"A dated banger but it did the job. Food on board way overpriced though!"
The ship 🛳 has a nice paint job & it’s good inside, a bit dated though. I enjoyed all of it but did find the food overpriced, €3.90 for a porridge 🥣 is steep📶
"Very nice ride"
We enjoyed the ferry coming and going from Helsinki to St. Petersburg. The staff was friendly, the room was good and the activities on board were nice.
"Excellent Stay⭐️👍🏻"
It was best stay with comfortable cabin room
"Great trip "
An amazing opportunity to go to Russia 🇷🇺 St Petersburg visa free and helped by St Peterline, booked through direct ferries ⛴ couldn’t be simpler 👍👍
"St Petersburg to Tallinn—"
I enjoyed the trip. Just wished the receptionist could have explained what the cinema film of the evening was.. a Horror Film based on a Stephen King Story. Which included vibrating chairs , a special added effect. The presentation was average .. a good try to deal with two language and quite amusing when the checkout turned into a chicken out. The singer of the evening was a bit cheesy for my taste but he had a good voice. Overall I had a smooth journey and slept well.
"Fast, cheap and simple"
Enjoying the view and the boat, a good workout and swim/sauna and healthy dinner and breakfast in the bread and coffee restaurant on deck 6 - good service, neat and clean cabins, friendly, safe and good personel and easy to find the way around the boat, also entertainment and shopping if needed. Good pricing for the journey! Of course, this is a 30 year old boat, but well maintained. We traveled with a car as a family of 4. This was the cheapest offer by far. Internet is extra but there is reception during the whole Stockholm archipelago.
"Great Experience"
Great experience and nice travel by Moby
"St Petersburg to Helsinki "
Sailing was excellent. Ship has quality facilities you would expect. Check in at St Petersburg was chaos. We arrived 2.5 hr early and queue for security was 200m. Took at least 1.5 hrs to clear security then check in. Needed a stiff drink on board. Ship arrived 4hrs late which suited us, but others were going for flights
"Good overall experience "
Good overall experience. Food value for money was on the contrary not that good. The real bad point though was the management of disembarkment which seemed to take forever. We were held behind ropes while passengers from others decks were called to disembark, passing right by us. I stood there for more than 1 hour. Mental Hero. Really not the best way to end an experience.
"Smoke smelling cabin"
My room had a constant smell of smoke and I’m not one. It was coming through the vent and so made me feel sick throughout the night. My bed-side light was flashing and the bathroom was well used and the tap was a bit broken. Not great, but other than my cabin the trip was pleasant.
"Mini Happy Cruise"
NA
"Tallinn to Stockholm"
A six-hour delay leaving Tallinn because of technical problems. Knock on effect on our stay in Stockholm Very disappointing.
"Tallinn to Stockholm"
The ship was fine but the booking and information given by Direct Ferries was all wrong. Direct Ferries told us to check in 180 minutes before departure. The St Peter Line started checking in 30 minutes before departure... I booked a deluxe hut for 3 people. We got a basic hut for two and one got a deluxe hut with breakfast. I will think twice before using Direct Ferries again.
"Mother Russia"
Yes everything was good entertainment food plenty of choice
"Bad experience"
The boat is old, the cabin crew bearly speaks english and except for only a few, they are not nice to tourist. The bathroom had bad smell. The only good thing I can say is that the breakfast was good. For worst, the process of getting out took like 1 hour and more, no one was explain us what was happening making everything very unpleasant. I do not recommend traveling with St. Peter.
"Just admit it - Russian bureaucracy sucks"
The Moby/SPL ship and company are do the best they can with what they're trying to do and with the resources they have. The ship is well worn but also well run (mostly). The biggest problem is the need to be honest with connections (Russian arrival/departure). The sponsored short-term tourist visa was a great idea that has yet to be properly implemented. Here, lessons could be learned from the Allegro train folks who do visa processing on-board. SPL should hire a few officials to process visa/entry during the sailing so people can simply disembark with entry approval (versus a 4 hour queuing). Othrwise, you need to change the disembarcation process to stage the process and allow people to remain on board until their designated time.
"Waiting for reimbursement"
We booked a return ferry from Stockholm to St Petersburg and paid in advance. On the outward journey we were checked-in without problem Returning a fortnight later and using the same ticket/reference number the desk at St Petersburg could find no record of receiving a reservation or payment for the return journey. We were required to pay again and told to take the matter up with Direct Ferries in the UK. Fortunately there were still cabins available but it was alarming to think of what would have happened if the ship was full and our Russian visas expiring that day. Returning on the 11 September we posted details of the problem to Direct Ferries with postal and email addresses requesting reimbursement. To date we have heard nothing from the Company.
"Tallinn ferry"
A very dated ship, made to feel like a prisoner by the Eastern staff
"Exciting stay"
The cruise is not those promoting luxurioius style. The cruise is a bit old but in turn give us a different travel experience. Feeding seagull on the top deck, running along in the big open deck with my kid, I believe all these wont be allowed in those ordinary luxury cruise trip It is a very happy experience and unforgetable trip. Particularly good for those not too care about facility and service.
"Путешествие на пароме Princess Anastasia (St Peter Lines)"
Все было замечательно, персонал дружелюбный, чистота и пунктуальность, нам очень понравилось.
"Not good"
This ferry will get you from a to b which is I suppose is what it is about. However if you want a sleep, forget it, as there is loud disco music pumping in to the bedrooms from the floor above. When asked, customers services about the bedroom actually feeling like you were in the middle of a loud disco and vibrating with the thud of the drums and bass the reply was unsympathetic and that you should expect this in the 'category' of cabin booked. That I could not sleep in the room I booked to sleep was apparently my problem! This ferry is dated and attempts to sell overpriced food and 'duty free' ( far cheaper on the High Street) without a shop to buy basics such as water, sandwiches etc., Avoid if possible and use the train or bus instead
"Princess Anastasia , St Peterline"
We had a lovely trip from Stockholm to Helsinki. Our A2 cabin was clean and comfortable, with a good shower on the en-suite. We had a very good meal in the New York Restaurant on board, watching the islands of the Archipelago from the window. Magical. To top it all there was a Russia win in the World Cup, so the mood on the ship was happy! Many thanks to captain and crew.
"Nice ferry trip"
All in all the ferry trip was very nice. However, a few points could easily be improved : information on address for the place for check-in in St.Petersburg, and warning about the extremely lenghty control procedures when you travel by own car.
