Constructed in 2001, the Mega Express Three ferry can carry up to 2100 passengers and 650 vehicles. The ship has all the amenities you’d expect of a ferry of this stature including a large selection of cabin accommodation, reclinable seats, shops, a la carte and self-service restaurants, 3 bars, a swimming pool, solarium, games room and children’s play area.
Mega Express III has around 370 en-suite cabins (approximately 1425 beds) and a reserved seating lounge with reclining seats to accommodate up to 430 passengers.

Good trip, the crossing went really well, clean ship, punctual, nice and helpful crew. Not really pleasant the landing procedure where people are in rush to leave and from the back of the ship they turn on the motor of the car intoxicating everyone. And in the reserved seats area is always full of people without reservation, they take seat and make noise, day and night. All the rest ok, others companies are worse.

Time on board went really fast, it was during the day, so I walked, had a coffee, had lunch, dinner. Punctual and beautiful ship, nice and helpful staff. POSITIVE experience. PS. People laying on stairs or in the corridors are really rude, there is no need to do that when there are free space where to seat on board.

"Excellent ferry service to Sardinia"
This ferry is of a very high standard. It is comfortable, bright, airy, with a choice of different restaurants. There is a kids play area and if you want to relax there is an area where you can pay for reclining seats in a spacious and comfortable area. Best to prepay for these especially at busy periods. It is well worth the 11 euros to have a comfortable seat and somewhere you can sleep if you want to on the 6 hour journey. You can buy them at the reception on board if there are any still available. There are also cabins available, although we didn't try these, but they looked very good too.

The only inconvenient is the delay at the opening of the garage doors. The request to go to the garage is very early. It may be useful (like it was in the past) that only the drivers enter inside the garages. The rest was fine.

We enjoyed beautiful weather on our return journey and very calm crossings both ways. The ferry was wonderful. We were upgraded without asking on our return to cabin with porthole.En suite was excellent. It was a very enjoyable experience and I would recommend without hesitation. WIll definitely do the same booking next time.

The boats were clean, the staff was nice (although the staff at boarding is a bit stressed out), the journey was beautiful with a swimming pool - the children were looking happy.

The crossing with DirectFerries to Corsica in itself was pleasant. There are some great facilities on board and the cabin is well equipped for a good night's rest. But what was a pity in our case is that the return journey was rerouted to Bastia. We were supposed to depart from Ajaccio to go to Toulon but received a phone call the day before and were told that our original service was cancelled and had to go to Bastia to board a ferry there. This meant we had to cross the entire island, which incurred additional time/costs/fuel. Unfortunately DiretFerries has to this day not offered any compensation. It was also very inconvenient that local port personell spoke none or hardly any English, although lots of foreign tourists use this ferry service.

We boarded in Livorno on Tuessday morning. The vehicles were parked in the opposite direction to disembarkment. It means that it was total chaos at the arrival in Corsica and that we had to wait 45 minutes to disembark. In Corsica, however, it was very well organised. We arrived on time and the disembarkment took 10 minutes.

No problem collecting tickets at check in. Quick loading time too and same for disembarkation. The ferry was clean, prices in the restaurant reasonable and staff always available and willing to help. For night sailings better to get a cabin that a Pullman seat as its not too comfortable. We will use Direct Ferries again for our next Corsica Ferries crossing.

Everything easy. On arrival at Ajaccio the announcements were sometimes difficult to understand. It is advisable to listen carefully and really only then go to the car when you are prompted to do so. No area without dogs barking. on all decks, in the catering areas there was barking dogs and dogs´pooh. Ferry is not recommended Urgently needed are areas where dogs are excluded. The only positive point: restaurant (not self-service) is clean Food good, staff friendly, but the opening times too short.

We went at low season overnight and have used a cab. The ferry had good availability on deck (also chairs / tables / sun loungers). Below decks we have in addition to the bars and restaurants found no general stay options, for example for playing cards, as is sometimes present on other ferries. It would be nice with an information sheet, which options where possible on board is available. In the cabin, soap, shower room, towels were provided. Noticed is unpleasant us the strong vinegar smell of the towels.

Night ferry from Livorno to Golfo Aranci ferry was 1.5 hours too late There was overnight no meals on board and no drinking water at the point of application Livorno there was no infrastructure, no way to cater to any shop, toilets are filthy.. and dirty with feces. access to the application point is a disaster, poor / no signage. day-ferry of Golfo Aranchi to Livorno: Handling poorly organized, on arrival in Livorno the entrances were closed to the Pardecks, complete doors, so no access to the car possible. Loading and unloading the ferry therefore took a long time. The reclining seats on board are in poor condition (old, out to eat, dirty, partly broken) deck chairs on the upper deck are too few available and constantly occupied. Chairs are available too little, very much broken. dog-pooh and Dog Pee dirty the upper deck, dog owners do not seem to use the dog toilets. In addition to slot machines, no entertainment facility. (How about, for example, with a multilingual cinema?) Multilingualism would be appropriate anyway, at least decent English, as usual at sea.

Everything worked out wonderfully. Since the cabins were obviously overbooked, we were on our way back to our delight an upgrade and were very pleased with our cabin. The staff were generally very friendly and especially in the restaurant. The only thing that bothered us was that it was certainly prompted a half hour before arrival to leave the booked cabin and the luggage had to wait in the corridors.

Almost five years since i last went to Sardinia, and all the time and i was satisfied with the service on this ferry. If I can I would love to make a couple of suggestions though: 1) You are forced to vacate the cabin too early. 2)I think that would be fair that motorcyclists could get out of first, due to the fumes of the cars, trucks etc...

I've been travelling by ferry for years, but, this year I was a little bit disappointed. I can understand that the staff work hard, but a part from the sheets which were clean, the rest wasn't so, the other negative aspect was the staff at the bar they were impolite.. I recommend the ferries anyway because they are punctual and cheap in compare with the other companies.. and they allow pets to be free to walk around..

My first trip booked with direct ferries was really positive, the members of the staff were helpful and friendly, the ferry was clean a part from few exceptions, the ferry was not shaking and that allowed us to sleep quite good, the only negative aspect was the late departure... I recommend direct ferries, good value for money.

It was efficient. You can access your boat and your cabin with an internet booking number. It's fairly punctual. It's a bit pricey in high season, but it’s the same with all ferry companies.

I've travelled with Corsica Ferries, Mega Express Three ferry, with a night crossing on the outbound trip and day crossing on the return. During the night crossing we used a very comfortable cabin. This allowed to make the trip "shorter" because we woke up at destination. Trip very smooth, we didn't feel sea sick, despite being the first ferry trip. excellent entertainment with kids disco and outside cocktail bar. we had good fun. The return journey was also pleasant. it was a h6 crossing and my daughters didn't sleep at all because there was so much to do and see. The only flaw is that passengers are not allowed to seat or lie down where they wish and there are pets everywhere (not very hygienic). Each of us know their own pet, but not knowing all passengers on board we didn't know if they were all vaccinated. With the kids I would have prefer more caution.

I've been travelling to Sardinia since I was 4 because my father is from there and I saw a constant improvement regarding ferries. I just have 2 small complaints: firstly, it would be nice to see staff on board working with more enthusiasm, a smiley face encourage passengers to consume. The second thing is that I don't understand why the trip cost me nearly as much as the accommodation in Sardinia, perhaps if you offer better prices you will get more clients. PS: I booked in February when tickets were cheaper.

It is undoubtedly a long journey, but as ferries go this was easily tolerable, helped significantly by the weather & beautiful sea. The spagetteria was OK & the restaurant served very good pasta meals. Good VFM although obviously not cruise standard. The (Italian) staff did seem to have a tendency to be a bit grumpy, but the food made up for that!

"A nightmare trip on SARDINIA VERA"
On the outbound trip we travelled on seats. We never had such a terrible trip. The seats were very uncomfortable, in fact many passengers had to lie on the floor to rest a bit. The TV was kept a medium/high volume till midnight. Basically, we weren't able to sleep and in the morning our back was aching. I travelled on buses and I can guarantee that the reclining seats were more comfortable. i won't travel again in this conditions!!! We had dinner in the self service restaurant and we were disappointed!!

We really enjoyed the trip with Sardinia Ferries. We travelled at night, but didn't book a cabin, just seats, but these were really comfortable for sleeping as well. Because of the air conditioning there need to have sleeping bags!! The crew was really nice and helpful, and the prices weren't high as we thought before the trip. It was a big experience for us and I can recommend everybody travelling with Sardinia ferries!

The cabins are clean and comfortable, then the idea of music for the morning alarm clock its really nice. The staff are all very nice. I did not use the catering services, but only the bar and the prices are in line with the bars of a city. I had already travelled with them 2 years ago and I seem to improved.

driven for the first time with this ferry (motorcycle holiday in Sardinia) and were pleasantly surprised that everything went so perfect - from online booking to comply with the accurate application times; just a shame that we could pick up our tickets only at the port of departure - after payment would be a ticket printout (Mail / pdf file) have been desirable - this saves time getting to the port; small criticism: the ticket office in Livorno the port area is not easy to find - there might be better signs a good improvement; but all in all a great holiday - thanks also to the easy sailing!

The ships are very well equipped staff courteous and helpful, only drawback is that in return we made the crossing at night and the ferry arrived for boarding was more than 1 hour late.

Ship was on the way 1/2 hour late, on the way back 1.5 hours. Annoying if you still have a long journey home. The announcements are usually incomprehensible what leads to misunderstandings and blockages of the stairwells when leaving the ship. Otherwise everything was ok and we had a very enjoyable trip.

The ship made a clean and neat impression and the staff was competent. had a 4-inside cabin, it was clean and sufficient for a night. the departure and arrival times would have to be worked even better. We had on the way to 1 h and the return trip delay 2 hrs.

Hello, I went late May from Livorno to Golfo Arranci as a passenger without a vehicle and cabin and slept on deck. On the way to the port of Olbia Golfo Arrancih has changed. So I had my pickup spontaneously ordered to Olbia, which was not a problem, are only 20km. Good On the way back the weather and the start of Golfo Arranci. The yellow ferries with the head of the guy from sardinia are simply always beautiful.

I’ve been traveling for 3 years with Sardinia Ferries during the summer and winter. I like to travel with them, prices, treatment and facility on board are very well. The ships are very comfortable and stable even in rough seas. I live in Milan so I would be more comfortable to travel from Genoa but I prefer to travel with Sardinia Ferries, although the departure is from Livorno, for the reasons mentioned above. Sincerely.
