Operated by Moby Lines on the Genoa Olbia route
Moby Aki is a big, fast, new-generation ferry with huge vehicle and passenger capacity as well as a wide range of onboard services including around 300 cabins, a choice of places to eat and drink, a pool with sundeck, children’s play area and much more.
There’s a selection of air-conditioned en-suite cabins on the Moby Aki with a choice of inside or sea view (‘outside’). There are also ‘junior suites’ for up to 4 people and a reserved seating area equipped with coach seats.
There’s no shortage of places to eat and drink onboard the Moby Aki ferry! In the à la carte restaurant chefs create delicious menus using typical Mediterranean ingredients whilst the self-service restaurant offers a range of freshly cooked delicious dishes, including a fun children's menu. Authentic Italian pizza is available at the pizzapoint and there is also a choice of cafeterias, a snack bar and an ice cream parlour. If you want to have a drink whilst topping up your tan then the Lido Bar on the sundeck is the place for you or if you want a relaxing evening sipping cocktails then head to the Piano bar. There is also a coffee shop and a sports bar where you can catch up with the latest sporting events on a big screen TV whilst enjoying your favourite drinks.
You can buy just about anything in the Moby Aki onboard shopping centre including clothing, children’s toys, maps, magazines and books.
In addition to the facilities already mentioned, the luxurious Moby Aki features a swimming pool with sundeck, panoramic lounge, kennels for domestic pets and satellite television.
For children, travelling with Moby Lines will be a trip into the world of imagination, not least due to the Looney Tunes branding and figures which can be found everywhere onboard. Moby Lines Moby Aki has a dedicated children’s play area that they call ‘Children's World’. The videogames rooms are bursting with games for older children too.
If you will require assistance during your trip then you must specify this at time of booking and ensure that you arrive at the port at least two hours before the departure time to discuss requirements with the check-in staff to ensure that your vehicle can be parked within easy reach of access ways and assistance provided during boarding and disembarkation.
Please Note: Whilst we have taken great care in making our Moby Aki guide as accurate as possible, onboard facilities, services and entertainment may vary depending on the date and time of year that you travel, facilities mentioned may change without notification and ferry companies reserve the right to operate vessels other than those mentioned at time of booking without prior notification.

"Furchtbar "
"Thank you mobby ferries."
We had a nice and save trip with the mobby ferries. Our Cabin was clear and we had a window viewing to the ocean. Our car was undamaged. The food was delicious but a little bit expensive. The only thing we didn't like where the lots of dogs in section of the ship where shouldn't be dogs in the dinner room or near the pool. In some floors or near the pool was shit or pee of the dogs although there was a sign no dogs in that area. The journey with Mobby ferries was very good and relaxing. Thanks
"Trip Olbia to Livorno"
I booked Mobi Line but had to travel on a Wrack of Tirrenia. I could have cheeper ticket on that line, i paid by Moby Line. I will rethink using Mobi Line again.
"5 hours sleep is 4 hours sleep"
Great boat, cabin etc.. was hoping for 5 hours sleep but you get kicked out an hour before you land! Just so you know!
"Don't reserve a seat"
The positive: the ship departed on time and arrived on time The not so positive: the reserved seats were in a room at the very back of the ship, one deck above the cars, and everything was trembling badly (chairs, ceiling, TVs on the walls) and there was a heavy burned fuel smell; when checking with staff if there's another area where we could sit we were told that's the only one and when asking if we can sit some other place we would find on the ship, we were told a half-"yes" but also reminded that "those (the booked seats) are your designated seats". So we went ahead and left the awful seating area (another ferry company had it way better located on the ship) and headed to the 'breakfast' area where other people were finding seats presumably to have breakfast but really to fall asleep there till the end of the journey; the moment we placed our luggage next to the chairs a rather rude member of the personnel came to fend us off as "those seats are only for the people serving breakfast!"; we said we would get breakfast, but he insisted again, raising his voice, so, at this point, we said f-it, lost our patience and left the area. We eventually found a big couch nearby and set next to another couple and their dog. Since the ferry seems to run around the clock, don't be surprised if the staff is still cleaning after the previous voyage, as you embark, and begins cleaning before the end of the journey, but, given the time pressure, they can't manage to do that properly...
"Perfect"
Perfect day-trip to Olbia
"Livorno Olbio on a Moby"
I have used this company before - to get to Elba. - one of the reasons I chose them this time. Livorno port by the route my app took me is a bit torturous to reach on foot and confusing: olbio port a bit overwhelming, initially, but a short walk to town, Ship and crew was excellent. I was travelling as a reclining chair passenger and was impressed that there were shower facilities. Not my experience of other companies on this route but a single ladies and gents bathroom could become busy on more crowded runs. I was stunned by the 0600 alarm call reminding you about facilities on board (docked at 07h00 not the 08h00 advertised). The reclining chairs were as usual not recliny enough to snooze in overnight but with a light loading on the ship, moveable armrests, their arrangement meant you could sleep acros rows. Food ok, overpriced by local standards but not by UK.
"A very unpleasant experience "
The sea was calm and there was plenty of room to move about. And it was a nice surprise to find such a high quality wine (Cannonau Costera) at the bar. Also, I was grateful that this vessel has an escalator (having already travelled from Piombino to Portoferraio on another Moby ferry, the Niki, where I had to carry my luggage up four flights of stairs). But these are the only positive things I can say. I found the crossing to Olbia very uncomfortable and unpleasant. The decor is ugly, the air conditioning was so cold, particularly at the forward end of the ship, that I was shivering for five hours. That end of the vessel was totally unbearable once the 'music' started, as the noise level was deafening. At that point we moved to the stern, which was somewhat quieter and not quite so cold. But it was still an uncomfortable experience. The crossing took one hour longer than advertised and as foot passengers we had to stand for ages waiting to disembark. I do not intend ever to travel with Moby again.
"Lovely crossing few hiccups "
Ferry coming in was on time, facilities amazing and clean specially good for children. Second time i have been with Moby and both time pools were closed either tho weather was very hot! Also one hour late getting into port.
"excellent"
All perfect compliments...............
"all good"
all perfect, on your website we can choose the best routes at the best price. But you have to pay to change the ticket and also to call the callcenter
"trip to sardinia"
we received a warm welcome and the guy at the port office was very friendly. On board no problem, exept for the rough sea. Restaurant service can be improved. The cabin and the service on board were excellent
"I can't complain"
Departure on time, frindly staff, clean ship. So, excellent trip
"a journey to Sardinia in June"
A good first travel experience.
"A good crossing"
The boarding area in Livorno is difficult to find and you could easily miss the departure. You need to improve the signposting from the motorway. The cabin, the service and the cleanliness on board were good.
"A night crossing from Olbia to Livorno with Moby Lines"
Good overall. Negative: the wake-up call in the cabins is too brusque, too loud, too soon. Negative: people sleeping on the stairs and blocking them I didn't use the restaurant.
"excessive prices for cabins"
I found the price of the cabin excessive for the service provided
"A crossing between Livorno and Olbia"
Thank you for letting me express my dissatisfaction. We were welcomed aboard a Moby Line boat by a very unpleasant staff at the reception, at the bar and at the restaurant. The Moby Line staff doesn't seem to enjoy their job and treats the customers with contempt. A smile or a polite attitude don't cost the earth. Moreover, the shower are not clean. We are used to travelling with Corsica Ferries and will use this company again in the future. Their service is better and they don't treat their client with disdain and vulgarity.
"August 2013"
All went well, the cabin was in perfect condition. The only flaw is the restaurant service, I would recommend to take sandwiches because the quality isn't great and the prices are too high.
"Compliment to Moby Lines "
Good in all respects. Particularly positive: Although the ferry arrived with a considerable delay in Olbia, boarding went quietly and quickly over the stage and the ship ran aground with slight delay from. Compliments to the crew!
"Olbia - Livorno"
No problem regarding this boat and the services. However, we experienced a delay of 1 and 1/2 hour at our arrival in Livorno.
"A good trip overall"
1 hour delay both way. The amenities of the cabins were good. The food was overpriced.
"Excellent way of getting to sardinia"
The boat and the service was very good. I would recommend using Moby.
"As we expected"
The trip was as we expected. The only thing I would recommend to travellers who have chosen this journey with reservations chair, to bring a sweatshirt or sweater because the air conditioning is set to a polar temperature.
"OK"
It was all right from my point of view cant complain.
"A trip to Sardegna"
As satisfied as always to travel with moby lines to go to santa teresa, with its nice little bar and its one hour crossing, time flies. Crossing to Bonifaccio via Sardegna. The crossing wa short, so we didn't have any meals.
"Moby Aki trip in August 2011"
This is the 5th year that I have travelled with my family using the ferries of Moby Lines and even though I often change routes (Genoa Porto Torres, livorno \ piombino olbia), either on the way out or back, I almost always seem to be on the Moby Aki. In my opinion it is one of the best moby’s ships taking into account the speed and comfortability of the trip, even if the food in the self-service restaurant is expensive!
"Excellent ferry - great ferry company!"
I’m a 51 years old originally from Sardinia but I grew up in Dorno (Pavia). It is almost half a century I travel by ferries, I tried all of them, including Moby Aki and in my opinion MOBY is more competitive both on land and on board. Many compliments and thanks for the service you offer!
