"Fab crossing "
Brilliant ship and great service
"Kalliste journey very smooth"
Confusing embarkation procedure and abrupt staff. Not enough information and signage.
"Ferry to Sardinia"
Great way to cross the Med. The downside of La Meridionale is they are mainly organised around travelling to Corsica, and don't give enough regard to the needs of those going on to Sardinia.
"Outstanding support in a tight spot."
We are elderly travellers. We were on route back to the UK. We had tickets for a train from Marseille St Charles and found that we were very tight on time to get there. When we asked the staff on reception for help, we received immediate support. The lady ordered us a taxi and arranged a priority disembarkation for us. We are so impressed with that outstanding support for us. And we caught the train! Can you please contact that person and thank her from us. Thank you Meridionale.
"Porto Torres to propriano "
Poor guidance to the ferry terminal, no food or beverages on board for the whole trip
"Guess work"
No signs for the company in porto torres! Or were the ship may dock, when it does arrive nothing to tell you how to get a boarding card for your trip, you have to go to the tourist office, when found out, guess work where you queue for boarding,
"Our trip to Sardinia "
I should have realised there would be problems when we booked our ferry and we were sent an email saying they could not confirm our booking as system was down. The money was taken out of our account immediately and after 24 hours, we still had not received confirmation of our booking. We then received an email in French, which was difficult to decipher. We phoned Directferries and spoke to a young man who was fairly inefficient and inexperienced and it took him 30 minutes to find out whether we had a booking or not. He finally told us our booking was confirmed and sent us a confirmation email. When we got to the port at Marseille we were told that we didn’t have a booking and could not board the boat. We then phoned Directferries in France and we asked someone from the Ferry company to speak to them. The Ferry saying we had no booking and they had not been paid. After much discussion and around 25 mins on the phone (our mobile) the Ferry company agreed to take us. On our return, when we arrived at Porto Torres we had not been informed that we had to go to the maritime office first to pick up our tickets. The office is in a completely different part of the Port, over 1 km away, and no signs or directions how to get there. Once again, Directferries should have told us and given us instructions how to get there. We found Directferries an inefficient and difficult company to deal with. I would definitely NOT recommend them. On the contrary I would advise people to avoid them.
