"Excellent Ferry Spoilt By UK Border Force Delays"

We booked a cabin for the first time for our 4 hour crossing and after seemless boarding, we were really pleased with the facilities provided in the cabin. It was the first time that we had booked a cabin and we were very pleased with our decision. We booked a 4 berth cabin with it's own shower and WC. We will definately be booking a cabin next time we have a fairly long crossing. Unfortunately, although the ferry arrived at Newhaven exactly on schedule. It took us 90 mins to get off the ferry and through border control. This spoiled what had been an excellent experience with DFDS Seaways. The border controls are totally out of their control and it is a shame that these delays happened.

"A pleasant trip - would recommend!"

Great voyage. Comfortable cabins, clean, and well equipped for a nap and a shower. Particular shout out to the awesome men who directed the cars - they even danced for us as we disembarked! Only down side was it took a while hour to get off the boat and put of customs when returning to England - too long for young children to wait in a car before starting another long journey home. Otherwise brilliant. Will use again!

"Dieppe to Newhaven"

The boat is great. But disembarkation at both ends is so chaotic. Staff in France pushing ahead of customers in Dieppe and confusion at Newhaven end re bags and checks. Could be easily improved.

"Can't fault the ferry but the help desk need training"

Both ferries are very prompt and can't fault the shop or the staff on it. The staff on the help desk are a different story so rude and unhelpful. My 3 year old has better manners.
