Named after the classic Swedish book, the TT-Line's first Green Ship Nils Holgersson is one of the most modern and environmentally sound ships in the Balti Sea, providing you with an excellent travelling experience. Onboard facilities include a Casino, restaurants, TT-Line Shop, Family Lounge, 1200sqm outdoor deck and a Wellness centre with a Sauna.
Onboard you will find 239 en-suite cabins in a choice of modern and comfortable inside cabins, outside cabins with sea view or VIP cabins with sea view. The cabins offer space for up to 4 people, are partially barrier-free or suitable for pets. Special cabins are also available for passengers with allergies. All cabins are located above the car decks. Smoking is not permitted in the cabins.
Whether you choose a buffet or a dish from the varied menu, you will be spoilt with delicious Swedish specialities, modern snacks, and many other delicacies. In the beautiful restaurants, the cosy coffee lounge or a bar with great atmosphere, you can enjoy the crossing with the best view of the Baltic Sea with wonderful food and refreshing drinks! On the Nils Holgersson you can get coffee and cake in the bars as well as a cocktail in the evening.
In the TT-Line Shop on the Nils Holgerssona, you will find a wide range of cosmetics, spirits, tobacco products and confectionery, fashion, and accessories as well as typical Swedish elk products.
You will enjoy the cosy atmosphere on the new Green Ship Nils Holgersson, equipped with natural colours and a well-thought-out lighting concept. The outdoor deck with an area of around 1,200m² offers enough space and seating areas to relax. In addition to the diverse entertainment programmes, you will also find many areas where you can unwind during your voyage. There is a fitness centre with a gym, a whirlpool and a sauna. On this Green Ship, 32 EV charging stations are available. You will experience sustainable travel, with charging your electric car during the crossing for the rest of your journey.
Children are well catered for on board the Nils Holgersson with a large, dedicated play area for children, which parents can view from the lounge area. During the high season there are also entertainment programmes. Children up to the age of 6 can eat for free in the restaurant, plus dishes on the special children's menu are half price.
The Nils Holgersson is suitable for passengers with limited mobility as well as for passengers with a wheelchair. The upper decks are directly accessible from the car deck via large lifts. Specially adapted cabins are also available.

"General review"
Dear Sir, Madam, My sons 13-11 years old enjoyed the trip but my little son had a bad experience. He put his iPad, Samsung A 10 at charging near the window where we were sitting opposite the entrance of the duty free shop and he went to the toilet for five minutes, when he came back, the iPad was stolen. We suspected a man who sat near the window and the iPad for two minutes and left and several other people saw him sitting and moving from the place. We couldn't do any thing and we asked the shop person what to do and said we can't do anything. I claimed to the reception about it and left a message with names and telephone number. I wonder if you can help me with this, if there is a camera system to look at or other ways. I don't want my sons to have bad impression. Thank you for your concern, Maan Alsabbagh 0769369347

Excellent trip. Self checkin was easy ,ship was quickly loaded and great inside with good eating opportunities and good seating. Bit scary with our motorhome amongst the lorries but we see one of the first to get off so worth it.

We travelled by TT-Line ferry from Rostock to Trelleborg along with our two dogs - one small and the other really big. And we were really worried about its comfort, because we have read at official TT Line site, that dogs are allowed only muzzled and on open decks. And the crossing should last about six hours - so quite long in an uncomfortable place and position. But the reality occured to be absolutely different - the staff welcomed not just us but our dogs as well and let us stay at any place of our choice but the restaurant. We were not the only one with dogs, there were ar least five other on the same deck inside. So great thanks to TT Line staff!!! The one and only space for improvement was (as usual on ferries) the quality of buffet. Everything smells and tastes almost the same...

As point of me the buffer service was good but little expensive specially for the family. if it come to 10 Euro it would be better and it causes to encourage the people to travel along with TT line.

I travelled with my family from Trelleborg to Travemünde and the trip was pretty good and pleasant. Departure and arrival were very punctual. The ship was very friendly to the kids. There were some interesting activities for the children and this thing made the time running quickly and our kid didn't get bored at all. I precisely recommend this trip especially for the families with kids.

It was really easy to make the reservation for me on Direct Ferries web side. Mentioned web page is organized as very transparent source of information with an excellent section for payment. There are no ballast information on that web page at all. Even advertisement part of web page is very decent. I am looking forward to organize my next trip with Generally speaking I have never found better server for ferry ticket reservation like Direct Ferries.
"Summer trip from Malmo to Travemunde"
As our 11-year old son loves large ships, we travelled back from Sweden to Germany by TT-line, on the Nils Holgersson. For making it all worthwhile as an experience, and not just a trip, we booked the panorama suite, with great views (270 degrees all around!). It was really worth it, relaxing in the suite, walking around on the decks, enjoying lunch in the restaurant (great value for money!!). The 9 hour trip went by in no-time!

Excellent alternative and cheaper than travel overland. There was also the animation for kids (in germany) and they had so much fun for all the crossing. Excellent experience, we will do it again!

"An unforgettable holiday "
Had a fantastic holiday again thanks to TT line. After spending a few restful days in the beautiful surroundings of Rostock, we sailed to Trelleborg. A crossing of 5 hrs 30 mins, just long enough to just enjoy relax and enjoy yourself. Everything was perfectly arranged and due to unforseen circumstances, the ship left somewhat later than planned but the captain managed to make sure we arrive on time. Very friendly staff. Nothing beats that! Fast, easy and also affordable.

A very good experience for us - we travelled by car with two children aged 9 and 11. Check in was amazingly quick and we were let on the ship in good time before it sailed, giving us plenty of time to check out the facilities. Had our evening meal in the bar area with a great front view (bar had a snack menu with a few small dishes and snacks to choose between). We chose a more spacious cabin, which was worth the price for the extra space and front view. We were very happy with the service and will certainly use the same ship also next time.

Super decision to take to Sweden the long ferry from Travemünde to Trelleborg and Back: On the way Peter Pan (during the day) with a great children's program, on the return trip Nils Holgersson without children-program (low season), but with enough to do on the ship, the our children (5 and 7 years), the time could be short. Again at any time!

We experienced with TT-Line Nils Holgersson a great ride across the Baltic Sea. Although children thought beforehand, these 7 hours seem boring to them, they also had great fun at the crossing. A one-man band has shortened the time and unlimited lunch buffet was awesome. Finally, the purchase was in the shop an experience beyond compare.

We have used TT line several times and always had very good experience. When you get to the cabin deck there is crew member on hand to help passengers. Cabins are basic but do the job, modern and always clean. Catering area very good. Ships are modern. On this recent trip the ship's Steward organised and helped me and my disabled wife to our disabled cabin which was much appreciated. Highly recommended
