The port of Uig lies on the west coast of the Trotternish peninsula on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Uig is both an ideal gateway and base to explore the beautiful Isle of Skye, with frequent crossings to and from Lochmaddy and Tarbert every day. The Uig ferry terminal is situated at the northern end of the A87 in the village of Idrigil, so it’s within easy reach from most towns on Skye and the northern mainland. There is also a bus stop located outside the terminal building next to the ticket office. The terminal itself has a large, seated waiting room, a public telephone and toilet facilities, ensuring your journey is as comfortable as possible from the start. This particular area of Skye is renowned for its magnificent rock formations and captivating historical landmarks, so be sure to see as many as you can during your visit.
