What is there to do in Terracina?

Snuggled in between the prominent cities of Rome and Naples, Terracina is a refreshing escape for those longing for a getaway from the busier cities. Nearly the entirety of Italy’s shoreline is comprised of charming beach towns and cities, offering pleasant trattorias, breathtaking architecture and gloriously golden sands, and Terracina provides the quintessential Italian experience. The apex in terms of aesthetics and height comes from Mount Circeo, affording wonderful views of the surrounding landscape, especially at night when the sun sets upon the myriad of colourful houses - the perfect spot for enviable photos. Mount Circeo may bogart the limelight for the city, however, much like many Italian cities, the delicious food holds much of the appeal. Fine restaurants emblazon the town squares and market stalls offer the opportunity to haggle for fresh produce at discount prices. Not many experiences can triumph above a sumptuous meal whilst sat outside, enjoying the gorgeous weather. After treating yourself to some classic Italian cuisine, head to one of the frivolous bars to dance until the early hours of the morning.
