Naviera Armas Volcan De Tinamar

Operated by Naviera Armas on the route

Volcan De Tinamar was first put into service in 2011; imposing itself at 175 metres in length and with a beam of just over 28 metres, it is one of the largest ships in the fleet. The vessel covers the routes travelling between Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote and Huelva, typically traversing at a speed of around 26 knots.

Onboard Cabins / Reserved Seating

A variety of cabins are available on board the vessel, catering for the needs of every type of passenger. Simplistic double cabinets are perfect for couples travelling together, with cabins on the inside and outside of the boat. Quadruple cabinets are more suited towards families, and for anyone longing to indulge in luxury, suite rooms are a very cosy way to rest, with covers and meals provided. Televisions are supplied in the cabins, as well as in the hallways which are covered by rows of armchairs. VIP chairs are available for a small fee, with free water and blankets.

Onboard Food and Drink

The cuisine varies depending on the route; on crossings to Huelva you can purchase a voucher which entitles you to breakfast, lunch and dinner at the self service system. On routes to the Canary Islands, there is a restaurant that serves meals at set times, with a three course meal often supplied at lunch and dinner. Should you be feeling peckish after or before your meal, sweet and savoury snacks are on offer in the cafeteria.

Onboard Shopping

You can purchase wholesale quantities of cigarettes, cologne and food at the duty free store, with many passengers taking advantage of the reduced prices. Gift items for friends and family are also generally good value for money.

Additional Onboard Facilities

The ship has become so popular in the summer because of its array of onboard facilities; an outdoor pool is a particular highlight, especially considering the pool bar is open at all times. To enjoy the sun outside of the water, a hammock area is the perfect place to enjoy the heat amidst a sea breeze, and why not browse the WiFi whilst getting a tan? As enjoyable as the pool and hammock area can be, relaxing isn't to everyone's tastes, so to work up a sweat head to the gym with high quality work out equipment.

Travelling with Children

Travel cots are supplied should you be travelling with very young children and intend to catch a little bit of sleep on your journey. If your kids are a little bit older, they will love the play area, though each child must be accompanied by an adult at all times. In the dining areas, parents can request a highchair for their child to ensure they eat in a safe environment.

Accessibility

To transport from the car garage to the decking areas, hop in one of the elevators that are simple to use. They also elevate passengers between the upper floors.

Please Note: Whilst we have taken great care in making our Volcan De Tinamar guide as accurate as possible, onboard facilities, services and entertainment may vary depending on the date and time of year that you travel, facilities mentioned may change without notification and ferry companies reserve the right to operate vessels other than those mentioned at time of booking without prior notification.
