"Disappointing journey"
We were due to sail at 19.00 so arrived at the port at 17.00 to be told the ferry has been delayed until midnight, we had to go and report back at 21.30. We Received no prior notification of this so had to spend 4 1/2 hours killing time with no apology, compensation or advice only an extremely rude security person at the port gate. When we arrived back at 21.30 it was chaos and it took until 22.45 to get on the ferry. It did not depart until 00.30. However we did arrive in Marseille ahead of time which was a bonus. The same security person was also taking pictures of the chaos. I can’t comment on the catering as we went straight to our cabin and left for the car on arrival. Cabins appeared ok but on closer inspection hairs and dirt under the mattresses, bathrooms clean and functional. I would have expected to have been notified or compensated in some way for such a long delay.

Really enjoyed our overnight sailing on the Girolata. Very good looking ship, comfortable cabin, friendly staff and good food and drink. Being able to board and access our cabin 2 hours before we sailed was a bonus.

wow quite an experience! how a ship that big can be hit at the bows by waves like that is quite frightening I wasn't actually sick in the night but I tried... my advice DONT get up lie still. You cant moan about a crossing because of the weather we all got home safe...

This was lovely and very convenient, food was delicious and the whole trip should have been very relaxing but there was no air conditioning in our 4 person cabin (don't know if it was broken or is always like that) so we roasted and didn't sleep very well.
