The luxurious fast cruise ferry Moby Drea carries up to 1900 passengers and 500 vehicles. Onboard you’ll find en-suite cabins and suites, an à la carte and self-service restaurant, a pizzapoint, a pub, a swimming pool, seating lounge, children's play area, a panoramic bar and much more.
There are 400 en-suite cabins available as a choice of inside or sea view (outside) as well as a selection of suites. For those who'd prefer not to book a cabin there is a reserved seating area with comfortable coach style seats.
In the à la carte restaurant there's a choice of dishes rich with Mediterranean flavour or you could try the self-service restaurant which offers a range of freshly cooked dishes and also offers a fun children's menu. Authentic Italian pizza is available at the pizzapoint and there's also an ice cream parlour. If you want to have a drink whilst topping up your tan then the Lido bar on the sun deck is the place for you or if you want a relaxing evening then head to the scenic panoramic bar or the Admiral Pub.
In the Moby Drea onboard shopping centre you'll find a selection of clothing, children’s toys, maps, magazines, books and more.
The Moby Drea also features a gelateria, swimming pool with solarium and a show lounge.
For children, travelling with Moby Lines will be a trip into a world of imagination, not least due to the Looney Tunes branding and figures which can be found everywhere onboard. Moby Lines Moby Drea has a dedicated children’s play area that they call ‘Children's World’. The videogames rooms are bursting with games for older children too.
If you will require assistance during your trip then you must specify this at time of booking and ensure that you arrive at the port at least two hours before the departure time to discuss requirements with the check-in staff to ensure that your vehicle can be parked within easy reach of access ways and assistance provided during boarding and disembarkation.
Please Note: Whilst we have taken great care in making our Moby Drea guide as accurate as possible, onboard facilities, services and entertainment may vary depending on the date and time of year that you travel, facilities mentioned may change without notification and ferry companies reserve the right to operate vessels other than those mentioned at time of booking without prior notification.

"Overnight ferry"
Good service
"Ship "
There was not much of a shop on this boat but generally it was ok beds were clean and comfortable. 5 stars for the dog service we were given blankets for the cabins this was excellent thank you
"Poor customer service "
We chose this cruise to make our trip in Europe even more enjoyable. During the ticket purchase the pricing was unclear. It indicates that the food is additional €0.99 per person. Once we received our paper ticket, we realized we have spent €61.40 thinking we have only spent €3.96. The food quality was very disappointing. We had our plan for 8 am departure and they started rushing people out of their cabin around 6 am. Since all the announcements are in Italian, we had no clue what is happening. The gentleman who worked there rushed me saying we should leave and the boat arriving (around 6:30) not only we couldn’t take shower and properly get ready for our long day, but also we were so rushed that I tripped downstairs with my luggage. After 20 minutes wondering around trying to find the exit, we found a window and realized we are not even at the port. The cruise arrived at 8 am; we were rushed for no reason.
"Clean and well maintained and managed ferries"
We always use Moby ferries when travelling to Sardinia where we have a house. They are cleaner and better managed ferries that the other companies that cover the routes to Sardinia. We could do with less of the cartoon characters on display everywhere. We rarely see children at the times we travel May/June or Sept/Oct but I guess the kids like them in August. The cabin is adequate for an overnight crossing with en suite. I wish we could be allowed to lie-in a bit longer rather than being awoken 2 hours before we dock to ensure we have breakfast etc and are ready for departure. The sensible people lie-in an hour and come to breakfast half an hour before docking and so avoid the queues! We ate in the A La Carte restaurant which we found expensive at €97 on the way out for 2 people and €85 on the way back having less wine and missing a starter. The grilled vegetable were cold...not even room temperature and generally the meal was overpriced for what we got. May try the 'canteen' next time or bring a box of sushi as I saw others sensibly chose! The onboard shop is a bit disappointing if you need a last minute present as we did. Bought something better in a motorway services en route to Lyon. Overall the staff are pleasant and well trained and the ferry is very comfortably furnished and better than the alternatives.
"Relaxing trip from Genoa to Olbia"
We did enjoy the relaxing trip over night from Genoa to Olbia and back.
"Holiday "
Nice trip
"Great crossing"
We had a very relaxing crossing both ways The head waiter in the restaurant called Tony gave us an outstanding service on bith crossing. The staff in the restaurant and other bars were very service oriented. Not to forget the friendlyness and efficiency of the staff on the car deck
"Drawbacks of ordering with directferries.com"
When I was ordering a cabin, not all type of cabins were shown( on the boat they had 2 more classes of cabins) . I order the best on the website, which didn’t met my expectations, and when I have asked for an upgrade on the ship, I had to pay the full price (not a difference for the cabin class), because directferries.com don’t show the segmentation of the fair that I have purchased (car transportation, Cabin etc.). ; I was told about it at the info desk. If I had booked a ferry directly with Moby, such problem would not arise.
"Moby Olbia to Genoa"
Traveling alone you sometimes get dumped into a cabin for 2. This was not the case with Moby, both directions sole occupancy which is easier and better. Double bed this time, appreciated that. Everything clean and working. Moby Drea obviously recently overhauled, everything fresher than the Moby Otto. But still no accompanying leaping whales and dolphins so no 5 stars.
"Route Olbia Genoa"
Congratulations, I had a really good experiens on the ship Drea. Helpful and lovely staff, it was like a mini cruise
"Genova-Olbia and return"
on the 31/08 at 21.00 I had my ferry from Genova to Olbia with Moby. It was my first time. Friendly staff, great self service restaurant, good bars. Recommended
"Old Lady in good shape "
"I was going 30 years ago with the ship, at that time as" "Tor Britannia" , from Gothenburg to Amsterdam. At the time of construction in 1975/76 were the" "Tor Britannia" "and its sister ship," "goal Scandinavia "" (now the "" Moby Otta ""), the largest, fastest and most modern ferries in Northern Europe. So I was more excited about the reunion. With their timeless and elegant lines make "" Moby Drea "" and "" Moby Otta "" still more ago than many modern cargo and passenger ferry. In details you can see the ship's age, but on the whole the rooms are modern and clean and the ship seems despite his age to have a good state of maintenance. The cabins are a bit cramped by today's standards, but for one night that's ok. The large children's playroom with cafe / bar in the former night club is a good idea for families. Highly recommended for fans of ferry traffic, but also for all other Sardinia vacationers quite. Catering (in the self-service restaurant), as in all Italian ships rather moderate and well below the level of gastronomy on land. "
"ok, but old"
I travelled with my two year old son on the night ferry from Genoa to Olbia. The staff are friendly and helpful but the boat is old, with old fittings and even wooden light-switches... the cabin was very clean and we had breakfast delivered to our room, which was lovely! The foot passengers enter and exit the ship via the car deck, which I found a bit strange. The air-con/heating for the room was broken (and looked really old) and it was a bit chilly. Overall ok (we got there, if half and hour late) but general impression is that the boat is a bit old and I'd have felt safer in a newer ferry.
"Nice trip"
Staff very nice onboard apart from the idiot who made it difficult for me to park my car when boarding! Otherwise the ship was fast and my overnight trip was enjoyable.
"Love Moby"
This is the 3rd year I have travelled on the Moby Drea and I have to say a big thank you to the crew members, always very polite and ready to help. They kindly helped us with our pram both during the embarkation and disembarkatiojn. On the way out we had a cabin, that was on offer, very clean and with en suite bathroom. In 3 years only once it happened that Moby was late but it wasn’t that bad for us, after all holidays are made for relaxing! For us it will be moby next year, too!
"Never again"
Never again. Its an old dirty ship. I prefer Tirrenia.
"July 2011"
I have been travelling on this ship for the past few years on Genova Porto Torres route and have always enjoyed my journey! Points in favour are the good value on offer in the restaurant where I always enjoy eating and there’s also excellent pizza at the Pizzapoint, although a bit pricey. Embarkation and disembarkation are fast too. On the negative side, you have to vacate the cabin at least 2 hours before arrival and the overall cleanliness of the cabin is not great.
