"Chaos, and bad information"
15th of July was a special day for Direct Ferries with the worst stormy weather since ever. BUT, that does not negatevthat they should be friendly, answer polite, inform in due time and make an effort to bring passengers onboard. THEY HAVE TO LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH or at least have ONE English speaking person responsible for embarking. The crew onboard was polite and fine but the embarking crew was a disaster, rude, unfriendly and hostile. If the stars below are for the ship its 4 or 5 stars all the way, but the embarking crew gets NO STARS.A

We had a smooth crossing of four hours, the boat departed and arrived as scheduled, boarding went smoothly, helping us to ride on board without damage because we have a sports car, very service oriented. The ships are also good, we spent the outbound on relaxing beach chairs in the shade on the deck, On the way back, we stayed in the bar in the lounge chairs. Completely fine and not expensive.

It takes a ridiculously long time to drive on the ferry and almost an hour before you get off. Very inefficient. It's extra annoying when the ferry is also 30 min late. Apart from that it's nice on the boat, good opportunities to eat and to sit down outside.

I made a crossing from Golfo Aranci to Livorno with directferries. The booking was quick, easy and cheap. It’s a pity that we don’t get the tickets directly, but that we need to collect them at the porte. In some cases, this can cause an inconvenience.

Departure time poor, ferry was old and needs replacing, there were not much in the way of entertainment.. The return journey was a nightmare, the ship was five hours late, so we have been waiting in the parking area for four hours so please choose Moby or something else

I've been travelling by ferry for years, but, this year I was a little bit disappointed. I can understand that the staff work hard, but a part from the sheets which were clean, the rest wasn't so, the other negative aspect was the staff at the bar they were impolite.. I recommend the ferries anyway because they are punctual and cheap in compare with the other companies.. and they allow pets to be free to walk around..

I've never made a journey as bad as this year, the fact that they allow the pets to be on board of the ferry , it makes the journey very uncomfortable for the other passengers, and plus the animals have made the ferry very dirty and smelly.

My review on the ferry service from and to Sardinia on the 16/07 and 01/08 2013 is the following: - very good onboard services - on the outbound we even had a small swimming pool - Nice quality for bar and restaurant - Clean toilets, especially on the return - the only negative aspect is that on both journeys the ferry was late and they should organise better the boarding and disembark operations.

Nothing to complain about Mega express three, we had a overnight crossing in perfect conditions, but in the return journey we had another ferry , I have to say that this other one wasn't that good as the previous one. The ferry was too small, and the bar was too expensive and also the we have arrived two hours later. however the staff were friendlt.

"A nightmare trip on SARDINIA VERA"
On the outbound trip we travelled on seats. We never had such a terrible trip. The seats were very uncomfortable, in fact many passengers had to lie on the floor to rest a bit. The TV was kept a medium/high volume till midnight. Basically, we weren't able to sleep and in the morning our back was aching. I travelled on buses and I can guarantee that the reclining seats were more comfortable. i won't travel again in this conditions!!! We had dinner in the self service restaurant and we were disappointed!!
"Perfect trip"
We really enjoyed the trip with Sardinia Ferries. We travelled at night, but didn't book a cabin, just seats, but these were really comfortable for sleeping as well. Because of the air conditioning there need to have sleeping bags!! The crew was really nice and helpful, and the prices weren't high as we thought before the trip. It was a big experience for us and I can recommend everybody travelling with Sardinia ferries!

Sunset over sardegna from the deck chairs on the upper deck - wonderful. Attempting to sleep reclining chairs not the most comfortable, ended up throwing a mat on the floor and sleeping there. Why did I have to pay £7 extra for that seat again? Otherwise, nice ship and amenities.

Good Morning, We had a very good journey from Livorno to Golfo Aranci, the staff was really professional, we have spent the night on the armchairs, they weren't so comfortable, however, we would would love to make this trip again.

The ferry left right on time and provided a smooth and pleasant trip from Livorno port to Bastia. We also enjoyed the available breakfast food.

The staff is nice and competent. There is no map of the area we are crossing. A TV linked to a GPS could show us the journey.

Advantage to Olbia: Smaller place, smaller port. You can still enjoy a meal at the pizzeria overlooking the ship or drink in the bar a cold cola before departure. Ship was very punctual.

We had a very pleasant voyage to Bastia. The staff were friendly and good humoured and the food excelent from the self service canteen. The only iffy thing was the lack of signposting for foot passengers in Livorno.

Good experience. Due to the bad weather condition, we “danced” a little bit, maybe because the ship wasn’t very big. We arrived late, but the captain apologised. We appreciated the fast loading and unloading procedures, we received a good services, staff really professional.

Travel to the limits of decency. Cabins unwelcoming, without a chair, dirty carpet, poor towels. I will not repeat this experience with this ferry company. Staff were friendly and polite, the only positive note of the trip. Mid-level restaurant.
"Somebody to clean the toilets"
We travelled from Livorno to Sardinia and had one hour delay, that wasn’t so bad. What was bad was the state of the toilets. During the 7 hour trip I couldn’t find a single clean toilet. Obviously passengers cause this mess, I wonder if they do the same at home. There should be someone in the toilets in charge of keeping them clean. The ticket cost enough money so I think you should expect a clean toilet. The crew were generally nice.
"Crossing like being on a cruise in the Mediterranean"
The ship may be old, but she is well kept, so it feels like a brand new one. The cabins are even more luxurious than a hotel room, and the crew members are always available. I will always stay true to Corsica Ferries.

Went on the Sardinia Vera ferry to Corsica (via Bastia). Functional, and had everything onboard that i could have asked for but wasn't blown away. Went on the Mega Express 2 on the way back which was much better!
