MV Red Eagle

Operated by Red Funnel on the East Cowes Southampton route

Built in 1996 by Ferguson Shipbuilders of Glasgow, Red Eagle was the third Raptor Class Ro-Pax ferries to join the Red Funnel fleet. With capacity for 892 passengers and 200 cars on three deck levels, the Red Eagle makes 4,000 Solent crossings each year, racking up an incredible 45,000 miles annually. In 2004, Red Eagle was refitted and extended by Remontawa in Gdansk, and in winter 2018 the ferry underwent an extensive interior refresh, giving it a bright, modern upgrade.

Please Note: Whilst we have taken great care in making our MV Red Eagle guide as accurate as possible, onboard facilities, services and entertainment may vary depending on the date and time of year that you travel, facilities mentioned may change without notification and ferry companies reserve the right to operate vessels other than those mentioned at time of booking without prior notification.
