We travelled overnight from Stockholm to Tallinn as part of a few days holiday in that part of the world. The ferry was very comfortable (we had a double bed) and the shower was fantastic. The buffet was good value and quality, as was the breakfast. The entertainment was dire, but we didn't go for that!
"All good!"
Everything was fine - nice cabin, nice boat; classy, and good value for money. Easy to book from a far-away country, and all was clear throughout, booking and travelling. Would happily sail again if in the region.
"Comfortable trip"
We travelled on board the Victoria 1 from Stockholm to Tallinn and back. Beautiful boat, perfectly on time, and all facilities are within easy reach..
"Pleasant Voyage"
The overnight trip to Tallinn on the Tallink Silja ferry was quite pleasant. Our cabin was very comfortable, the staff polite and competent, the observation deck quite accommodating to our needs, and the food options reasonably priced considering ferries have "captive crowds." All in all, a very nice experience!
"Great Trip"
Not what I'd expected. Had booked to get from Stockholm to Tallinn with our camper van, ended up with nights entertainment, comfy quiet room (rare while touring) and a boot load of cheep drinks for the trip! Would definitely recommend. Only advice, get to the breakfast buffet early.
"Nice experience"
First time on a ship. It was amazing travel between the Swedish archipelago at sunset... Suggestive view. On board there is also a SPA, €5 for 1 an a half. It's a pity that russian don't know how to be quiet inside the sauna. Reach reastaunts, there is not only set menu as I read on the reviews before booking.
"Excellent experience"
I loved to spent time on your ship even if it was only for one night. Excellent dinner and amazing view in the morning when we were going to stockholm!!!
"Good crossing to Tallinn"
Good beds, comfortable, good food.
"Good ferry"
Nothing to complain about
"A wonderful experience"
It was my first overnight journey in a ship. I was not aware before that a ship carries so much of facilities. Everything was wonderful. Be it the cabin, its two beds, attached bathroom and toilet, and other facilities in the cabin, all were not less than a good hotel room. Other facilities like breakfast, restaurants, shopping stores, dance club, on different floors were beyond my expectation. My earlier ill-feeling that I am overcharged (charged for a 4 passengers cabin for travelling of only 2 passengers) by website mistake has completely washed away. Thanks for my wonderful journey.
"Stockholm -Tallin 10 June -15"
It was difficult to find the check-in due to road works, but when we finally arrived everything worked perfectly. Nice buffet, nice cabin with everything you need. The ferry was newly built and you barealy noticed that the engines were running
"Positive Recommendation"
The ship was clean, the timing was accurate, food was good and there was also some possibilities to entertain yourself on the boat like disco. Unfortunately the top floor of the boat was not accessible for the travellers so there was only limited view from the boat.
"Starry Night"
We so enjoyed our evening on your boat. The first time we've ever had an outside room, a room with a huge window. We immediately put the pillows at the bottom of the bed where we could see the clouds and stars. The good was delicious, very convenient. Service was marvelous. Hurrah for a lovely starry night.

"Surprise!"
Somehow we ended up with a fancy cabin. A big window looked out onto sea and clouds. Staff was polite and efficient, Food, fabulous. A treat of a voyage. Many thanks Ann Loux
"I'm awesome 666"
The trip was ok, pricing is fair, just like direct from Tallink website. The room was in fine condition, shower, wc, 4 beds. Nothing else to say actually other than I'm the BAUS.
"amazing experience"
big and clean cabins, great services on board: children area, good restaurants with interesting entertainment for the evening. Amazing viewing during the crossing. You will fell like in a mini cruise.
"all good"
all good, clean ship, excellent service, nice staff
"Baltic journey"
The overnight ferry was a good way to travel from Mariehamn (Aland Islands) to Tallinn. Unfortunately, the ferry leaves at 1:00 am, so there is a long wait at the dock before boarding. The cabin on an upper deck was comfortable and we got a decent sleep, as well as breakfast the next morning. I definitely suggest a cabin on an upper deck. Many of the people who use these ferries drink too excess and stay up late. They can be obnoxious and loud. Personally have no interest in the so-called amenities - movies, casinos, etc., but that is clearly a bigger part of the ferry "business" than transport.
"breakfast on board"
all good, great enetrtainment for the evening. But considering the expensive ticket they should at least offer the breakfast
"Tallinn to Stockholm on Victoria I"
It was our first time with Tallink Silja and we sailed on the Victoria I. The Cabin was compact yet nicely designed and decorated. Bed was confortable and a good night sleep was had by us both. Staff were very accommodating and we generally enjoyed the 17hrs on board Victoria I. The ship had more than adequate facilities to entertain passengers.
"Ship Good, Direct Ferry Lousy"
I got to the ship harbor in Tallinn and they had no record of me or of any payment to Direct Ferries. I had to pay again to get my rooms. Buy this time the choices were more limited. The ferry itself was a delight.
"BOOKINGsystem in Directferries"
The booking system is not a good one. We booked for 2 motorcycles and 2 drivers. When we received the ticket it showed just 1 motorcycle. Second driver had to buy an extra ticket to board the ferry. He can ask the company for reimbursement. That should be unnecessary and is a nuisance.
"excellent trip"
very beautiful ship, big cabin, good food and amazing entertainment in the evening
"first experience "
it was the first time for us - we expected an old wrack of a ferry - but we have been surprised - the room was nice - the shower working well - and the entertainment all very good.....
"Nice trip to Estonia"
Pleasant sailing in a wonderful ship.
"Enjoyable Mini-Cruise"
Our party of three thoroughly enjoyed the overnight trip from Tallinn to Stockholm which to us was more on the line of a short cruise. The cabin was clean and comfortable and even had an effective shower, the ship glided silently and smoothly and allowed us to arrive refreshed after a good nights sleep. Restaurants of all types were there to satisfy all tastes from fast food to elegant dining. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and we were able to follow the unfolding scene of islands as we approached Stockholm. Altogether a great experience.
"Rethink all the costs"
It would be good to include a light meal for people who book a cabin. Moreover, we should be able to pay for what we want at the self service restaurant and not 31€ and be able to eat when we want. Not everyone can afford to spend that much money. For a family with 4 people, it’s €31 x 4 = €124... The journey costs €205, it’s a lot in time of crisis...
"A great ship"
I was pleasantly surprised by this experience. The standard of the ship, especially the food, was extraordinary!
"A great trip"
I did enjoy the trip. Your ship the food and the staff were great. I did send an email to you the day after we left the ship enquiring if someone might have found my lost MasterCard. I might have left it in the Piazza restaurant. Please let me know one way or the other.
"Ferry trip to tallinn"
A most pleasant trouble free experience would recommend this ferry trip to everyone it was a most relaxing and enjoyable evening.
"Really good atmosphere, great night all round!"
Great atmosphere from the word go (Brazilian themed), no matter where you were there was always entertainment. The supermarket could do with more 'actual' food instead of just sweets. But besides that i would recommend this ship to anyone, great night thanks so much!
"Efficient option for getting to Tallinn"
The Victoria I offered a good way to get to Tallinn from Stockholm. In leaving Stockholm at 5:45 pm, you could enjoy the Stockholm Archipeligo before sunset. Our room was clean, and we had a deluxe suite at the front of the ship, for good views. We ate at the Ala Carte restaurant (it was fine); and we did the breakfast buffet in the morning (average food quality).
"Perfect trip "
Perfect trip in an enormous ship. It looked more like a cruise than a ferry.
"Stockholm to Riga"
We were pleasantly surprised at the comfort of the rooms on board and had the best meal in the Piazza (think that was what it was called) a la carte restaurant. Great food. Great service. Thanks Tallink.
"Very satisfied! "
Our crossing on the Victoria I was very comfortable, the cabin clean and we had even though we had booked two seats in a 4-cabin, a spacious 2-cabin for us. On board there were numerous possibilities to cater for yourself and to be entertained. All in all we are very satisfied, the 17-hours travel time was entertaining and relaxed.
"Everything as expected"
The service corresponded to what promised. Good value for money.
"An Enjoyable trip"
The cabin was very comfortable and the bathroom was easy to use and keep clean. The food was good and we were able to drive on and off easily. I would travel with you again.
"A beautiful crossing"
The terminal and the boat were easy to find. The reception on board was good with bars and animations. The evening buffet is a bit pricey (30 euros), but it offers a vast choice. Amazing crossing of the Stockholm archipelago in the sunset.
"Great trip"
This boat isn't as well stocked as the Stockholm - Helsinki ferry, but was still lots of fun. One negative point is that when we asked for a table for dinner, we were told to come back in 3 hours, despite the restaurant remaining mostly empty the entire time! This was minor, and the journey was a lot of fun.
"Very pleasant"
Very nice overnight journey. Perfectly on time, good food, pleasant.
"Kudos for a lot of imagination and attention "
The crossing from Tallinn to Stockholm, we had booked because of the beautiful landscape. The more we were amazed with how much attention to detail the passengers were welcomed on board. There was something for every an attractive entertainment program at the highest level. Since I have the operator of the ship really commend them for the effort they have given it. Night has indeed leave us an additional ship engine suddenly fall out of bed, but the will have been heard not anywhere as loud as the front of the bow of the ship. Us the crossing has remained as a very special experience in memory. Therefore, a heartfelt thanks to all those who have given up with the design of the time on board so hard.
"Ok journey"
We traveled with our two children of 10 and 12 years old. We all enjoyed both breakfasts and dinners on board and tax free shopping was all right. The quality of the TV image was not the best and some of the crew had poor English knowledge. However, so much can be fixed with sign language and by smiling and trying to understand...... By all means go to Estonia by ferry. Estonia is a magnificent country.
"Perfect journey"
We were 3 adults and 3 infants. Everything went perfectly. We had booked 2-4 berth cabins and they were very nice, clean and spacious.
"From Australia to Tallinn"
We caught the ferry from Helsinki to Stockholm and from Stockholm to Tallinn. The experience was truly memorable. Not only was the food and service the best we've seen in any part of the World but the crew were friendly and obliging without being obsequious in any way. We shall have many favourable memories to bring back with us to Australia.
"Satisfied customer!"
With some good friends, i travelled to Tallinn on the ferry Victoria (week 38, 2012). We were very pleased with the journey and we would love to travel with Victoria again. The crew at La Pizza were really nice with good service! Highly recommend.
"Great trip to Tallinn"
We had a great experience onboard the Victoria. Check-in very fast, deluxe cabin was spacious and clean with mini bar, including fruit and drinks, duty free shops, small casino, bars, pubs and evening entertainment so we didn’t get bored! The buffet offers a large selection from appetizers to desserts. All very good. Drinks are not included. With the deluxe cabin we had a special breakfast at the restaurant instead of the regular buffet. We boarded at 17.45 and arrived in Tallinn at 10.00. We had free time until 17.30 for exploring this amazing town and then we boarded again at 18.00. We arrived in Stockholm at 10.00 on the third day. I highly recommend this crossing. If I had the chance to repeat this experience I would book a buffet dinner (worth it) and a dinner at the restaurant too.
