Operated by Moby Lines on the Bastia Livorno route
The Moby Vincent cruise ferry is a big ship featuring a high standard of onboard facilities which include a bar, cafeteria, self-service restaurant, boutique, video games room, a selection of cabin accommodation, coach style seats, a children’s play room, sun deck and much more.
Cabin accommodation comes in a variety of 2 and 4 berths with a choice if inside and sea view ('outside'). Coach style seating is available for those who'd prefer not to book a cabin.
There's a choice of places to eat on board the Moby Vincent including a self-service restaurant offers a range of freshly cooked delicious dishes if you only want a snack or a drink then head to the cafeteria. You can have a drink in the ships bar or if you want to enjoy a cold drink while topping up your tan then head to the Lido bar on the sun deck.
The Moby Vincent features an onboard shop that sells amongst other things clothing, children’s toys, maps, magazines and books.
You can kick back and soak up the sun or enjoy the fresh sea breeze on the sun deck.
If you are travelling with children then travelling with Moby Lines will be a trip into the world of imagination, not least due to the Looney Tunes branding and figures which can be found everywhere onboard. The Moby Vincent has a dedicated children’s play room as well as a video games room bursting with games for older children.
If you will require assistance during your trip then you must specify this at time of booking and ensure that you arrive at the port at least two hours before the departure time to discuss requirements with the check-in staff to ensure that your vehicle can be parked within easy reach of access ways and assistance provided during boarding and disembarkation.
Please Note: Whilst we have taken great care in making our Moby Vincent guide as accurate as possible, onboard facilities, services and entertainment may vary depending on the date and time of year that you travel, facilities mentioned may change without notification and ferry companies reserve the right to operate vessels other than those mentioned at time of booking without prior notification.

"Short noticed postponed departure"
Our departure was postponed by 24 hours. The notification came 16 hours before the scheduled departure - without any reason. The e-mail said that we will receive tickets in separate e-mail - no new tickets were delivered. At the port they wanted to turn me back to get new tickets first - after some time they managed to get me through.

"Livorno to Bastia"
Very pleasant 4 1/2 hour sailing to Corsica from Italy
"Nice, but bit boring"
The staff and organization was very good, profesional. Interior seems quite old, could be rennovated. The looney toones character are also old, the paint is coming off. Kids were bored, rhe playground could be extended, the cartoons were switched off, I would instead offer deawing area and puppet show. The restrooms really smell bad, please do something and clean more often. The food in the restaurant is expensive - we would not mind the price, if it was tasty, but it was awfully spicy, salted ans not fresh, we all got upset stomach afterwards. The beans and carrots were undercooked and without any taste. Coffee sercice ia good, prices acceptable. Upper deck - nice, but not safe for kids.
"Livorno to Bastia with Moby"
Not a good trip
"Nice crossing but dangerous way to come of board"
Easy to order tickets through the web, payment with no problem. On the ticket it says you have to print it otherwise you won’t get on board. It took us time and trouble to manage that during our travel cross Europe and as we understood it wasn’t necessary at all. Ferry went off on time and it was a very nice crossing. BUT as we had to get of board they let the cars, vans and trailers start to drive when some of us were still passing to out cars. That resulted in a very dangerous situation where my husband and I got trapped between our own camper van and big trailer with a both on top as it started to drive. The trailer just cut my husband’s heel. Luckily without any injuries. Had it been 20 seconds before it would have been our kids! We were both shaking afterwards and sorry about and ending like that. We hope that Mobylines will follow up with improvements of their safety.
"Livorno - Bastia"
We had a nice trip between Livorno and Bastia. Very nice to be able to dit outside in deck!
"Cabins"
All good we liked the cabin. I just don't get why we got kicked out more than 1 hour before arrival. I don't think it was mentioned anywhere and I think it's just not fair. Had to find another place to sit with small. Kids luggage etc. Tricky.
"my recent trip"
The boat was on time but the service wasn't that great.
"My review"
Nice
"Always late? "
Seems to be always 40-60 m late..
"Disaster"
A blazing hot day and foot passengers kept in baking heat while cars are loaded until someone eventually responds to shouts from some passengers with small children. Ferry left 45 minutes late, no explanation, and arrived in Bastia 1 hour and 45 minutes late. My train had left 30 minutes earlier so had no way of travelling on to Corte, had to book a room in Bastia and get train the following day. Didn’t want to repeat the experience on the way back so wasted my return ticket with Moby and came back with Corsica Ferries, a professional ferry service and a ferry that was light years from the Moby Lines.
"Absolut unakzeptabel!!!"
"bastia to Livorno by Mobi"
started badly at Bastia. No instruction for foot passengers as to where access to boarding was. Having exited at one point an arrival were surprised that we had 400 M to walk for return point of entry. For two elderly people with luggage this was difficult . at check in I asked whether a bus was available for the next 400 M to the ship . after 50 m a bus miraculously appeared much to our relief. reaching the ship we then had to climb five flights of stairs with our luggage. On the Livorno to Bastia crossing we had been taken by lift. no such service was now available I am 79 and wife 78 . This climb with luggage was almost too much. Then we had another two flights to reach our reserved seats. Thereafter we had an enjoyable crossing at leisure in the sun. There was significqnt delay before disembarking but I understand that vehicles must leave first. No real instruction was offered but with enquiry we were offered a descent with a lift . A great relief. Asking about taxis at Livorno I was offered a taxi number which I could not contact but found a taxi rank on reaching pier. The advisor did not seem to know that this existed but told us of a bus every 10 minutes. I can see that crossing with ons own car would be simple but perhaps consideration could be given to foot passengers.
"Difficult to find out how to board as a foot passenger"
Information on getting to the ferry terminal was inadequate; I spent two hours walking round Livorno port to make sure I would get to the right place (as a foot passenger). When I finally found my way to the Moby office, I was told that the ticket issued by Direct Ferries was insufficient, and a new ticket was printed. On board, I was told that I needed a separate ticket for breakfast (even though breakfast was included in the ticket price), but not told how to obtain it. However, the cafeteria did not insist on it and gave me breakfast anyway. Apart from that, the crossing was fine - plenty of seating, comfortable, and disembarking was easy.
"Slow crossing "
Despite leaving on time, we docked almost an hour late. The Corsica Ferries boat that left just before us was docked and fully unloaded by the time we got to Bastia. No reason given, no apology. Return journey very similar.
"Ferry "
Enjoyed the trips -
"a test of patience "
over 1 hour delay on Vincent Livorno-Bastia, about 2 hours delay when coming on Kiss ; stuff not speaking any English or German, or any other language except Italian -> big surprise for somebody active in tourism and on international waters.
"Moby Lines - NICE TO BASTIA"
The worst ferry trip ever! Delays of over 28 hours with no assistance from Moby. Police called to the port because the French were very annoyed. Children crying, no information given, no help in finding accommodation . Never again will I travel Moby!
"Bastia to Livorno"
On my return to Livorno I chose to travel with Moby just because the scheduled departure was earlier than Corsica Ferry. The ticket price was indeed a bit cheaper than Corsica ferryboat. It turned out that Moby had a delay on departure. When I asked the information office on the boat they just said "it happens " , and we arrived in Livorno with 2 hrs delay. The problem with Moby on my voyage was that inside the public areas there was no Air conditioning working, not sure if it's the same on all other Moby's ferryboats. You can see and feel how people were struggling because of this disconfort. Because I travelled with Corsica ferry I can say that Moby has a lot of minuses and I'll never travel this company again.
"Impossible to communicate with when you want to change"
We are currently living in Austria. We made a reservation for July 29th for the ferry between Livorno and Bastia one way. We needed to change this booking but were unsure of our next departure date. Therefore, your website didn't allow making that change without having another date in mind. Several days prior to the 29th I called your office 3 times and waited on the line all 3 times for a very long time and finally gave up. More than 48 hours prior to departure I advised Direct Ferries via email that I wished to cancel my 29th booking leaving the booking open dated. I received an email response from Direct ferries saying that it might take 48 hours to respond. It's been 3 days and I've not yet heard back regarding my cancellation and/or change of booking. I've found this a very frustrating experience.
"Experience "
Ship was late. We did not have any announcement from the staff. Air conditioning was poor inside the ship - was not comfortable.
"Health and safety "
Boat 1 hour late. Vehicles packed in. Unable to get to the door to enter the boat. Had to shout for help. No health and safety considerations
"Fabulous crossing with our 2 young boys"
Moby was very comfortable. Smaller boat compared to other ferries we’ve taken on this trip but the facilities were ideal for keeping young kids entertained. There’s a good soft play area, kids film, as well as lots of bars and seating areas.
"Bad experience"
We arrived to the boat more than 1 hour and a half earlier and still, we were almost last who got in. Many cars which were behind us got into the ferry before us due to incompetent staff. We have arrived in Bastia with more than half our delay and than wait for 40 minutes to get off the boat. We paid a lot of money for this travel and experience with your company was horrible. Thankfully we used other company to get off the island. I cannot recommend to anybody our services.
"Ship ok"
Clean ship and helpful staff.
"trip to Corsica"
Everything was fine, expecialy the reservation system
"Calm trip"
We have good experience with Moby Lines. Both the outward and return trip were pleasant. All neatly arranged and on time. There are sufficient facilities on board to keep yourself and the kids busy. We had a dog with us and that worked out fine as well. Friendly staff on board (Italians).
"Ferry trip from Livorno to Bastia"
We walked to the ferry in pouring rain in Livorno and we soaking wet by the time we arrived to the ferry. A bit confusing how we would get on board the ferry, but we managed to sort it out. The ship was not very well suited for passengers traveling with suitcases as it was very narrow on car deck between the cars. We got on board through car deck so we had to go through there.
"Moby is great"
Previously heard many stories about how chaotic and busy the port of Livorno is. Everything went well. The night before departure, we picked up our tickets and checked out the area. The next morning at half past seven, we arrived to the port and went on board. The ship was different from the ferries in the Netherlands, it had passenger decks above each other. The trip was great with plenty of sun loungers on the outside deck, and most important of all, there were no delays. Both the outward and return journey with Moby was enjoyable.
"Height of the vehicle"
Excellent crossing. During check-in in Livorno, there was a heated discussion about the height of the caravan. On the confirmation, the height of the caravan was 2,60m, en 1,80m for the car. Moby Lines had a vehicle height og 2,60m which I didn't agree too. We had a long argument about this but we were later allowed on board. The ship was not crowded. On the return leg, we arrived with the same confirmation and same vehicle but the agents didn't give us a hard time during check-in.
"Smooth trip"
A very pleasant, smooth trip. Most enjoyable.
"Share your experience - Livorno and Bastia with Moby Lines"
A problem free crossing, some good installations, a good timekeeping. The food is not good value for money. An effort is needed regarding the languages spoken by the staff (French, English)
"Crossing from Livorno to Bastia "
Dear people of Moby Lines, thanks for the hassle free crossing. We not riding for the first time with Moby Lines and were always very satisfied, both with and without cabin. We will our return trip with Moby Lines do, however, we did book in advance. Let us see how it will work out. we are quite confident that they will again runs as good as the previous times. Especially with the online booking was all perfekt. Thanks a lot, until next time With best regards Renate and Lothar Gleitz
"Crossing from livorno to bastia"
Boat was on time. Staff was helpful. Crossing was smooth. Loading and disembarkation was efficient.
"Genoa - Olbia crossing"
The boat was on time. The cabin was conform to the booking
"An excellent journey"
It was a very successful first experience. Punctual, clean and well organised during boarding and disembarkment. See you next time.
"Corsica holiday "
Have already booked for the second time. Are very satisfied. Can I recommend any time. Punctual, straightforward, every time again
"Cuisine"
The restaurant cuisine was similar to a cantine's. The colour balls in the children area were dangerous and there was no age limit for older children. Some kids between 8 and 12 were left unattended by their parents and were putting the youngest in danger. There was a 30 minutes delay.
"A pleasant crossing"
A very pleasant night crossing, the cabin was clean. The bar had a singer. I recommend this company.
"Cabins were not good, otherwise ok"
Vi took advantage of sleeping in the cabins from the night before as the ship was departing at 0800 in the morning. The cabins were claustrophobic and not very comfortable. There was a self-service restaurant on board where the food was good and service excellent.
"Fully satisfied"
A good first experience in Corsica. A first trip aboard a ferry. My fears about that trip disappeared very quickly. Everything was fine : a good organisation, a good boarding, a pleasant journey, the opportunity to eat, games for the kids, a lot of space. The return journey from Bastia was even better with a LED pannel to indicate the gates. I will go to Corsica again next year with Moby Lines.
"A hassle free journey!"
Well organised, punctual and confortable.
"Pleasant crossing"
We had tow pleasant crossings from Livorno to Bastia and back two weeks later. The on-board facilities were fine. During the outward journey we sat on deck and enjoyed the sea and sun. We spent the return journey inside in a nicely cool area and, to our surprise, free WiFi. The only downside was the sign posting in Livorno, it is one big Italian chaos.
"Moby Lines"
Travelling with Moby is definitely recommended. One of the cheapest and punctionality and tidyness was in order.
