  • "Good...except the end"

It was so nice to be able to print the tickets in advance, avoiding the hassle of showing our reservation to a ticket agent to obtain a boarding pass. Take notice Liberty and ANEK! Our ship was the M\V Corfù. Take a cab to the terminal. It's buried, even our native Sicilian taxi driver needed directions. Ferry companies: publish the precise latitude and longitude of your terminals. (Then we can cut and paste that into Google maps. How hard can that be?) Boarding in Palermo was easy, cabin assignment was fast and we didn't have to endure a porter to show us the obvious cabin location. The cabin was excellent, clean and roomy. Good, hot shower. No plumbing odors, somewhat common in ferries. Room temperature was good, not too cold as is common. Announcements were insanity-level loud, next time I'll duct-tape a towel over the room speaker.  Food and beverages are good, not overpriced.  Not much space on the deck, no chairs to move around, but good enough I suppose.  Disembarking is awful. They (loudly!) announce that you have to leave the cabin an hour before arrival. Unmasked passengers congregated in the lounge areas. Ventilation is inadequate to prevent Covid transmission.  Upon leaving the ship they made us get on a bus to travel less than a km. It was packed with unmasked passengers and unventilated. This was a major safety hazard.  Overall, comparatively, a good ferry trip, good value. I wish these companies could fix the minor problems. It's amazing they tolerate them.

  • "Pleasantly surprised "

Grimaldi Lines were very good. We booked an overnight cabin and it was surprisingly very good, peaceful, clean and comfortable for a passenger ferry.
