Situated on the north west coast of the Peloponnese, Patras is the capital of western Greece and with its major ferry port provides the primary gateway for connecting Greece with Italy and Western Europe. Patras consists of a passenger ferry port for handling sea traffic between Greece and other countries and also a commercial port. Patras passenger ferry terminal is a modern facility of around 3000 m2 and features passenger lounges, a bar, various stores, the Duty Free stores and shipping agents.
