Volcan de Timanfaya was first put into service on the 2nd of October 2004, with its modern facilities and innovative design redefining the fleet of Naviera Armas. The mammoth vessel, sitting at a length of 143 metres and with a beam of jsut over 24 metres, is the primary ship on the route between Gran Canaria and Fuertenventura. Such is the size of the boat, up to 1000 passengers can fit on the fully furnished decks and impressive amenities.
There are 56 cabins on board, ideal for families hoping to relax together as they embark on their voyage. 206 comfortable beds are also available, coming in a bunk bed or single bed form, with spacious rooms which can host a bag or two. In the halls, many comfy arm chairs and large leather seats are made for passengers to sit and bask in the cosy surroundings.
For your set meals in the day, a self service system is available at breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering a wide range of cuisine as well as hot and cold beverages. A restaurant is also on board, serving food at certain times, and for constant nourishment, head to the cafeteria which provides sweet and savoury snacks throughout the entirety of the sailing.
A duty free shop stores the classic items; cigarettes, cologne and food can all be purchased it at discount prices. Alternatively, gift items and clothing is on offer for your browsing.
A hammock area is the perfect place to lie down as the waves of the sea rock you back and forth. For a more energetic experience, a swimming pool is open in the summer months, allowing you the opportunity to indulge in a refreshing dip whilst topping up your tan. After swimming a few lengths, catch up with friends or browse the web as you take advantage of the WiFi.
A children's play area is on board, so you can keep your kids entertained for an hour or two. In the restaurant and cafeteria, a highchair is available for children to stay safe as they enjoy their food.
Elevators are on board to transport passengers from the car garage to the upper decks, as well as providing the chance to access all floors.
