"Thira (Santorini) and Piraeus with Blue Star Ferries on the Blue Star Delos "
Good and relax trip
"Delos :oui. Naxos : non "
Le Delos est confortable, agréable par sa luminosité intérieure. Le Naxos ne devrait même pas exister,il est exiguë,il n'y a pas d'asssises pour tout le monde. Des chaises en plastique pour 7h de voyage c'est montrer peu de respect envers les êtres humains... Cela me rappelle certains événements dramatiques de l'histoire !!!.
"Efficient transportation"
Thanks to Blue Star Ferries my family enjoyed a very smooth return trip between Santorini and Naxos. The ferry was clean. Staff very friendly and helpful and journey a wonderful part of a magical week in Greece. Thank you 👌
"SupersonicTonic"
Plaindailing
"Good experience"
Great experience in terms of travel. Ship was well equipped and timely. Only negative was that there was no instruction at all on where to go on either port. No signage towards where to wait or people instructing you. We just followed a crowd which luckily was the right place to wait.
"Poor service"
First they had very poor conditions at the gate in Santorini. The boat was late and we were congested in a small building. Later, when disembarking, there was extremely loud sirene while the ship door was beeing opened. I'm confident some people with medical conditions would get severe head issues after such sirens. Never had it on any other ferry before.
"Brilliant"
Absolutely brilliant service
"Holiday"
Ferries are very punctual, and a nice smooth crossing, part of the holiday
"Travelling on Delois Santorini to Naxos return"
Crazy loading and unloading but it works
"Perfect crossing "
Super efficient service. On time and easy to board and disembark. Staff were friendly and it was smooth sailing straight from Naxos to Santorini
"smooth journey"
Lots of spaces to sit. Very smooth crossing. Snacks and food available. Not sure why the passengers have to be crammed in the hold before the ship has docked - surely it would be safer to have passengers on deck in case of emergency!?
"So poorly organised"
You are treated like a cattle market
"It’s not easy to find your boat at Pireas Athens"
If you are thinking of getting to Pireas from Athens for an early morning ferry to the islands DO NOT CONSIDER BUS OR RAIL. Pireas harbour is vast and as long as you know the name of the ferry line and boat name the taxi driver will deliver you to the correct location for a standard fare of 25€ (05/22). If we hadn’t done that there is no way we would have found our ferry in time.
"Do NOT book a taxi through the ferry!"
Ship was well run. Period. However, do not buy into the extras they try to sell….speaking here of the taxi from Piraeus Port to our hotel at nearly midnite. They offered us a pickup at 26 Euros to our hotel, one we have used before, walked the route, and taken a taxi over the same route for 8 Euros for a day trip, 15 for a nite trip. Their rate was the ‘guaranteed’ lowest rate and I knew better. Don’t fall for the ‘extra’. Just grab one when getting off and save some money, hassle, and time!
"Satisfied passenger"
Had a great experience with Direct ferrirs. The online process was easy, the boat was on time and the trip was smooth
"Great experience!"
The view when you leave the port and when you arrive to piraeus was really wonderful. If you travel in the evening, don’t miss to go out and see the moonlight on the deck. Facilities on board were ok. If you don’t mind about the long time, I would recommend it. It worth your money.
"Traversée Paros / Thira"
Excellente traversée. Cabine confortable. Service très bon.
"Excellent"
Excellent Service
"Paris to Naxos"
Excellent journey both ways. On board food a little more expensive than other operators.
"Naxos to Thira"
Printed booking from Direct Ferries and exchanged it for tickets at the ferry office at Naxos Port.. easy to do. Very busy ferry as weather had cancelled services 2days before. People were in our reserved seats but moved when we asked them to. Very smooth efficient service. 15 minutes late arriving but not bad on a 7 hour journey.
"Cold economy"
Considering the winds, i found the ferry was very steady but theres not really properly indoor space for economy travellers, its a bit of a free for all to grab a seat, so if you're in a big group expect to split up at least for the 1st half of the ride, seriously, take what you can get! Theres a lot of spray that comes onto the seats amd tables so expect to get a little wet and bring a jumper and long leg trousers, especially if travelling at night like us. Toilets are clean and it was at least a prompt service and got us back to Athens in one piece.
"Voyage devacances"
Très bon moment
"Good ferry"
The ferry trip was good. I recommend booking a seat as they are large leather reclining seats with plenty of legroom. This made the journey comfortable and relaxing. A fair amount of food and drink on board to buy. Taking a suitcase is a bit of a scrum at the end as it was so busy- not enough spaces for everyone’s suitcases and not organised at all, so be prepared to battle the crowds getting your cases back!
"Late but good ferry "
45 min late but large ferry Business deck with tables Table service Plugs for charging
"Very good"
Very good experience, would definitely use them again! The ferry was slightly late but that’s usually the case anyway.
"Blue Star Ferries"
As with all ferries in the Greek Islands it's an organised scramble getting on however it is fairly easy and straightforward. There is a space to put your cases but this is a little chaotic with everyone looking for a spot. Once inside Delis felt more like a cruise ship than any of the others I travelled with. Great facilities and food options, clean toilets and friendly staff. I travelled in Business Class, which had comfier seats, and was a little quieter. Lovely waiter service and decent food options. Food is not included in your ticket. Disembarking was hot standing in line but again quick and easy. Overall travelling on Delos was a good experience.
"Expirience onboard"
Excellent experience.
"Very nice"
One of My best sealing trip on ferry. Betteer way than airplane, to see Cyclades
"Excellent "
The ferry was a lot posher than I thought it would be. Nice bars, restaurants, outside areas and seats
"Excellent Ferry Transfer"
Great ferry service to transfer between Greek Islands. Large comfortable ships, very clean and efficient with quick turnaround service at port, great value for money. Would definitely recommend.
"Blue Star ferry Piraeus-Naxos "
Read one or two negative reviews about Direct ferries, have to say from my experience they are not correct. I made a reservation with Direct ferries for the Blue Star Delos from Piraeus to Naxos and it couldn't have been easier. So thank you Direct ferries.
"Take a big jumper "
The ship is nicely decorated. I ordered a seat in the business class lounge. I did not realise it was a sit where you want in a restaurant style setting. I came direct from a flight with only an hour sleep so I hoped that a business class setting would be less noisy. The lounge was packed which is nobody’s fault with many mobiles going and children playing. Unfortunately there were also many announcements so I was unable to sleep. Plus the seats are not designed to close your eyes in. The staff are friendly and there are plenty around. If I was not that tired I would have enjoyed it better. The thing that stood out for me is that the air conditioning was on full blast. I suppose for the staff who are running around it is necessary but for guest sitting around very uncomfortable. Blue Star Ferries did however deliver what was promised. They took me safely from one port to another on time.
"Bad experience "
Ferry didn’t inform us about cancellation its very un ethical we waste our whole day
"Grrrr!!!!"
I am not very happy i pay you 43 e and thé ticket is 36 e Too big commission! It is you et no blue star!!
"great service"
good ship
"Je ne comprend pas"
Nous avons apprécié notre traversé
"How busy must it be in July?"
My first Greek ferry so I'm not an expert but we did one more ferry journey and that was a lot better. Even though it was October it was busy and we made the mistake of leaving our seat in the cafe area. Although there were seats available we never got a good space again. Thankfully we had booked an airplane style seat but the staff made no attempt to check that anyone in that area had the correct tickets. It was only when we got to Paros that we were able to take our allocated seats. The food available was OK but not very healthy. The staff seemed to be non-existent and rubbish was only removed near the end of the trip. So you can we weren't too impressed. On the positive side the ferry did leave exactly on time and the announcements were clear an helpful.
"Good trip"
We travelled from Piraeus to Paros yesterday on Blue Star on economy tickets. We found comfortable seats outside, the ship left on time, the sailing was smooth, we had coffee, tea and cake that were all good, and the ship was clean. No complaints from us and we were very happy with the service. Thank you Blue Star.
"Very prompt arrival and departure"
Ferry very good, but then the heavens opened at Naxos!!
"Lack of communication "
Good morning. I am very disappointed with the company. I fully understand why you decided not to sail as i am a chief officer on a ship and I myself make these decisions too. However, i would never not inform passengers about this as it means passengers pack up their belongings and head to the ticket office expecting to go that day. Very poor communication. I hope this review gets picked up and changes put in place. I know the difficulties you face and this is one that can be resolved easily. Hopefully this doesnt happen on my journey back to Athens with you as my partner and i will be on tight time restraints to catch the 9 hour ferry. How will this be resolved? I would quite happily speak to staff on my long journey back to Athens on the 1st october.
"Poor notification "
Our return was cancelled but we were not notified.
"Blue Star 'Delos'"
Ferry was lovely. Only snag was it should have sailed at 3.30pm but only arrived at that time, making it 40 mins late to arrive at destination.
"Great ferry service"
On time, well managed and excellent trip to Paros
"Paris to Santorini "
Lovely journey between Paros and Santorini. Travelled in business not much difference but quieter. Very nice lounge seating area. Nice calm sea!!!
"Comfy voyage"
Felt like a quality cruise ship, very pleasant ride
"Direct ferries... I am disappointed in your service "
I have no complaints about Blue Star.... what I do want to say is how incredibly frustrating trying to amend our booking before the trip was. We decided to change our seats from 'free seating ECO' to assigned seats for the 5hr 15m journey. I tried to amend my booking on direct ferries and it said the cost was £32 to do this. I wasn't annoyed at the amount so I said yes. Then I received an email within one hour after that saying that the price was now £67 to have this upgrade. Sounded a bit absurd so I rejected the booking amendment charge. On the day of the journey, we went to a Blue star ferry counter to have our tickets printed and I asked about the upgrade. He said it would be possible for seats and that it would be €5pp!!! For the exact same seats!!! I am furious Direct Ferries that you think you can charge customers up to £67 to amend their seats when the ferry company is doing it for only €5pp for the exact same seats. Shame on you, I will not be using again.
"Trip with blue star"
Direct ferries online platform is easy to navigate and book tickets online. The trip with blue star ferry was very good
"Our trip to Paros Blue Star Ferries"
During the '70's I did the hippy route through Europe ending up in Athens and then island hopping on the ferries ....it was a wonderful experience and I visited many islands. This year , 40 years later, I visited Athens again and had the choice of flying to Paros or getting the ferry. I took Blue Star Ferries which was definitely the best decision , I loved every minute it. Obviously the ferries are completely different !! We sat at the back on the top deck....and watched as dolphins swam and leapt over the ships wash . The choice of food was excellent as were all the facilities on board. Thank you Blue Star for bringing back some unforgettable experiences.
"Ferry to Paros"
Our first experience of a ferry and it was great, smooth sailing and a comfortable ride, would recommend buying the airplane style seating for extra comfort on longer trips and confirmed seating. Lots of passengers, ourselves included, seemed to have issues finding their seats so better signage would be an improvement. Plus often other passengers were sitting in seats not allocated to them which can be difficult to communicate when there is a language barrier - staff could have been more helpful in these situations. Would recommend bringing your own food and drink on board as the catering provided was over priced.
"Very very good trip"
These ferries are on time, super efficient, modern.Smooth trip, plenty of space to chill out, lots of fast food cafeterias everywhere, safe high rails for the kids. The only problem we encountered was that although we had a lovely cabin on the Delos we stupidly took our luggage to the cabin and on arrival in Paros chaos..the lifts were used by everybody clambering to leave the vessel and had to use the stairs bumping our luggage down.On the return trip to Piraeus,we also had a cabin which by the way was really comfortable and really relaxing- we got on and left our luggage in the secure, garage facilities of the Patmos. Freedom, stress free trip, better organized disembarkation and problem solved.
"My trip to Paros"
All was very nice, enjoyed the trip and the service. The fairy was in a good condition. Only issue was with the booking as it is not very clear. I believe there should be more clarification to make us as clients understand the differences between the different levels of bookings.
"Easy system and helps to budget and pay ahead. "
Very easy system. Took our booking details to the local office before checking in and picked up the tickets. We liked that we had booked and paid ahead so less money to be worrying about while on holiday. Only thing to remember is that the local offices all charge €1 per ticket to print out, this is for all online bookings. Greek ferries are very busy but seem to be efficient and easy to use.
"Very straight forward"
Ferry was on time and there was plenty of seating. We booked airseats but never used them as we moved around the ship following the sun. Only one slight negative would be the storage of large bags. Although stored down in the locked cargo hold, there is not enough secure racking so they just end up in a big pile. Just had to make sure we were one of the first in que to get our bags. On the whole definitely recommend.
"Make sure you get a Ticket not an email printout"
At no point by direct ferries that after buying a ticket through you we should have got an other ticket from blue star at the port ! This became a problem on board !! Dealt with by a complete idiot member of staff ! Who felt with us like we were kids (46 and 47 ) not happy with customer care both before and at the dock ... no organisation what so ever . Rant over jon
"Greek Ferries have changed"
The last time I was on a Greek ferry it was a rusty old tug. The Blue Star ferry from Piraeus to Thira was a mini cruise ship. Clean, modern and comfortable and the staff were ultra efficient. Smart cafes and facilities. Well done Blue Star
"Piraeus-Paros "
Not too busy in June, the ferry times were very accurate. Reasonably priced food on board.
"Cattle herding."
Time is the essence on the ferries schedule , but as a passager felt like cattle being herded aboard, too many people with luggage trying to get on board, horrendous,no information before hand where to store luggage, limited support by staff, lack of preparation , cattle market comes to mind. Why are the tour groups luggage not put in to cages, beforehand,to be stored on board.so they can walk on,back packers can be supported on board. I'm sure by forward thought could make a difference, Thankfully on this trip clear instructions on debarkation, to which Island in plenty of time,so it was calm.
"Fast and comfortable travel with Blue Star Delos, with some disturbing things"
The ship is very clean, there are a lot of different area, and at almost every seat are plugs. But the restaurant commercialal in every half hour is very annoying and loud. Some people are very noisy, listening music loud, and it is disturbing for a lot of passenger, but the crew does not care about it. And I think 5 euro for the wifi password is little bit too much, expecially it does not work very well and can used by just one device.
"A bit expensive but EXCELLENT!"
OVERALL EXCELLENT!
"from athens to paros"
very nice experience
"Good "
All good, on time just make sure you do what the staff say and it's plane Saling.
"ship Fira- Athenas"
The travel was ok. I payed for a place... but when a arrived to the ship I understand that a lot of people just enter to the chairs place and sit without payed for it. So I felt i little bit angry that i payed more for something that its not controlled for no one in the ship. Anyway the trip was safe, quickly, and comfortable. The staff wasn't so kind... like the felt was that they was hurry all the time... but ok.
"Excellent!"
The ship was clean, everything worked well, and the staff was kind and accommodating. The cafes had a lot to offer and weren’t too too expensive. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi is not free, but only costs about 5 euros for the whole trip. I recommend BlueStar Ferries and I would definitely ride with them again.
"Sailing the Aegean in relaxing comfort"
Blue Star ferries ship "Delos" built in 2011 in South Korea is a well appointed ship for island hopping around the Cyclades. If it's gazing out at sea that you're after there is plenty of space provided on board to do just that.Equally if you need to catch up on some sleep their are facilities for that too. With a selection of cafeteria facilities you will never be short of reasonably priced food and drink to choose from either.
"Island Trip"
Ferries in Greece don't run to time and change times altogether! Rely on your actual printed ticket only not an email confirmation, as we have learned! Trip between these islands was great, although the ferry was late and everyone was pushing and shoving to get on when it arrived. The actual ferry is very nice although book a seat and make sure you get that seat as many people don't pay for seats and then just sit in anyone's!
"Efficient, on time, a lovely crossing between Paros and Naxos"
Ferry was on time arriving and left on time too. Spacious with loads of outer deck seating, perfect for being able to see where going. Clean, staff friendly. Would recommend and use again.
"Tout est très bien"
Bon service, bonne traversée, j'ai réservé par internet a partir du Canada pour la traversée Le Pirée-Santorin en Grèce et tout s'est bien déroulé.
"Naxos"
Great trip nice clean ferry queueing a pain to board At Thiri as hot indoors don't go in wait in cafe let the Chinese queue as they push in anyway Ferry Tripp both ways great and clean
"Don't book with direct ferrys"
I have no idea what this would have been like as I had to change my crossing. First ferries changed it too late for me to get the booking. I contacted them via email no help there. I cannot comment on Blue Star.
"Piraeus to Paros"
The ferry was very crowded but we were able to find seats on the upper deck. It left on time and arrived in Paros on schedule. We only had a snack and drinks but found the prices very reasonable.
"Blue Star Delos Review"
Notoriously overpriced travel service. Boat had no functioning toilets- completely unhygienic standards. Boat also arrived hour later than intended. Boat should be able to facilitate maximum capacity- it is not acceptable that the boat breaks down when it is busier. Would not recommend, however unfortunately there is no other choice. Swim if you can!
"Piraeus to Paros ferry"
The blue star ferry journey from Piraeus to Paros was very smooth and easy. Boarding was quick. Enough seats on deck and toilets were pretty clean. Would recommend this ferry trip.
"Perfect 👌🏼"
Easy & safe booking, collected tickets 30min before On time departure . Beautiful and comfortable journey friendly staff, child friendly . Reached on time. 5 star service will travel again.
"Piraeus to Paros Aug 2017"
No complaints at all. The ship was punctual, clean and comfortable with plenty of food and drink outlets. There was the usual kerfuffle boarding and disembarking, but all totally normal.
"Naxos"

"Athens (Piraeus) to Santorini (Thira)"
Blue Star Delos ferry. Was Comfortable and clean. Economy class didnt have reserved seats however, there are plenty of seats on the boat. I would recommend collecting tickets approximately and hour before the ferry is due to leave and boarding the ship which, especially on the early morning trips, will mean you will usually have access to any economy seat on the boat. Outdoors, indoors on the sofas or in the cafeteria area.
"Interesting trip accross the Aegean"
I wasn't happy with the on-line booking system as I wasn't given direct access to my tickets to download despite several attempts. I had to report to the Ferry Office in Santorini who printed the tickets for me for a small charge. That caused a bit of anxiety for me. The ferry was amazing. It arrived in the port about 10 minutes late. The walking passengers were first to disembark and appeared as a great 'surge' from the car deck. We have not seen anything like it. It was very amusing and Greek, which we love - no rigid conformity to Health and Safety. We of course were part of the 'surge' when we disembarked. What fun ! Staff have a casual approach to looking after their passengers, but are efficient enough. Another charm of the Greek in general. The ferry itself was impressive enough and had an incredible ability to cater for vast numbers of passengers. Good temperature on board too. There is access to an external deck if required. We paid a bit extra for designated seats, although we were placed apart on our return journey. Not good planning there. We did not have experience of the catering on board , although what was available was disappointing - veering away from Greek cuisine to a limited choice of take-away style food. If we had to decided to eat in their café, it would have been difficult to find seating as the bench seating was occupied by quite a number of sleeping bodies. This needs to be managed better by staff. Nothing that we experienced detracted from our enjoyment of this journey from Santorini to Paros. This was part of the Greek experience which we love and a much more pleasant way to reach one's destination than disembarkation at an airport.
"Good trip - but..."
Very nice large shop very well run and extremely clean considering so many people on board- only criticism is not of Blue StarFerries but of passengers - total chaos with getting suitcases on arrival and departure from the ship wow!
"Super, easy, would do it again."
First time using Ferry in Greece and it was very easy. We reserved tickets in advance and printed confirmation from home (Canada). Arrived at port about 45min early and went into the Blue Star Ferries office to print tickets. (cost about 3euro). nice shady area to wait at the end of the docks with good signage to indicate which line up to get in. (we asked anyway and confirmed we were boarding the correct boat). Ship was right on time. Escalators inside the ship helped since we had our large suitcases. We were in business class - I think the only big difference is that we had a nice lounge viewing from the front of the ship. very comfortable and clean. Great view. Other seats would be on the sides and back or outside decks. There is food on board. Great service but not the best quality for the price. Kids were excited that they had a children's menu.
"Not great"
There were very few seats for economy tickets anyway but the trip was so packed on the way out that there was no where to sit, people were queuing and basically being forced to upgrade to the mountain of 'reserved' seats that were available - when booking, they should really make it clear how few seats there are. we had a simple burger and chips and it was luke warm both there and on the way back. Toilet was overflowing in to the hall on the way there towards the end of the trip. On the way back, it was a completely different ship and basically the only economy seats were in the burger bar, fixed plastic seats at a plastic table - really not great for a 5 and a half hour trip. We upgraded to business which was a massive lounge at the front of the ship not very dissimilar to the seating area in economy on the way going. It was also very empty (seemed like quite a waste). Cost of a coffee in there seemed more than in the normal area but it arrived in a nice glass cup with a biscuit and beer in a glass, though when we ordered a second it arrived in a paper cup as my husbands beer in a plastic cup - so not really consistent in terms of standards. Quite punctual though and quick turnaround. I recommend you thoroughly understand the ship you're booking on, what seating they have so you know what you're paying upfront rather than be stung on board and take your own food if you don't want to pay over the odds for cold food!
"Santorini to Naxos Trip"
We were very impressed with the standard of ferry and the fact it arrived and left on time with no delays.
"Our ferry journey"
Reliable return journey for us between Pireus and Naxos. Beautiful views. Worth upgrading to business if you need to rest.
"Fabulous "
When we use The Bluestar it only means one thing - I am on holiday in a beautiful country and cannot wait for my Bluestar journey to begin 🇬🇷💙 We travelled on Delos - it's a brilliant ship 🚢 and tell everyone always about it - I have enough pictures to float a boat 😊 I love the Bluestar
"Not fast ferry but a cruise "
Well appointed ship travelled business class well worth the extra, only disappointment the wifi not up to standard.
"Mode de transport par excellence"
Confort, ponctualité, courtoisie 5/5
"Sur la coche!"
Tout s'est très bien déroulé, du début jusqu'à à la fin. Le traversier est à l'heure. Il y a du personnel pour diriger les passagers. On avait le choix d'aller sur le pont ou de rester confortablement au salon. Bref, nous sommes très satisfaits des services de Direct Ferries
"Very busy"
Annoyingly we got on very early and sat on some seats, not realising that they were reserved/numbered. When rightful 'owners' of seats turned up the boat was full to bursting and there was nowhere to sit. Any where. NO free seats. AT ALL. We walked round for 20 minutes until we saw two high stools near a cafe that were free. However, plenty of seats being used to look after people's bags and feet.... perhaps have some staff circulate asking people not to do this? Not a good journey, though we were the lucky ones, plenty of people seen sat on the floor.
"Great trip"
On time. Comfortable trip.

"Island hopping in Greece"
Using Blue Star Ferries to island hop in the Cyclades. In terms of expectations, think busy London bus, often a bit late and over crowded, but nevertheless good fun and a positive addition to the Greek island experience. If you can, book your tickets before your journey on the internet, and pick them up at an agency on the island you are travelling from - better than waiting until you get to the port, where it may seem chaotic. So far this year my ferry trips have all been a bit late, 10 to 45 minutes, so what - this gives you time for a quick drink before embarking. Overall - good fun way of travelling.
"Nice santorini trip"
Recent trip to santorini took car from Piraeus.the ship was in very good condition the deluxe cabin top notch, we believe the food selection could be better.the choices are very limited.
"Still awaiting refund "
We did not travel on this ferry due to the ferry strikes. We have contacted the company on several occasions and still gave not received a refund!
"stop sending e-mail about reviews"
you should stop spamming people with review emails, among other things
"Blue Star Ferry to Naxos"
Very pleasant journey. Ship was on time. My only concern was the assembling of foot passengers on the car deck before the ship had docked and when the cargo door was opening.
"very relaxing voyage"
On a lovely morning in early October I sailed to Paros. The ship was bigger than I expected and the voyage was comfortable and the sea was was very calm.
"Love Blue Star !"
Friendly staff, modern facilities, good selection of food and drink on board. We were impressed by the seamanship of the captain and crew. We left Piraeus on time and arrived at Thira on time. We are looking forward to using Blue Star again soon.
"Paros ferry"
Travelled to Paros and back to Piraeus with blue star ferries. Most enjoyable experience. Booked stickers online. Staff at Piraeus very helpful, staff on the boat extremely polite and helpful. Ferry left dead on time on both accaisions. Well done blue star ferries!
"Thank-you Direct Ferries!"
I travelled recently on Blue Star Delos - just short trips between Paros and Naxos. All was good: punctuality, cleanliness, catering, and the staff. But the star of the trip was the Direct Ferries team, who alerted me to impending industrial action which meant a ferry strike on one of the days I was travelling. This prompted me to change my plans and not suffer as a consequence of the strike, otherwise I would have incurred hotel fees for a reservation I couldn't make, etc etc. THANK-YOU Direct Ferries! Really impressed.
"Piraeus to Paros - Blue Star Ferries"
Contrary to some reviews Direct Ferries ticketing was efficient and problem free. Voucher was exchanged for tickets at port within 5 mins. Ferry was on time both ways and very comfortable with good amenities. All round a very good experience.
"pleasant and efficient"
excellent service - clean and spacious and run with efficiency to the minute.
"Blue Star Delos. Super Ship. Super Service"
Excellent Facilities. Friendly Staff. Good Food and Drink. :-)
"Great way to arrive in Santorini"
Blue Star Delos is a large modern car ferry with plenty of space and good facilities. Fast and efficient. A great way to arrive in the Santorini caldera. If you don't have a transfer when you arrive, avoid the over-priced taxis and try and get the public bus up from the port!
"Good Service"
My only issue was with the seating arrangement. Almost everyone who'd booked one or more seats in the lounge ended up bickering over who was supposed to be sitting in which seat. The service could be improved if a) seats were more clearly marked and grouped and/or b) there was a staff member on hand to conduct seating arrangements.
"Great service"
We recently did three weeks island hopping in Greece, we booked through Direct Ferries for transportation they were brilliant, great turnaround, very efficient, really pleased with the service
"Stampede!!!"
The ship was on time, boarding was very fast and easy, if not a little mad with all the people rushing and the vehicles disembarking at the same time. I booked seats in the buisness lounge, they were easy to find, very comfortable but we didn't need to book as there were plenty of seating areas on board. The fast food takeaway was not very good. It was extremely slow, they took orders but the food wasn't ready and a number of people who had part of their orders ready by the time the rest was ready the original parts were then cold so had to then wait for warm food. The cafe was good. The off loading was an experience. You were called to the cargo bay and had to wait with everybody from the ship in a very hot cargo bay with your luggage until the loading bay was open ended and then it was a free for all, everybody trying to get off the ship. If you have trouble walking I would suggest waiting till the end, do not go first you will be trample led in the stampede!!!! Overall though a pleasurable experience and now I know what to expect I would travel with them again, I just would be more prepared.
"Fast and easy "
Good choice between the Islands. Ok price, good comfort and possible to buy food and drink. Always close to schedule is my experience
"fabulously comfortable"
We had booked into business class wherein we had a nice lounge set up with good bar service. Restaurant and cafe options were limited in the floor.there was a good cafe downstairs but one could lose his spot given that the ferry got so full at the first dock stoppage. no wifi on the floor. it was available at 5 euros at a place away from business class. good seats and sofas.good service by the waiters at the bar and minicafe. Overall it was a very good experience. Go blue star.
"Santorini to Poros"
Lovely relaxing ferry crossing - although a little late arriving at Santorini (understandable due to windy weather). Enjoyed and great start to our beautiful amazing holiday in Paros!!!
"Great service"
Great service provided, only had a problem with it being 40 minutes late but other than that it was very good
"Going to Paros, A Good Alternative to Mykonos Airport"
Going to Paros this year I decided to give it a try to the Ferry. I used to land in Athens, then Mykonos, then 40 mins of boat from Mykonos to Paros. I found the ferry from Athens Piraeus to Paros a good alternative. You save the hassle of security checks, check in - check out, etc. In addition I need to say for those landing and leaving from Mykonos, that Mykonos Airport is quite a poor airport in terms of services. The ferry is always on time, as far as I know, there are a bars and restaurants and is clean. I really suggest to try.
"Good experience "
The ferry is really beautiful and it made our trip comfortable. The only thing is that I find ridiculous that there is no free WiFi, I believe that nowadays is ridiculous to pay for that as an extra service.
"Flawless trip"
From buying tickets to arrival at destination, the system worked perfectly. The ferry was very well run, the staff were all polite and helpful, I look forward to my next trip to Greece !
"Naxos to paros "
Tickets were easy to collect from agent in harbour .for a charge of 1 euro per ticket. . The ferry departed on time and was surprisingly modern inside .... it's been a few years since travelling on such a ferry. Had seats booked for outside and it was fine with a great view and a bit more sun .. would recommend this service as it was cheap compared to the high speed service and only took 5 minutes longer .
"Piraeus / Santorini / Naxos"
Very impressed with Blue Star Ferries. Clean, spacious, comfortable seats (air seats) and outside seating. Would definitely travel with them again!
"Journeying to Paros"
Obtaining tickets, which previously I had booked and paid for on line, at the Blue Star Ferries office at Piraeus was straightforward. On 21 June on the Blue Star Delos the staff at the point of embarking and disembarking were very helpful with regard to heavy luggage and the barman on the top deck was particularly pleasant.
"Now a big fan of blue star!"
Enjoyed 3 ferry journies with blue star ferry this summer
"My trip was fine"
No complaints whatsoever. I loved it, all of it!
"Excellent all the way"
Beautiful cabin and wonderful service. Great green tea! We would prefer a more orgaised disembarkation method.
"Busy crossing"
The ferry was full as I was travelling after the Greek Easter holiday so glad I booked ahead ensuring my seat.
"Ferry from Santorini to Paros"
Blue Star ferries were fantastic. On time, quick and efficient! Will definitely use again
"Amazing Journey"
Puntuality, cleaning, efficiency: we cannot really complain.
"Excellent journey"
All the ships were clean. Only the ship to Paros did not have enough space for luggages!! Good food.
"Trip Thira (Santorini) to Paros"
Good seats, clean and the service on board is good.
"good treatment"
I found the Blue Star Ferries service of good price and quality. Comfortable and clean ship. Perfect time.
"Like a cruise"
My experience was on a space deck seats. Reasonable price, eccelent quality. The ships are huge and even after a lot of people get on board you cannot really fell like it is full. Helpful and kind staff. Extrem punctuality! After this experience I will choose only Blue Star Ferries.
"All perfect"
Perfect booking system, travelled on a new and well maintaneid ship
"Recommended"
Comfortable, quick and helpful crew.
"ferry trips"
My return trip Piraeus to Paros went smoothly. We managed to find seats up on deck and enjoyed some sun on the way. The snack we purchased was tasty and the coffee good.
"Blue Star – big comfortable, modern, ferries"
These are huge ferries. It is easy to get a bit lost. Take special note of where you store your baggage. It is very easy to be confused between decks. As far as ferries go, this is bigger and better than most. It is a serious ship. I would prefer to be on this if the sea came up. It is nicely appointed inside – the boat is only a few years old. I was in Business Class. The area needs to be spruced up a bit on the cleanliness side to cater for Business Class and the catering people need a lesson in being customer focused eg. I went to the bar to buy something and the woman serving said I could not order over the counter, that I had to wait for a waiter to serve me. Silly. A quick sale over the counter is easy money. Having to exchange my DirectFerries ticket for a Blue Star Ferry ticket at a ticket office for boarding was a bit annoying and easy for novices to be ignorant of. I guess it is like a physical check-in at an airport though.
"Good ferry"
Blue Star Ferries offers many ferry services around the Cyclades. Fantastic service, always on time, beautiful view from the deck. In short, highly recommended.
"Well organised!"
In Santorini, there's always a large group of people trying to board. If you don't want to wait in the shade, then arrive much earlier. It's relatively quiet on board (there's also a large group of people on board)
"Great Ferry Trip"
Booked online and collected tickets from Blue Star office in the Port at Pireaus. Staff handled the hordes descending on the ship efficiently and we left suitcases on the first level in a luggage room. The Delos left Pireaus and arrived at Santorini on time. There was a good range of food and drinks available on the crossing. WiFi is available at 3 euro for 3 hrs but be quick as only limited number of people can be online. To arrive at the Islands in daylight is quite special and we would not do it any other way.
"Good and easy"
We had prebooked seats which was luxurious and comfortable, but there seemed to be plenty of space.
"The boat trip"
Easy way to book, simple to get the tikcets for me at Santorini
"Well organised"
I had made several crossings to travel with Blue Star Ferries, and picked up tickets at the Port. In these economic times, it was quite exciting to see if everything would go well. We picked up the tickets of all crossings in Piraeus and boarded the ship. For every next crossing, we no longer had to check in. on board facilities were excellent. The ship was on time. Would definitely recommend to travel during the high season!
"Nice ferry trip"
We had a lovely sailing from Santorini to Naxos. Wonderful ship, spacious. Good luggage storage.
"Seajeats is fast and on time. Efficient travelling between islands."
Fast and comfortable. Efficiency on high level.
"Naxos trip"
Recommend this ferry to Naxos. We arrived safely.
"Cheap ferry tickets "
We took the ferry from Paros to Naxos then Santorini. Although it took longer, it was nice to see Naxos along the way and we saved about 10 euros per person!
"PIREAU-PAROS"
MAXIMUM PUNCTUALITY, KIND STAFF
"Travel from Piraeus to Santorini with a stop in Paros"
Both experiences was excellent. No time lost for embarking or desembarking. Everything was on schedule.
"greek ferry was modern and functional"
Excellent ship, modern and with all the comfort
"Wonderful !!!"
We travelled from Athens to Santorini with Blue Star Delos, Very satisfied with everything. The ship was big and confortable so we didn't notice how 7.5 hours passed. Highly recommend this company!!!
"Nice boat trip"
Blue Star has good service and new, lovely ships, good price. Good food on board.
"Pleasant trip"
We spent 2 enjoyable hours onboard the Blue star ship. Enjoyed the sea view. The ship is nice and has a lot of facilities which makes the trip memorable.
"Disorganised and dangerous boarding..."
Compared with the other Blue Star ferries we have used this summer, this route was disappointing! And put a damper on the end of our wonderful Greek holiday. Why? Because unlike all the other routes, embarking and disembarking were utterly disorganised...unlike all the other routes passengers were not encouraged to store there baggage, and as result the vast majority of passengers carriers their [huge] baggage with them resulting in ridiculous and frankly dangerous (we had two children ages 11 & 9 with us and they were both hit by bags on numerous occasions) queues on the stairs and escalators as people tried to carry their luggage on and off board. Other comments: (1) lack of seating for passengers, resulting in staff aggresively hounding people to budge up and share seating in an unreasonable manner; (2) the boat was on time in Santorini but was 45 minutes late into Piraeus, without a reason/warning given to passengers; (3) toilets were clean and well maintained. Prior to is trip we planned to use Blue Star again next year, however we will now look for another company.
"Piraeus to Paros"
Had a pleasant trip on this ship. Everything was well organised despite being very busy. Would use this again no problem but would maybe arrive to the ship earlier to get a better seat. Prices of food etc on board were ok.
"Far exceeded our expectations"
We weren't really sure what to expect after hearing from friends that the trip to different islands can be very rough. Even though it was a fairly windy day, the journey was completely smooth- most of the time it was like we weren't even on a ferry. The interior of the ferry is beautiful and clean. I would highly recommend using Blue Star Ferries for your travels between islands.
"Nice Summer in Cyclades !"
I'm very thankful with the boat Blue Star Ferries, and many +++++ from Christopher and my Wife Maria. The only - negative was the waves that day.
"PAROS SANTORINI"
The ship was very well and although we were in economy class, for the crossing duration is quite comfortable.
"good solution"
comfortable ship
"santorini - naxos and return"
My experience with Direct Ferries is positive. Good organization, good price considering the high season
"perfect"
The journeys that I made with Blue Star Ferries among the greek islands has been perfect. Departure on time, easy way to book the tickets in internet, good service with the passengers. Even there is a lot baggage, there is no problem at all with the bags . Totally recommended.
"Nice and comfortable journey"
The trip was very nice and comfrotable once we had boardet. A bit negative with the waiting and queuing, especially in Santorini, where we were standing long in the hot sun! The boat was almost 1 hour delayed from Naxos.
"Very nice boat trip"
It was a very nice trip from Pireas to Naxos :)
"Ferry to Naxos"
We travelled with Direct Ferries fom Santorini to Naxos and back this summer. We are very happy with our choice to do so. The shop was new, nice and on time. Furthermore, the ship was of such a size that you did not know if it was wavy and windy outside.
"Blue Star Greece"
Blue Star Delos Piraeus to Paros is an excellent ferry, enjoyed my trip.
"trip Pireo-Nasso"
Excellent service, cheap, on time, comfortable, wide choice of bars on board. Public toilets very clean and all the staff friendly and helpful.
"Overall smooth crossing"
We caught a Blue Star ferry from Santorini to Naxos in July 2014. We decided to book a cabin for our family of four so we could leave our belongings secure while we wandered around but in practice we just sat at a table for the 2 hours so it was probably unnecessary. Our cabin did not have a window and was in the middle of the boat. However if you want to have a sleep the cabins are not too expensive. It was quite chaotic when the boat arrived about 15mins before the departure time. The cars came off and had to push through all the waiting people and then trucks were going in and out unloading containers. The foot passengers were just waiting in line for some time and just entering in batches. Then suddenly the trucks stopped and everyone moved en masse in via the vehicle entry. While still in the vehicle bay the doors were up and we were moving. The luggage was left in certain areas depending on which island you were travelling to. If you have a cabin you need to go to reception to get the keycard. For departure they come to the cabin to remind you to get ready and then you all go down to the vehicle bay and wait while the ship docks and then endure the piercing siren as the doors open. Disembarking is quick. At Naxos we took a little time to find a taxi but could have walked into the town centre. The ship was nowhere near full. I did not really see why we had to arrive early for the boat as it takes only a few minutes to collect your ticket if you have booked online and then you just wait in line for some time. We decided to have lunch and sit at the restaurant till the cars had all come off. There is not much to do at the port at Santorini but there are several restaurants. Overall the experience went smoothly and was quite cheap.
"Egeo forever"
I'm travelling with my wife with this ferry company since many years. Every time is perfect
"crossing naxos/santorini"
relaxing trip, good value for money, highly recommended
"Excellent choice of transport"
This was not the first time we travelled with Blue Star Ferries and the reason is simple. They are by far the best and most reliable ferry company operating in the Greek waters. Timely departures, nice and clean vessels with friendly staff. So, it´s value for money. We will for sure book with Blue Star Ferries next time we go to the Greek islands.
"trip to Naxos"
We started from Piraeus towards Naxos. The ferry was carrying the same name as the island we were reaching, it was very large and equipped with good facilities. I want to report the confusion and the lack of organization in the arrangement of the suitcases. You could divide the luggage area depending on the destination. Thanks to the calm sea it has been a beautiful transfer, a small cruise in the Aegean. I highly recommend it.
"My ferry trip to Paros from Athens (Piraeus)"
Excellent efficient service. Boarding and unloading all went smoothly, picking up the ticket at the port was all simple and had a good time on the ferry as well. Staff look after you here. Nice one Blue Ferries!
"all perfect"
all perfect. tickets withdrawn at the ticket office at Piraeus. ferries on schedule
