Bocayna Express has a passenger capacity of 450 and can hold up to 69 cars in its garage. On board facilities include , boutiques, bars, and large well-lit lounges - all air-conditioned. In addition, the sun decks afford passengers the opportunity to enjoy the sun and the sea, transforming their crossing into a mini pleasure cruise.

Check in was quick and easy. The desk opens an hour before departure and boarding starts 30 minutes before departure. There’s a bar and shop onboard but you hardly have time as the 25 minute trip flies by. I have nothing to compare it to but the Fred Olsen ferry was nice and clean and the trip was quick with both boarding and disembarking going quickly.

A good trip overall. Quick, simple and easy to get. The board waited until the last minute to register the last passengers, which can save your life if you are a little bit late the day of the departure (or the return). The staff was likeable and polite. There are sockets on board, you can plug your phone easily during the trip. Free Wi-Fi is enjoyable too. The ship was clean, spacious and pretty comfortable. The price was not so expensive but it can change depending the schedules. Good company, would honestly recommand.

First time using this ferry crossing and I took my car as well. I've used other car ferries before and this experience was no different - good easy instructions to follow. The boat seemed to have some national retirees on board and they swamped the front seats - but there was plenty of comfortable seating elsewhere.

Since two ferries travel between Playa Blanca and Corralejo they should be better signposted in Playa Blanca! It is recommended that you are in the harbour 45 min before departure, why? In daytime no ferry arrives until a quarter before departure. In Playa Blanca no cashier opened until 15 min before. A long queue appeared. In Corralejo everything worked allright. The crossing was allright although we had a little windy weather on our way back. But only one of the passengers threw up.

We flew to Fuerteventura and spent a few days in Corralejo then had the rest of our holiday in Lanzarote as flights worked out cheaper and more convenient this way. Taking the ferry to Playa Blanca added an extra dimension to our holiday. The whole process - from booking online before we went, picking up tickets and sailing - was smooth and trouble-free. The boat was immaculate and as it was a calm and sunny day, we sat out on the stern deck, getting lovely views of Los Lobos island as we sailed past. Twenty five minutes from leaving Corralejo, we were in Playa Blanca. I would definitely recommend this ferry crossing.

took the 2pm sunday ferry from corralejo to playa blanca booked online ... was a doddle, and even able to specify car size and roof baggage took my recipet to the window and even with my (p*ss poor) broken Spanish was able to pick up ticket, confirm bike on top etc in seconds ... also dead friendly and helpful staff at counter loading a doddle too ... que for a bit then drive on and park where the smiley cargo guys tell you ... and trust their parking skills over your own ... they know their stuff at the other end after a fun (the boats bobs and sways a lot ... it's like a game of stay upright on a choppy day) journey ... they unload the same way. even got told on the way back as our boot was empty (took supplies but ate the lot) that it'd have been cheaper to throw bike in the back for return journey ... no-one needed to tell us that ... but they helpfully did. all around a top service ... a decent price and easy and convenient to do ... I'd use them again without hesitation

We travelled to Fuerteventura with Fred Olsen. Check-in and boarding went smoothly. Facilities on board were excellent and included a bar and luxury seats. The seats on the open deck were also very nice. It would be nice if the staff on the deck spoke English. Everything including the parking bords was in spanish. This was the only negative point.

In late December 2013 my wife and I, plus hire car, took the Fred Olson 'Bocayna Express' ferry from Playa Blanca, Lanzarotte to Correlejo, Fuerteventura; then returned on the same vessel four days later. The experience was a very positive one. The vessel was on time, very comortable, immaculately presented and efficiently staffed. One comment for improvement I'd like to make, and it's not a complaint in any way, just a suggestion; perhaps the Correlejo ticket office could do with better signing to help the likes of us first-time visitors? We had to ask one of the opposition's employees where it was! All in all though, a most enjoyable experience and one which I can heartily recommend.

The boat is nice and very modern. I thought the bar prices were very reasonable. Loading and unloading the cars was quick and easy. However the motion of the boat in a rough is a little unpleasant if you are not a good sailor.

It's the first time I travelled with Fred Olsen Express, I really appreciated the comfort of the armchairs, the staff, the only negative aspect was about the ticket price too expensive for only a 20 minute trip.

For the booked time the ship was waiting and there were several days no driving with Fred Olsen Express instead. This has of course an unpleasant surprise us, since my brother and our lodging in Lanzarote waited on us. Fortunately for us and we got the car a ticket with Armas and were still puncctuaal in Playa Blanca. A few days later we the fare with small deductions was filed in the office of Olsen. Although the process took almost an hour, but the staff has been very active for us that we got our money back.

I enjoy holidaying in Fuerteventura but as there are no direct flights to the island from Belfast, I decided to fly to Lanzarote,take a taxi to Playa Blanca,and cross over to Corralejo by Fred Olsen ferry. I was very pleased with the service and the courteous way I was treated by the staff and crew. The trip was prompt and pleasant as was my return journey, therefore I will hope to repeat it next time. This was the first time on Fred Olsen express and I have to say firstly it was nice to be met with smiling faces at the office,the boat was spotless and very comfy even for a short trip,the ladies both on and off very helpful and with a smile, my only criticism is that it should be made a bit clearer somewhere that you need to get a boarding card on your way back even if you get a return as there was at least 16 people rushing to get a ticket after trying to board and then sent back to the office at Corralejo to get one or just give you a return ticket when booking but other then that we will use this service quite often now, Thank you.
