Along with its sister ships Bitha and Athara, Janas is 214 metres in length and 26 metres wide enabling it to carry around 2700 passengers and up to 900 vehicles in its large garage. On board you can select a variety of accommodation from any of its 320 cabins and first or second class seating. Facilities are mainly found on deck 6 which include 2 bars, cinema, children’s play area, self-service shop and restaurant.

One more trip to Sardinia this time aboard of Tirrenia Janas. Everything about this Ferry is old and run down. Few areas were boarded. Looks like it really suffered during COVID times and never recovered. Worst of it all was a la carta restaurant. What a waste of money. Officially worst food you will have on the way to Italy or in Italy. Absolutely awful and very expensive for what it is. Not sure if that is normal (I wasn't of that), we arrive in good time, but crew let us out of the ship hour and a half later. All in all Ferry service did what they suppose to do. Just expect bare minimum.

I have used your company many times on my journey by car from Genoa to Porto Torres and return..Always a good service.Unfortunately this year my wife fell and broke her femur badly 2 days before my sailing date--7 weeks in hospital. I called your office and asked if it would be possible t move my booking to a date in September when i hoped my wife would have recovered. I was told you would get back to me in due course. I heard nothing and lost my £490. I hope to go again in Sept with a further outlay of £490. Not very happy.

The ship was quite plush and there was lots of bookable reclining seating ( cabins were booked out when I got my ticket) I could’ve got one on board for 70 Euro’s but for one person that seemed very expensive Also I could’ve bought a ticket at the terminal for half the price that I paid direct ferries so I felt a bit miffed off The recliner wasn’t that comfy so I ended up sleeping on the floor - not a particularly good nights sleep

Hello I travelled with Tirrenia, gorgeous ship, clean and nice staff, but there is somenting bad: when I booked I selected 2 reserved seats but on board I was told that I selected 2 deck space, so I had to seat at the bar tables.

We are really happy this crossing. Cleaning and services were good. But too many free dogs where going around the common areas, and the carpet was really poor and old. Coffee cost too much.

On the outbound on the 18/07/14 we couldn't sleep because of the uncomfortable and old seats. That's why people prefer to sleep on the carpet. The common area (bar, game room and toilets) was clean. Only who booked with a deck space and paid less, could sleep on the sofas at the bar. So they paid less to have a better accomodation. Boarding time needs to be improved. So, in my opinion the trip was not too bad but they all need more organisation.

I want to report that during the trip, a whole family: father, mother, son, daughter and boyfriend, they had their sneakers on the couch in front of them and on the tables and no one of the staff did something. I think you should force the staff to be more present in these cases with authority. otherwise all right
"Perfectly punctual - badly organised at the restaurant"
We should have been given a sticker for the motorbike in Genoa and board. It's how it works everywhere else. No, there we had to get our ticket in an office on the second floor of the building. It's not practical at all and the ferry was leaving shortly afterwards. The schedule was respected though, it was perfect! Another negative aspect is the lack of organisation of the staff in the restaurant, the dishes are running out quickly, plus they are not very good (the chicken was barely cooked). For breakfast, there was one person working and the rest of them was watching her.

The journey is confortable and the staff is very attentive to the passengers' demands. I had some panini for diner at the bar and the value for money was average, but the important thing is to have something good to eat. I didn't try the restaurant. I RECOMMEND THIS FERRY++++

Not the first time, passengers with children have to deal with the dogs in the common areas, they are without muzzles and they use the armchairs, and they leave the corridors of the ship dirty, this is not right for the people working on board and even for the other passengers, I hope you will take action on this matter by providing an extra space for them, in an another journey with Moby we didn't have this problem, because they sorted out the situation.

Only improvement would be for announcements to be made in English as well as Italian. A great way to get to Sardinia. A good experience especial as pot buses pick you up from main gate & drop you at train station. Ferry is well equipped like a mini cruise ship in the lounge area, pool, restaurant as well as a cafe. Go an Enjoy.

The booking process was quick and accurate, the only flaw is that we had to pick up tickets at the port office, but overall an excellent service from Direct Ferries. Regarding Tirrenia ferry Janas as usual there is the risk of hibernate in the lounge. Everyone wonders why the air conditioning has to be kept at such low temperatures! I suggest to take jacket, trousers and blankets if possible!!!

It's my first time that I travel with this company, I had a very good experience for the both journeys, Perfect facilities, helpful staff. The only negative aspect was that I didn't find the bathrooms of the ferry so clean, but the price of the ticket was really cheap in compare to the other companies.
