"Hell on earth"
Firstly Bari port is a nightmare. It is so badly organised. The ferry was over 3 1/2 hours late. There is no where to eat and a tiny kiosk selling very little. It was freezing all night and noisy. Everyone pushed and shoved down one staircase to the car deck. Absolutely vile.

from durazzo to bari ,11:30 h travelling , and were very calm sea .... return from bari to durazzo 8:30 hours of travelling , and very windy night and wavey sea.... i wrote because i dont understand why??? overall very good trip and company.....all the best
"Below average"
The ship is just barely ok. Very old and poor service. We were 4 people in 1 cabin, and they had put only 1 small towel and only one tiny soap. So why is there a shower? The draining whole was cocered in hair and mold, it was discusting... Otherwise sheets were clean and AC was working. Check-in was done by one person onky, so lines were huge!!! They could have put more!!! On arrival in Bari it took almost 30 minutes for cars to start disembarking, which was not fun in that heat!! Disorganized. Not good, other boats are better for this journey...
"No customer attitude "
Traveling back from Durrës we had the problem of the age of our daughter: she is 12 and had to pay as adult. When you buy the ticket online and give in the correct date of birth, you should get the correct category. After all the attitude of the personal in Durres harbor is unfriendly. We felt treaded more as sheep’s than as customers. However we chose the ferry for ecological reasons, to avoid flying, which would have been faster, friendlier and less expensive!
"Good ship, disappointing operators."
Ship designed to a high standard but many shortcomings. They should state when boarding commences e.g for 22:00 boarding commenced at 19:45 but it would have been good to have known beforehand. Crew lacked enthusiasm and looked bored - did not interact well with passengers (not all but most). Food in cafeteria poor (at least the spaghetti bolognese I had which was of school canteen standard and I would not like to think what exactly the meat was). Cabins not very well soundproofed so disturbed by noisy children next door. No shower gel in cabin just soap. No glasses in cabin and only very small flimsy plastic glasses available throughout ship in cafeteria and bar! No draft beer available. Duty free shop was more like a small stock room with a few empty shelves and boxes dumped on floor. Outside deck space was good as was the panorama lounge forward and above bridge. Ship was 30 minutes late arriving - cruising at a leisurely 13 knots overnight. All in all a well built ship starting to show age but could be improved a lot if she was better run.

My brother and I had a lovely time in the cheap rooms below deck. Dark and quiet, it felt like we were sleeping in a little space capsule! No gasoline smell or anything--don't know why people pay so much to sleep above the cars.

"Travel between Bari and Durres "
We were looking forward to a trip between Bari and Durres - leaving Bari on the 3rd September (at 11.00) and returning from Durres on the 6th September (at 23.00). This was a very stressful experience. The first difficulty was in collecting tickets from an office nowhere near the ferry terminal. We had to ask a cab to wait for 20 minutes while we queued. On arriving at the terminal (2 hours ahead of departure as requested) we were told the ferry was delayed but given no other information. The Ventouris 'office' window displayed a sign saying 'no tickets, no information'. We had to wait five hours (with zero information) before the ferry left. On boarding the ferry we were told the canteen had opened but 20 minutes later that it closed. We were therefore unable to obtain food for what was a nine-hour journey. The member of staff we spoke to was also very rude - her only response was 'didn't you hear the message'. On the return trip (at Durres), we queued in uncomfortable conditions for 90 minutes, cleared customs and then were told our tickets (which were valid for the outward journey) were not correct - as we needed a boarding card. We had been given no information about this (and it was a totally different process to the outward journey). We were therefore forced to go through the whole procedure again. Whilst conditions on board the ferry were fine (apart from the lack of food from Bari) we were deeply unhappy with the service provided. We felt treated like cargo rather than paying customers. We feel that this was unacceptable service at any price and particularly one that to all intents and purposes is more expensive than flying (which guarantees a standard of comfort, customer service and information).
"Ferry durres to bari "
Very bad , I didn't get my email confirmation o the day I did the changes and pay for the ticket. so I had to buy a new ticket for the same trip , it lives me with spending €290 with direct Feri, and all I get a confirmation on 14:50 on Tuesday, im so disappointed with direct ferries .

I travelled with my family to Durres Albania . It was a great experience and we were all happy with everything .The room and beds were all nice and clean. I 100% Recommend to anyone and I would definitely travel again.
"Holiday"
Traveling to Bari was a nice experience, but turning back was bad experience! Even I paid for the first class room, the climatization in the room doesn’t work. The problem was in whole back part of the boat, so a lot of our neighbors has the same problem! The boat reception was empty from the moment we take the key for the room, so we have nobody to complain!!! The lack of personal was one of the problems, I suppose!!!

"Nice experience"
It was a nice experience to travel with Ventouris Ferries. The only disappointment was the way how to get the tickets. I have booked and paid through internet and when arrived at Bari port I found out that I need to travel again to the offices to have the ferry tickets. The Tickets boots must be near the ship because passengers without a means of transport it is a big hassle for them or other option is that you can get the tickets and check in through internet.

Having travelled from England and P&O Ferries being organised going lane by lane. It was so disorganised at Italy, cars were pulling out from anyway. And the same coming off, passengers stood anyway waiting for their cars. Least at Albania we had barriers and kids were abit safer.
