What is there to do in Vieste?

Vieste promenade looks out across the sea like a young girl leaning over a balcony, soaking in the beauty of her surroundings. Seldom places in the south of Italy are as beautiful as Vieste promenade, especially in the evening when the moonlight reflects off the whitewashed houses and deep blue water. Such is the allure of the coastline, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the entirety of Vieste’s appeal was on its shores, but head inland and you’ll find an array of quaint streets, charming cafes and delicious restaurants serving quintessential Italian dishes. The archaic infrastructure that adorns the Old Town is a modest collection of narrow alleys and ancient architecture. In the summer months the town can become a hub of tourists and locals mixing effortlessly in a stream of joviality and warmth that matches the fine weather.
