"Reliable prompt service"
Reliable prompt service. The only criticism would be that the restaurant service (not self service) was a muddle.
"Absolutely unsatisfied"
Absolutely unsatisfied. We called so many times Direct Ferries to change the departure date. No answer and we paid all the calls. . At the end we asked directly Corsica Ferries. Too long the landing and indecent toilets.
"Good trip"
Sailing on board of a ferry is just like a short cruise, very nice
""
This is already in English
"Good trip"
On time, well organised, avoided chaos from so many comings and goings
"Without problems"
Apart of a massive delayed for return trip the rest was fine.
"Livorno -Basta"
All ok
"Sheer Joy."
WE sailed with Corsica Sardinia Ferries from Bastia to Nice at the beginning of Oct. 2014. It's a five and a half hour trip and it has been our most enjoyable ferry trip ever.Calm seas, warm sunshine, sun deck and deckchairs and an enjoyable breakfast made the trip feel like a mini cruise. I have to admit that our main ferry journeys have all been on the Irish sea in recent years, but nonetheless I would like to applaud Corsica Sardinia Ferries.
"Nice to Ajaccio"
First of all the port of Nice:- There are two areas of the port where you can board the ferries, one on each side of the port or harbour, approx 20 mins walk from each other. There is a small mini bus that runs between each of them. However there does not appear to be any way on knowing, certainly not in English which side/office to go to. Other than that everything went very smoothly. The ferries:- All the 'Corsica Ferries' which we travelled with seem to be based in Genoa, so the crew is mostly Italian, which wasn't a problem, but a little unexpected. The ferries were well run and clean, with good food and helpful staff, would certainly recommend them if travelling from southern France to either Bastia or Ajaccio in Corsica.
"Bon Voyage"
Just completed 2nd vacation in Corsica after annual meetings in Monte Carlo. Last year booked ferry from Nice to Il Rousse, this year Nice to Bastia. Nice to Bastis is 2 hours longer trip and much larger fery with more accomodations in therms of cabins and food. Ferry departed and arrived on schedule. Boarding is always a bit chaotic with cars and trucks and motor bikes off boarding but everyone behaves with civility and the traffic officials kept things under control. Ferry staf handling boading process was excellent, very efficient, informative, courteous and helpful. we upgraded to a small cabin for additona 15 euros which was reasonable since it provided privacy, sleeping, showering and a porthole to see out and allow natural light to come in. It didn't make sense that you couldn't have access to the cabin till 30 minutes after departure ANS we were asked to leave the cabin 1 hour before arrival. The cabin cleaning staff were very rude when we interected with her. Food and wait staff were very good considering the fact that this is a ferry for transpotation and not meant to be a cruise. Many pets were on board which is fine and they seemed to have good accomodations for the animals. All things considered it was good value for the money and a pleasant trip. Hope to use Corsica Ferries for years to come.
"August / September 2014"
Both ways to and from Corsica were great. The crew really know how to load/unload the vehicles, which save you time and wandering around. Nice and clean cabins, arrival on time, very nice trip, indeed!
"Crossing from Bastia to Nice"
Very friendly staff. My daughter who was on crutches was immediately allowed to use the elevator and escorted upstairs by a crew member. Also, the food and the breakfast were delicious!!!! Shame there was no water in the pool. Very recommendable.
"Trip to Corsica"
Our journey to Corsica with this ferry was very good. We did not travel with car, so it was not easy to know where to board the ship as a foot passenger. This should have been signaled better.
"Fun alternative to flying "
I caught the 5 hour ferry from Nice to Corsica just to experience the trip. I didn't have a car on the ferry. I loved it. It was easy to do, and the ferry was fun. I paid a little extra for a reclining chair and was very pleased that I did. I was comfortable and the food that I purchased in the cafeteria was fine. It made a nice change from flying and I would definitely recommend it.
"Our Holiday trip to Corsica started in Nice"
We found the trip a little more exciting. Okay, we’ve travelled by boat to Texel in the past but this is different. Spending more than 6 hours on a boat is not nothing. There were plenty of beach chairs on the deck and when it got too hot, we went inside to one of the many lounges to watch a live World Cup game! It really felt like some kind Love boat. Very relaxed!
"Take the Corsica!"
I recommend this crossing with corsica ferries. Everything is clean. The boat, the cabins, the service.
"A CROSSING TO CORSICA"
A beautiful ferry, a welcoming staff, the inbound journey was punctual. The lack of consideration of some passengers who put their bags on the seats to prevent other people from seating is pityful. Pets should be in a cage and it should be forbiden to walk barefoot on the carpet. I'd like to thank the company again for this pleasant crossing.
"a beautiful crossing"
We enjoyed the crossing in spite of some swell
"A crossing between Nice and Bastia"
Very good overall, departure and arrival on time. The bar staff is neither very cheerful nor nice!
"A trip to Corsica"
We travelled during the day. It was a very good journey, we'll use Corsica Sardinia Ferries again. I just have a comment regarding the inbound ferry (the Mega Express Five I think). It's a shame that the restaurant is located at the centre of the boat without any sea view. However, you can see the sea from the cafeteria.
"Directferries ok"
We've been travelling regularly to Corsica for a long time, but it's the first time we booked through directferries. The service was good and the fare interesting. However, the prestation of Corsica Ferries are still really average (the toilets of the Mega Express Five were dirty, the food is expensive, there are not enough seats for everyone...)
"information"
there are not enough seat to rest during night crosings and not enough benches outside during the day. You also need to plan more space for people with mobility problems to be able to get down of their cars. Otherwise, it was a beautiful crossing.
"A pleasant crossing"
We made this crossing during the day. There are nice areas like the bar or the cafeteria. I would advise first timers to make a good note of their emplacement in the garage. We had a fright searching for our car. Our thanks to this company who thinks of everyone, included our pets.
"A return journey from Toulon to Ajaccio"
It's well organised. The loading of the vehicles is impressive and synchronised. The boats were confortable and luxurious. We appreciated the little samples, the bathroom, the bedding!! The only regret is that you cannot enjoy the sea. I would have like to have a walk on the external parts of the boat and enjoy the sea breeze... The fares are very random. We compared with several motobikers and noone had paid the same price?? Otherwise, we are satisfied with the service and really intend on renewing the experience.
"BASTIA/NICE crossing on 20.06.2014"
We discovered Corsica Sardinia Ferries and our crossing was very pleasant: solarium, accessible areas, Pullman seats, good stability of the Mega Express Five. Plus, the coffee was fairly priced. Keep going like that.
"Stress"
Our scheduled Nice Calvi crossing appeared to be cancelled. We arrived in Nice a day early to be sure we wouldn't miss our sailing. On May 7 we went to the check-in desk in Nice where we were told that the ferry wasn't going. The alternatives were to change the date or reroute to Toulon. We had one and a helf hour to drive from Nice to Toulon, via a toll road and by exceeding the speed limit several times we only just made it there in time. As a form of compensation I was given a discount coupon with a value of €15. The toll and extra fuel are already worth a multitude of that. What annoyed us most is that we hadn't been informed beforehand, via email or by phone. We could've booked a hotel in Toulon and saved ourselves a lot of stress and extra costs.
"a journey to Corsica"
the crossing was very pleasant, especially the return with a most recent boat.
"Really good"
After two journeys with SNCM during which I was told negative things about Corsica Ferries, I am delighted. The boat is really clean, the staff is friendly, unlike with SNCM.
"Crossing Toulon- Corsica v.v."
The crossing with DirectFerries to Corsica in itself was pleasant. There are some great facilities on board and the cabin is well equipped for a good night's rest. But what was a pity in our case is that the return journey was rerouted to Bastia. We were supposed to depart from Ajaccio to go to Toulon but received a phone call the day before and were told that our original service was cancelled and had to go to Bastia to board a ferry there. This meant we had to cross the entire island, which incurred additional time/costs/fuel. Unfortunately DiretFerries has to this day not offered any compensation. It was also very inconvenient that local port personell spoke none or hardly any English, although lots of foreign tourists use this ferry service.
"Very good, but too much music"
The prestations were good. The schedule was respected. There were no problems with the bikes, boarding was quick and easy. The only negative is the music in the solarium which is too loud and prevented us from enjoying the crossing around the pool (we would have prefered to hear the noise of the machine sometimes)
"A pefect trip"
A good see, a good timekeeping, the crew was friendly. Nothing to fault.
"Reliability"
We left on time, we arrived on time. The choreography of people coming in and people coming out is well organised (there's no waste of time). The crossing is pleasant and the staff is going beyond its ways. I'll chose Corsica ferries in the future again!
"Crossing to Corsica in May"
No problem collecting tickets at check in. Quick loading time too and same for disembarkation. The ferry was clean, prices in the restaurant reasonable and staff always available and willing to help. For night sailings better to get a cabin that a Pullman seat as its not too comfortable. We will use Direct Ferries again for our next Corsica Ferries crossing.
"crossing on the 24th of May"
The self service meal is getting better. However, the timekeeping regarding the disembarkment and the exit from the boat could be improved (1h after schedule)
"CORSICA FERRIES CROSSING"
We were very happy with our return crossing from Nice and Bastia. Despite the bad weather and the interdiction to go on the deck, we didn't feel sea sick. The boat is very confortable. We were sitting confortably in the lounges at some tables and were able to have breakfast and lunch at a very good price. Plus the quality of the dished was good. The staff is also very friendly and efficient. The inbound journey went well. The sea was very quiet and the sun was shining. We enjoyed the sea view from the front deck and the open deck bar which makes the ferry feel like a cruise boat. We probably renew the experience with this company and sooner than later we hope.
"a good journey"
A very good and punctual crossing. We were able to board at the last minutes. The cabins are decent, but could be bigger when there is a baby travelling with 4 people.
"satisfaction of the journey"
We are very satisfied with Corsica ferry, we won't hesitate to use it again next time.
"a night on the ferry"
Satisfying overall
"a crossing between Nice and Bastia"
perfect, what else can I say?
"A pleasant crossing"
The crossing was pleasant. We enjoyed the reception, the confort and the quality of the restaurant aboard the Smeralda! We do the crossing regularly and were pleasantly surprised!
"A very good journey"
A first boat crossing! Great" I am very satisfied with the reception and with the kindmess of the staff. I only regret that I didn't receive the booking tickets online.
"delay"
Apart from a 3 hours delay departing from Ajaccio with no explanation or compensation, the journey went well
"crossing without trouble"
Very comfortable and the round trip travel time during the day pleasantly short, easy loading and unloading
"A MEDITERRANEAN CRUISE"
I went on a professional trip to Bastia on the 25th of April 2014 and I choose Corsica Ferries from Toulon to Bastia for a real cruise. Nothing to fault. It was punctual, the service on board was good, the cabins and the installations were clean, the food in the self service was good, the crossing was unfortgettable, it's ideal to start a journey on the isle of Beauty (which really desserves its name)
"An excellent crossing"
The cabin with a sea view was really appreciated and enabled us to arrive to Ajaccio rested and ready for our first trip to Corsica. We were even able to open the windows onto the sea because the temperature were pleasant. It was therfore an excellent crossing.

"A crossing with Corsica Ferries"
The mega express 5 was noisy, we could feel the fibration when we were laying down. Apart from that, the staff is affable despite an Italian accent which is a bit difficult to understand. The mega express 4 is less noisy, but was vibrating all the same. We arrived one hour late in Bastia with no information.
"in january from Nice to Corsica "
Ride was smooth and departure times were met. Booking Pullman armchairs around this time outside the main tourist flows would not have been necessary, because in the bar enough seats were free. Meals: we wanted from Nice should eat comfortably, Restaurant and Self but were closed and only made one hour before arrival at. While on the return trip was formerly open, but the hot food (poisson du jour) was already cold when I got it on the plate. My wife was right to replace lunch with a piece of cake with coffee and otherwise by tight attitude Conclusion: You better see before their own snack. For what was offered, the food was too expensive
"Next time better! "
It should give rooms without television, as it was impossible to read a book., We were able to escape and find a seat at the bar., That does not chair the next time., We could not eat in the restaurant because they were closed. The chairs could be replaced.
"perfect"
a very good prestation, a pleasant journey, a very good reception, congratulations to your company and see you soon
"Crossings "
Everything went smoothly
"An autumn crossing with a big family"
We're a big family with a dog (6 individual in total). We all loved the crossings. They went very fast. We had a nap in the cabin, took a shower and enjoyed the view from the porthole. I enjoyed a walk on the boat, had a coffee and enjoyed the sun on the upper deck while laying down on the deck chairs. The cabins are clean and well soundproofed. The staff is pleasant. The timekeeping was perfect, the ferry was loaded and unloaded at an impressive speed. The only setback is that we had to wait a long time to get our cabin during the inbound journey (in the morning) We'll do another trip with Corsica ferries.
"A great crossing, mais a very difficult arrival"
A great crossing, a clean and confortable boat, a cheerful staff. However, the arrival time was modified at the last minute. Some passengers were notified by sms or email. We were not and we had to arrange for people to pick us up at La Seyne instead of Toulon. It's not far, but at 9pm, it's not that easy to find someone who is available.
"Overall rating: Good "
On the way to the Mega Express Five I was rather disappointed with the quality of the food in the buffet restaurant. The cabin was however clean and well furnished. The service was friendly. On the return trip to the Mega Smeralda, the cabin service was also friendly and clean. Here I was, however, very pleased with the food in the restaurant. The menu was simple smoked ham with mozzarella, spaghetti with tomato sauce and fruit salad. The preparation, however, was very carefully and Spagehtti were really good, you mekte right that is not here then cooked unloving, but that is the kitchen for simple food effort. The service in the restaurant was also very good, the two waiters were very friendly and helpful, only the head waiter probably had a rather bad day, he should smile once in a while.
"A crossing between Bastia and Toulon on 29.09.2013"
We were piled up in the garage, it was impossible to get out of the car and the staff was not pleasant at all. The night in the cabin was perfect, but we were woken up a bit too early in the morning. We arrived late at La Seine sur Mer and had to wait for a long time in the corridor as the garage doors were closed. The outbound journey on the 20.09.2013 was problem free.
"Help to come on board "
We were 1 hour in the sun and had forgotten identify light. When we had to go on board, the battery was dead and we could not start. Help was sent to us immediately. A young man came and started our car so that we could go on board. Thanks for that.
"A trip to Corsica"
the boat was on time, the staff was friendlu, the booking was made online, I recommend direct ferries.
"Bastia /Nice with CSF"
Excellent crossing due to the very good conditions of the sea, and the journey on Mega express five was quite nice, during the lunch time we were treated to a live music concert with the piano. Very beautiful and clean ship
"Decent if there's a good offer"
A seductive but inefficient male staff. I felt treated like cattle. The cabin were smalland poorly soundproofed, but clean and functional. A varied catering.
"A night on board"
Document check-in and boarding (with the car). Perfect However, the reclining seats don’t tilt much -it's not easy to sleep… We were also disturbed by the constant coming and going from the corridor. Another detail: we were given seats at separate ends of a row. Wouldn't it be possible when you book for Mr and Mrs to get seats next to each others/ Nonetheless, we're globally satisfied with our journey aboard your lines.
"A journey from Nice to Bastia"
Boarding and disembarkment are well organised. The staff on board is nice. I would recommend Corsica Ferry.
"Bastia-Nice"
Good facilities.
"Moderately satisfied"
I noticed that a lot of people had difficulties finding their car during their first crossing. Some help from the staff would be welcomed. The music is too loud and bad. The prices of the self service restaurant are insulting.
"A great crossing"
The crossing was good. The boat is well equiped and confortable.
"A trip between Nice and BastIA"
The outbound journey was delayed by 1h30. It was a good service. What's deplorable is that we have to come 90 minutes early and wait under the heat. It's my only reproach.
"Savona to Bastia run Aug 2013"
Chaotic, but very fun experience. Not as organised & clean as SNCM boats, but tons more facilities, much more staff around, many bars and places to eat, kids stuff, free stuff and much more laid back attitude. If you have kids that need to run around and you need a more laid back, fun attitude, these are the boats for you. Will use Corsica ferries from now on.
"comment corsica 2013"
Congratulation on the timekeeping. I cannot review the catering as we brought our own food.
"Congratulations for the seats"
It is impossible to sleep in the pullman seats and a lot of people prefer to sleep on the floor. The staff is neither competent nor nice.
"A well-oiled machine"
Our first experience on a ferry was a good one. Both ships were on time. Corsica Ferries owns a nice fleet. Comfortable and tidy. Dis/embarking is well driected. Very professional and correct. The stay is pleasant. Quiet and plenty of space for everyone. Food and drink is well organised and tasty. Service is good and pleasant. Just one remark about the swimming pool. If you head there at 08.00 you'll be confronted with loud dance music. To complete it a piano concert is coming from the ships sound system. Not nice. Luckily this finished at 1 o'clock. Shame, annoying but no more than that. Conclusion: A very nice ferry experience, but mainly because of Corsica Ferries' quality.
"How can Pullman seat so inconfortable"
You just have to go into the Pullman room to see a vast number of passengers sleeping on the floor, which means that the position of those seats is inconfortable, although there is actually enough space for business type seats.
"Crossing to Corsica "
Everything has worked out super good. Gladly again.
"Nice trip"
We had a wonderful trip with the ship from Bastia to Nice. For travelers without a car you don't have to show up at the harbour more than half an hour before departure. We were told by Direct Ferries to be at the port an hour and a half before departure, but check-in was not even open at that point. Lovely outdoor area with pool, but the loud music with eighties and nineties music on for the duration of the trip would have been nice to be without. Apart from that we can definitely refommend this sailing for getting from Corsica to the mainland in France.
"Nothing to say"
We booked with Corsica Ferry via Directferries. It went very well. You arrive at the pier with your booking number and you ID card and the rest is a piece of cake. The person who welcomes you gives you the number of your cabin. You park your vehicle and go to the deck. The cabins for 4 with private bathroom and toilets are nice and clean. We didn't try the food. The staff does their job well and the ferry is relatively on time (less than one hour delay). It's the holidays ;-)
"Average "
Positive point: a pleasant journey. The cabins are always clean and spacious. I have a preference for the mega express which is more recent. Negative point: the garages are poorly indicated and the non French speaking staff is bad at giving directions. On the mega express four he music was too lound in the children area. WOn the express five, you can only use the cabin 1h after departure. There is only one person to clean the cabin. The prices on board are a bit high.
"A problem free crossing"
We travelled Toulon-Bastia with Corsica ferries in July 2013. Everything went well: the staff is well organised, helpful and nice. The arrivals were punctual. The self-service was just correct. The prices on board are high though and the price of the crossing is expensive too. The loading and unloading of the cars is well organised and the cabins are very clean. We'll probably use it again for our next crossing to Corsica.
"Basta to Nice"
The ferry was delayed on arrival to Bastia by an hour which meant the departure time was incorrect. This did not inconvenience my party as we were not on a tight time frame but may have been annoying to other guests. A straight forward crossing without any incidents. Food quality was very good for breakfast and lunch. The sun deck by the pool was also very enjoyable.
"First time"
Language problems. I can't understand Italian. The disembarkment during the return journey was very confusing.
"Toulon-Bastia and back"
Nothing bad to say. Very efficient, clean cabins, fair food for a fair price. Only some airconditioning on the vehicle deck would be welcome during the summer months.
"Satisfaction"
Perfect. Nothing to report - Thanks
"A good crossing"
It was the first time I used Corsica Ferries. My outbound journey (Mega Express Five) and my inbound journey (Mega Express Four) went smoothly. I will do it again for other holidays in Corsica. The boat was less noisy during the return journey.
"Ferry Trip"
Generally was good but it was dissapointing not to have WiFi as it is a long journey. I am suprised the Ferry goes so slow considering the generally calm water.
"Travelling to Corsica"
A good trip both ways on a very modern ship with excellent facilities and also a very smooth crossing in each direction. Reasonably priced too for the journey.
"A beautiful cruise"
Thanks to a calm sea, we were able to travel in good conditions. Strangely better during the inbound journey (maybe because of the ship's age). Perfectly on time. Thanks to the different options available on board (children game room/cabins/rest room/salarium with a small pool...), we were able to have a good time during the crossing. I would recommend it.
"Nice Bastia Nice"
Precise and on time. Very efficient.
"A perfect crossing between Nice and Bastia"
We've used Ferry Corsica for the first time between Nice and Bastia. We are vey satisfied with the quality of the prestations offered (the dishes are varied, the staff is nice, it's well organised and the boat is ponctual). I would recommend!
"A beautiful crossing "
It was a very confortable crossing under the Mediterranean sun, laying down in a deck chair with a beer, a book and an iPod. The boat was clean and the staff was nice. Almost 7 hours to go to Bastia. It's a bit long, but it was worth it!
"Mega Express"
Nice ship, good service, everything spick-and-span, pleasant atmosphere, boarding and disembarking was well organised, for a minute it was not clear where exactly to check-in.
"A simple improvement"
The screens are working, why not put on a news channel, a documentary about Corsica and Provence or simply movies, all this in different rooms obviously! Otherwise, it's good!
"Crossing to Corsica"
We had two different types of ships, outward was an old one, everything was OK. Lifts are present, small but comfortable cabin with shower, toilet, music, aircon, etc. Also a good service. We slept well that night. One minus: the enormous amount of smoke coming from the chimneys. Is thsi even allowed in 2013? Return was on a newer type. We had to tie down our bikes ourselves, there were no lifts, you could only go outside at the rear. And there was also a small pool, which was not in use. The two meter high windows were badly soiled and it was hardly possible to look out. This ship's smoke was even worse than the previous one and it was very noisy on top of that. The cabins were not comfortable. The shower was dirty and leaked. The following morning lots of empty bottles and other rubbish were lying all over the deck. Both crossing arrived in time. Mealwise: 1st ship - the pizza was cold and leathery. 2nd ship - spaghetti boulonaise, the chef didn't have enough and held the bowl under the hot tap, I couldn't believe what I was seeing... breakfast was OK.
"A good crossing, an excellent service"
An excellent crossing with Corsica Sardinia Ferries. The service is satisfying and the fares competitive. I would recommend this line to my friends and my acquaintances who are thinking of going to Corsica.
"Return trip to Corsica"
Very good crossing and well organised. The restaurant however was very expensive and food low standard (service too!).
"Good crossing"
Very nice trip on this comfortable ship. Lots of options to help pass the time onboard and staff were friendly too.
"Transitions abord the Mega Express 4&5 car-ferry"
During the Ile-Rousse-Toulon crossing, we appreciated the confort of the lounges, the food, the fact that we were on time and the overall cleanliness. However, my sister in law's disability card wasn't useful, especially returning from Corsica. All the rows of cars (between eight to ten) started off at the same time and without any organisation. It was difficult to park and then all the benches were taken by the pedestrians.
"Really pleasant"
A very pleasant trip with a friendly and helpful staff.
"And the Nave Va !"
Peaceful cruise; well equiped boat, ponctual, decent and affordable food (considerate and cheerful service). A drawback at the arrival in Nice: no taxi. It's a shame for pedestrians with a lot of bagages like us…. But it's not Corsica Ferries fault.
"Excellent check in process"
Hello, I found the trip well organized, the check in was excellent.
"Corsica Sardinia ferry trip"
A nice trip, punctual, charming staff.
"Uncomfortable!"
We made this journey (should have been 5hrs 40min took 6hrs 30m) in the afternoon so it didn't occur to us to book a cabin. However the general seating was very uncomfortable for such a long trip. It is modeled on a type of bar lounge with low backed upright chairs and "banquette" style padded benches. To add insult to injury there were notices "forbidding" people to lie down on the banquettes or put their feet up on chairs (not just asking you not to put shoes on furniture would be perfectly reasonable). If you are not uncomfortable enough after an hour there is muzak plaid throughout the ship, you can't escape it. Why do they do that? Loved Corsica, want to go back but will try my best to avoid Corsica Ferries.
"Instruction to get back the car"
First crossing. We were badly directed to get to our cars at the end of the trip. If there were any instructions, we didn't hear them.
"All went well"
I couldn't be more satisfied - the adventure is getting there right? I found a nice seat to sleep in and had a good breakfast too.
"I recommend"
Internet travel booking easy, fast and safe. Organization from the port: nothing wrong. Hygiene on the boat was fine, and all left and arrived on time.
"Return trip Bastia/Nice"
Due to bad weather, we were told we'd have to travel to Savona, Italy instead of France or wait until the following day if we wanted to go to France. So we went to Italy, but weren't given any info by Corsica Ferries on how to get back to France nor did they offer any help in paying for the additional fuel cost!
