"Great deal! Perfect for family or couple."
Really nice food at Bonvivant, with perfect serving crew who goes the extra mile for us. Absolutely love the duty free shopping too, it has an extensive range of cosmetics, skincare, whisky, sweets.
"Imagine of Journey "
A trip I dreamed of for a long time and now it's come true. A large ship with complete facilities and adequate prices and a friendly and helpful crew. Thank you
"Loved it"

"Ship to Helsinki"
Everything explendid. Only a bad point no WI-fi in the cabin, very disappointed with this because we don't have a tv or internet anything
"Must try it!"
Exceeded my expectations, good value for money 👍🏻
"Journey Stockholm - Helsinki - Stockholm from June 27th. and return on July 28.th"
According to our booking and successive confirmation by Directferries the return trip was due on July 28, but as we checked at the Silja Line/Tallink counter it has been booked for June 28! Therefore we had to buy a new ticket for the requested date. We have sent an email (16.7.2019, 10.48 time of Finland) to Directferries requesting an explanation about the mishap but never received an answer so far. We consider this behavior as very unkind and unprofessional from the part of Directferries and will never book again a trip through their site. Also we will suggest through facebook and other social media to never make use of this site for their future trips
"Fun new experience "
This was the longest boat trip on the biggest ship we have ever taken so were not sure what to expect. Booking was easy online from the UK, check in was quick and we were welcomed aboard and directed to our cabin. We did not book evening meal, but there were several other restaurants and cafes to choose from. The buffet breakfast which we did book was great - loads of choice, plenty of food and tea/coffee brought to the table. Our cabin (cheapest option) was below the car decks, so when the boat stopped briefly mid-cruise we heard the engines, but it was comfortable, clean, temperate and well-provisioned (sockets, lamps, towels, hairdryer, shower gel). We did not feel any rocking of the ship. Beds were comfy and the shower excellent. There were many lifts all in good working order. Inside seating areas were a bit limited unless you were in a bar or restaurant. There was a play area on the deck also with games for older children & even a spa bar with jacuzzis (at extra cost) . If you take your dog there is a toilet area for them on deck. Even though the ship was pretty full, it was never too crowded in any area. There are duty free shops on board. We were impressed!
"Really good traveling with you"
Excellent service, professional friendly personal, comfortable restaurant, bar and bed. Beautiful spa service. Very nice view and really quiet traveling. The best bent music.
"Nice "
Was nice. Drain blocked in 2054 so when had a shower it went into the bathroom floor. But not to big of a deal I still had a shower.
"An enjoyable "mini-cruise""
We enjoyed a return trip Helsinki-Stockholm on the Silja Symphony. Our 2-berth cabin was comfortable and very clean. The choice of bars, cafes and restaurants was good. We had well-prepared and good quality dinners in The Happy Lobster and in Mondo and the wine choices were good. Overall the crossing in each direction was very good, thank you to the crew.
"Ferry trip Helsinki to Stockholm "
Travel arrangements were easy before hand and the Olympia ferry terminal in Helsinki is convenient. The ship was enormous much larger than expected -a cruise ship. This was an unpleasant surprise for UK travellers expecting a traditional ferry. We found the excessively commercial nature of the ship and it’s huge size distasteful. However the cabin was clean and comfortable. The ship was timely. The ferry terminal in Stockholm is some miles out of the city and it is a bit of a slog to the metro with cases. The arrival time of 9.30 am means that those waiting to get into Stockholm accommodation have a weary time with their luggage in the city centre. The views from the ship were good ,I would not travel on this type of ship again. To be fair I believe that the other ferry lines doing this crossing have similar ships.
" Broken glass in bed!"
Our trip was OK except my daughter woke up bleeding from her back and arm as there were some pieces of broken glass in her freshly made bunk bed.
"One of the best ferries "
Serenade and Galaxy are highly recommended
"We loved it"
My wife and I enjoyed the cruise.Perfect
"Great, comfortable ride"
I was travelling solo and had a lovely comfortable cabin to myself. Everything was great apart from the WiFi - only available in the shopping/restaurant part of the ship and even there it didn't work well at all.
"Very pleasant voyage"
Picturesque crossing and good cabin even though in the hold!!
"Great way to travel from Stockholm to Helsinki"
The trip was seamless, from gathering my ticket in the entrance hall to finding my cabin and deboarding the ship. It was a great way to relax as well. I enjoyed this spa (you can rent a bathing suit for 4 euro) and the restaurant options. My cabin was clean and comfortable. There were lots of options for entertainment, though mine only included a glass of wine and a book. I would definitely recommend this travel option from Stockholm to Helsinki.
"nice way to travel abroad"
This ship was a nice way to get to Stockholm. It was more relaxing than flying, with all the things you can do on the ship. The shows are professional, there is not a dull moment. The rooms are small but convinient.
"Below the car decks"
'Symphony' is a massive ship - big promenade deck with shops, restaurants, entertainment, etc. Good for families and shoppers. We ate at the Grand Buffet - quite pricey, but loads of food choice and wine, beer, hot and cold drinks are included. We started about an hour after the buffet opened, so felt a bit rushed, but that was our fault - we'll know if we do it again. On this ferry trip our cabin was below the car decks - very cheap option, but cramped and noisy with lots of movement, so very little sleep. We later travelled from Stockholm to Tallinn with Silja line and our cabin experience on one of the higher decks was much better although considerably more expensive. The lower deck cabins may be ok if you're looking for a cheap option and are prepared for no sleep.
"A Voyage to discovery"
We you enter deck 7, you are quickly amazed at what you see, mulling around on just over 700' and happy shoppers, happy eaters, and more important happy CHILDREN. The sailing certainly caterers for all sorts of people young and old. Plenty places to have a drink and a meal but I feel the GRAND BUFFET downstairs is a bit pricey, but GREAT for breakfast. Please choose your cabin carefully as a window (porthole) is a MUST. Let me repeat it MUST have a window, got that, Great! Relax and unwind, did I mention the fantastic scenery and both ends. Passing by the fortress in Helsinki (you can almost touch the battlements) are amazing; so come on board and enjoy a treat for all you senses.
"Great trip"
Everything was great...such as foods rooms good service and very comfortable. Highly recommended!!
"Work trip"
Reading journey and good food

"Worth to travel by ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki"
Once in a lifetime to travel with a very good qualified ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki. Let's sail. It was a wonderful time to enjoy every moment on this ferry. Let's join!
"i don't like your change of price on internet"
On internet i find one price but when i pay the price change, i don't like this.
"Great staff! Clean beds! Great facilities!"
Nice staff. Good free WiFi. Good entertainment and music!! Well worth it!! AAAAA+++++
"Good Trip"
Very good transportation from Helsinki to Stockholm. Relax, comfortable and good price. So enjoy shopping on the ship.
"Good value, decent cabin."
Booked a cheap crossing between Stockholm and Helsinki and down on level two but really nice cabin, bunks for two, comfortable and roomy. En-suite shower room and toilet. Small sitting area. Great deals in the duty free shops and very enjoyable free show. Nice cocktails in the bar with great views.
"Going home"
After the holidays we had to go home again. We chose to go by car so a crossing on a ferryboat was inevitable. We boarded in Helsinki on the Silja Symphony. A huge boat. Because the crossing took 17 hours we hooked a cabin to sleep as well. Although below the cardeck the noise was not to bad. The Beds were great and a privat bathroom made it even better. I can recommend this to anyone.
"Overnight from Helsinki to Stockholm"
Larger cabin than we expected, comfortable beds, decent sized shower. Food was excellent - we will definitely do this again!
"worked great for us"
For a family of six with small children, the ferry was a great fit. Buffet prices were very high, but the duty-free store was very reasonable. We got by on snacks because we had dinner before departure from Helsinki. The experience, overall, was great for us. The family cabin, with foldout sofa and fold down bunks worked great. The kids enjoyed the onboard entertainment and a stroll around the top deck. I would recommend the ferry to anyone making a trip around the Baltic instead of a cruise liner experience.
"Great trip"
I sailed from Stockholm to Helsinki last week. We were very lucky with the weather which was hot and sunny. Our cabin was small for 3 but the beds were comfortable and the shower was hot and plentiful. We opted for the buffet dinner which was amazing- so much choice and with wine included, really good value. The shops on board were cheaper than shore prices so stock up while on board. Highly recommended.
"A great trip!"
We were pleasantly surprised by the range of facilities and level of comfort, especially compared with our last trip several years ago. We would recommend the ship to anyone.
"Stockholm to Helsinki"
Large spacious, more like a cruise ship than a ferry with a large top to bottom atrium along the central space with shops and entertainment. Room was small was totally comfortable and well appointed.
"Party Ferry"
Excellent overnight trip. The ship has all sorts of facilities, too many to use on a one night journey. We had the cheap tickets it seems so were down on the bottom deck with all the young people taking advantage of the duty free booze. It was great to see them having such a good time. Wish I knew about this ferry 20 years ago.
"crossing = mini cruise"
great trip, good services and restaurants. Big and clean cabin
"Silja Serenade/ Symphony"
A very pleasent trip on Silja Serenade and Silja Symphonie! Entertainment, shopping and food. Pleased with everything!
"Pleasant crossing"
We thought it a well-organized trip with the camper. A standard class cabin was booked and it looked amazing. Everything in there was aanwezig. Next time we will opt for a cabin on an upper deck (for a better feeling). We couldn’t believe how beautiful everything was; shops, different bars, variety of food, tax-free shopping (unprofitable for Dutch passangiers), Karaoke, performances, casino etc. The staff was friendly and helpful, the ship left and arrived on time and we sailed for at least 3 hours along the islands before we reached the open sea; Amazing!! After all that, we enjoyed a quiet evening/night in our cabin.
"St.Hel."
Det was very good.
"happy trip"
happy trip with a lot of entertainment
"Best Ferry Crossing ever"
This was not just a ferry crossing, this was a cruise crossing with every available service on board. Luxury after some of the ferry crossings that we have done across from England to Holland, Bari to Dubrovnik (horrendous) Kristiansand to Hirtshals, Dublin to Holyhead etc so we have experienced a few. Would definately recommend this one. Only thing is book well in advance so you don't get below the car deck - makes an awful noise when docking.
"Nicest sea voyage in Nordic countries?"
Wonderful sailing through an amazing archipeligo - both through Sweden and Denmark.
"Silja Symphony"
Everything was good, but the next time we will not be travelling unspecified as this increases ones chances of ending up in a rowdy cabin.
"Loved the Tallink Silja !!"
Everything about this trip was excellent. The staff were lovely, the facilities were excellent,my grandchildren loved all the onboard entertainment and I would recommend 100% !! We travelled from Helsinki to Stockholm and back-no complaints at all and would love to do this again-just loved it !! Incredible to believe this ship is called a ferry as more like an ocean liner.
"Baltic ferries for transportation "
In general, all the best. If, however, a simpler accommodation, food etc. prefers, because I chose to train & ferry as an alternative to air to travel climate-friendly. The built-in 'luxury' was impressive, but does not interest me otherwise.
"very nice "
very nice trip
"Pretty good "
That is a nice experience and we really enjoy it.
"Okay. "
Everything okay.
"Experience with Tallink Silja"
We travelled twice with Tallinn Silja from Stockholm to Helsinki and return. It was a great experience, we would make this trip again, when we will have the opportunity, the staff were kind and helpful, we slept in a cheap but comfortable ensuite cabin, everything was tidy and clean at very convenient price.. we were satisfied.
"All ok - but ... "
The fact that we had chosen just the school holidays in Finland was our mistake. Thus, the ferry was full, especially families with children. That did not bother us. What we have to complain that it previously was only possible to reserve a place in the "à la carte" restaurant "Bon Vivant" for my wife and me? On board there were then some more than enough room for both of us. The quality of the food was good - very good, unfortunately still true value for money match in any way. What a shame. Pity was that there were too few places for breakfast. All "à la carte" have been booked for the buffet and you would have to queue for too long. My criticism is asking that those responsible so knew that the ship is fully booked, but in my opinion had not taken the appropriate measures to deal with the onslaught. As I said - too bad. We will take the next time Viking Line.
"crossing Helsinki- Stockholm"
in my recent trip from Helsinki to Stockholm, I took the Silla Symphony, it was really comfortable and funny, there were a lot of entertaining opportunities on board. The ferry seems to be like a cruise ship, the cabin was absolutely perfect.
"RECOMMEND TO EVERYBODY"
I ENJOY ALL TRIP FROM STOCKHOLM TO HELSINKI. IT WAS VERY NICE EXPERIENCE.
"Trip Helsinki-Stockholm"
Excellent ship with great services. Staff on board very helpful.
"Awsome"
This ship was amazing. The room was clean and equipped. The prices for meal and drink were more affordable comparing other ship companies. Unforgettable trip!
"A nice discovery"
On top of the 'love boat' atmosphere, the staff were were very caring and helpful.
"Silja ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki"
Excellent value for money. Pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful landscapes.
"Stockholm-Helsinki"
A very pleasant crossing to do during the day from Stockholm as during the first hours the boat zigzag between the islands of the archipelago. Remember when booking that the type C cabins are under the cars deck and therefore do not have any porthole. Remember as well to check the restaurant opening times, as it closes early.
"STOCKHOLM HELSINKI"
A very pleasant crossing to do during the day from Stockholm as during the first hours the boat zigzag between the islands of the archipelago. Remember when booking that the type C cabins are under the cars deck and therefore do not have any porthole. Remember as well to check the restaurant opening times, as it closes early.
"Helsinki-Stockholm-Helsinki, Tallink-Silja, Silja Serenade"
One of the finest ferries in the Baltic Sea. Price category allowed only the low cost cabin below the car decks, but they are still clean and fine for sleeping.
"Not Bad"
The boat left an hour late, but that was not a problem for me. The service at the Happy Lobster was very slow (surprisingly slow), but the food was good. I enjoyed hanging out at the pub and the solo guitarist was good. I would ride with them again, but only if I get another sale ticket.
"Nice ferry trip"
The whole journey went so good and we are so pleased. But what I want to point at is that on the booking confirmation it didn't stand which bay the ferry departured from. This put us in a unecessary problems and driving from Helsinki.
"Helsinki to Stockholm"
Lovely trip, lovely cabin but ridiculously extortionate price of food and drink on board. Not a trip for people on a budget (even the supposed budget options were exorbitant).
"Fun on the sea"
Lovely journey and lots of fun on board. The economy cabin was quite OK and comfortable enough for your needs. Impressed by the standard of the food. The duty free section is a delight! We had a really nice time.
"Bathroom"
It's good overall. However, the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly for my inbound trip. Someone apparently bled heavily in it. There were a lot of blood stains on the floor and in the sink, etc.
"My first trip to Finland by car"
When coming from the Netherlands and you have left the misery of the German motorways behind you will have a beautiful journey ahead of you. After which you can rest and enjoy the facilities aboard the Silja Line boat, Serenade, from Stockholm. In calm weather the journey is hardly noticeable. Only when there's a nightly stop-over there's a chance of being awoken. Generally it's a pleasant journey, nice food, a selection of different restaurants, shops, swimming pool, ect. However, when one is disabled or elderly E class is not ideal because of the bunk beds. All in all highly recommended nonetheless.
"Mariehamn to Stoclholm"
This is a great way to travel; comfortable and relatively inexpensive.
"My own experience"
I thought my overall experience was very good, i look forward to travelling again.
"Perfect"
Perfect crossing cant complain at all, staff I have to say were exemplary.
"Fabulous Trip Stunning Scenery"
What an absolutely wonderful way to travel, the scenery along the route was stunning. Good clean ferry and lots to do for all.
"Staying on the Silja Symphony (Stockholm - Helsinki)"
We were two, we paid for the trip a little more than 150,00 EUR, so we didn’t expected so much from the cabin. Thus, very small cabin, bunk bed and small spaces. However, more than enough to stay there one night. Bathroom clean and complete with everything, including towels. In contrast, the ship is quite large and on board there is everything you need: four restaurants, a great pub with an excellent choice of beers on tap and in bottles and, for those lover, a mini disco, a casino and a spa.
"Cruise ferry crossing"
I was positively surprised about the Vessel, the furnishings and the entertainment on board!
"Helsinki from Stockholm"
It was a really nice experience. What we liked the most were the views from the ferry, in both ways. We had a little problem because I printed the tickets in Spanish and they thought we’d only booked one way! Fortunately somebody had a close look at it and we solved it! It was a great experience on the whole. I highly recommend it.
"Amazing time!"
The food was great, the entertainment was amazing, and the service was wonderful. My only complaint was that the cabins were a bit on the small side. Would definitely do this trip again.
"My first crossing"
I had been staying with friends near Helsinki who suggested going to Stockholm and staying on board the Symphony as it would be a wonderful experience. Wow! She was so spot on and on boarding I was staring open mouthed most of the time at the sheer grandure of this spectactular vessel. The cabin was great, simple but had everything we needed and the food and entertainment were great. I dont think I've ever eaten so much or enjoyed singing kareaoke so much either. I must admit I didn't get a lot of sleep but it is and experience I will never forget.
"Hi from France"
I travelled on board the Symphony several times, everything is perfect on this beautiful ferry, many shops with professional and extremely kind staff, entertainment is high quality, cabins are very clean and well-appointed (mirrors, electrical outlets properly located, storage, very functional lighting). Everything is done to satisfy the customer and I wish to travel on board again soon. Thanks!
"Superb!"
My friend and I travelled from Helsinki to Stockholm on the Symphony and from the moment we walked onto the gang plank it felt like more of a cruise, than a ferry crossing! From the massive themed atrium full of shops and "street" entertainment such as singers and jugglers, to the glass lifts which take you to your decks - it was very impressive. As cabins go they were pretty standard, had everything needed for an overnight trip and were comfortable with en-suite facilities. The staff were extremely friendly especially in the bars, they would engage you in banter whilst you waited for drinks. The buffet restaurant was amazing, had every type of food you could think of from salads, to curries to chicken fajitas and nachos! Even better than the food choice was that beer and wine was included, and was self-service! After dinner and a few cocktails in one of the bars, we went to watch the midnight show - which was fabulous, and thoroughly engaging. The disco bar goes on until dawn, where the youngster’s party continue their party! The ship was first class, had excellent facilities and I would not hesitate to travel again if I was ever back in Helsinki or Stockholm.
