Naviera Armas Volcan De Tijarafe

Operated by Naviera Armas on the route

Volcan De Tijarafe was first introduced to the public as part of Naviera Armas' fleet in February 2007, quickly becoming a favourite vessel on the sailing from Gran Canaria to Fuerteventura. Up to 1000 people can board the ship at any one time, with the boat stretching to a length of 154 metres and travelling to a speed of 24.5 knots.

Onboard Cabins / Reserved Seating

There are 206 beds situated in 56 cabins, ensuring there is ample accommodation on board for every type of passenger. Families can share a deluxe cabin, comprised of single beds, whilst smaller cabins are available for couples or small friendship groups. Endless seating areas decorate the decking area, with rows of comfortable armchairs adorning the hall and more relaxing sofas and chairs in the lounges.

Onboard Food and Drink

A restaurant and bar is open at certain times, serving delicious food and covering a wide range of cuisines. For constant nourishment, there is a cafeteria that supplies sweet and savoury snacks throughout the entirety of the crossing. The restaurant area can be quite formal, so for more relaxed dining, there is a self service system as well as a bar next to the outdoor pool.

Onboard Shopping

Purchase some reduced priced cologne, cigarettes or food in the duty free store. Also, you can buy refreshments and gift items in the shops.

Additional Onboard Facilities

The obvious standout feature is the outdoor pool which is understandably a very popular area in the summer when the sun shines down on the ship. To accompany the pool for entertainment, there is WiFi on board, which you can browse whilst relaxing in the hammock area. Animals can be taken on board, though will have to be caged throughout the entirety of the sailing.

Travelling with Children

Children can be kept entertained by the play area, though they must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For the dining areas, there are highchairs supplied so your kids can eat in a safe manner.

Accessibility

There are elevators to transport you to upper decks from the car garage, as well as to manoeuvre around the floors of the ship.
