"Pride of Rotterdam "
Travelled out on pride of hill Travelled back pride of Rotterdam 2nd ship much better service in brasserie Good ferry experience
"Bathroom not cleaned!!!"
We were worried about travelling in light of coronavirus and were assured p&o were doing everything to minimise risk of spread if germs. We were therefore horrified upon checking into our room to find the bathroom had not been cleaned we were utterly disgusted. The staff moved us to another room but we did not feel we had confidence in their cleanliness to risk eating the buffet for evening meal nor breakfast do paid £60 for nothing . After having being reassured cleanliness was a priority this was unacceptable!
"Antiquated WiFi Service"
The WiFi provision on the P&O ferries is extremely poor. I had a premium ticket on the way out and I was told that didn't provide WiFi, I had to pay for it. On the way back I had a Club ticket and was told that this allowed me 30 minutes only. Who on earth came up with such antediluvian thinking? When I did try to use the service on the Pride of York, it was running at less than 1MB a second. It took longer than 30 minutes to download a newspaper! A truly awful service.
"Booking cancelled at last minute "
The original booking to Bruges was cancelled with very little notice despite Luther travel arrangements being made such as accommodation. This added another two hours to an already long drive. It is also very worth mentioning our return crossing 5 weeks later was also cancelled with just a few days notice causing great inconvenience.
"Club Class Cabin"
The bathroom door hinge was loose and difficult to close. The room thermostat virtually impossible to alter ubless you stood on chair - a great Health & Safety risk.
"Cabins? Great. Other things less so."
Outward was fine... except for the food which was at best lacklustre. Inward my cabin was fantastic. Double plus bunks. Only me in it. Sadly the enjoyment was taken away by unruly children running up and down corridors until well past 10pm. The same happened with one of my trips last year too, which was why I chose the club class. In a quieter part of the ship apparently. There seemed to be no policing by crew. Regrettable. My advice? Book club class for the room quality. But don't expect a quiet evening.
"Didn’t go"
We booked this a few months ago and had a query. After emailing direct ferries twice with no response gave up.
"Fantastic service"
We travelled as 2 couples to Zeebrugge on the Pride of York. The buffet dinner is great quality and the staff do a fantastic job. We returned on the Pride of Bruge and found this to be slightly better service if that can be possible. On the downside we found disembarking to be slow but this is obviously a logistical issue that a guest may not full understand. Overall P&O really offer a good service.
"All good"
We were upgraded to a 4 bed room but aircon was stuck on. When we queried we were moved to another 4 bed - no question
"Trip to Bruges"
First time we'd taken a holiday like this instead of flying. Was a good experience. Easy process of parking and getting on board. Facilities on ferry very good: decent restaurants and bars. Not overcrowded. Cabin (club class) was spacious and comfortable
"Great way to travel pity about wifi"
We had a lovely crossing. My only complaint is the Wi-Fi. I paid to go on it, but then had to stand in a bar to use it. I'm not a drinker and had a long drive ahead of me so I felt out of sorts stood in a bar whilst everyone around me was getting drunk. I felt so uncomfortable that I didn't bother in then end and lost my money. Why on earth can't you get internet in the privacy of your cabin?
"Not profectional"
On the 6th November I took my partner and my mam to bruge as a belated birthday for my mam her bday 28th October but was my partners on the 6th November all was ok until we was on our way back from a lovely day in bruge we got our bording ticket my mam uses a walker as she can no walk far unaded due to this at passport control in zeebrugge passport control took my mam up in the lift my partner and myself took the stairs were we proceeded to the walk way from the doc to the ferry I asked the staff were my mam was they said she'd been taken up in the lift and will be with us shortly so my partner and my self proceded up the stairs were my mam meet us with a member of staff we boarded the ferry went got our key to our cabin put out stuff in and got ready to go have our tea at the restaurant buffet we had only jst sat down when a member of the ferry staff announced on the tanoy about the lady with the walking needs to go to reception I asked a member of staff about this and said it was my mam the lady said not to worry and to enjoy our meal then another announcement was made about a lady with the walker my partner went to the reception to ask as I sat in the resturant with my mam next thing is to ferry officials come in and behind my mam with my partner place there hand on my mams shoulder and ask her to go with them as she had passed passport control . "Great value "
Easy to book, excellent price
"Upgraded cabin"
Bruges - fantastic. Most staff on the boat very nice. Upgraded Club class room - awful - rattling loose door all night and no one around to sort it out, no sleep, ruined trip.
"ferry"
Clean ship ,staff lovely , everything on time , cabins a bit cramped and a funny judder all the way over night but on the whole 10/10 Merci
"Hull to Zebrugge"
Hull to Zebrugge
"Pride of York"
This ship is looking a bit tired in public areas and in the cabins If it was a hotel it would be a 3 star at best yet we pay the same price for the journey despite the quality of the ship It could do with a refurb or replacement
"Overnight crossing"
Pleased with the service we received onboard but a little disappointed with the breakfast the evening meal in the kitchen restaurant was really nice and I would recommend it
"Ferry Crossing "
The ferry was dated and the staff were not as friendly as previous experience going to Rotterdam. The room upgrade was good bigger and more space well worth the extra £16. The shower room on the return journey was dirty and have obtained photographs for customer service. The entertainment on thecreturn journey was far better than going, however the DJ was better vice versa as was the staff friendless
"Lovely"
I recommend this ferry. Good quality and service from the crew and no issues whatsoever
"Pride of Bruges"
The food was excellent,a huge choice ,the staff were helpful and very efficient, the cabin was very clean, looking forward to my next trip.
"Lack of flexibility and of communication is a big problem on this service"
I was booked on this service and drove down from Edinburgh. I encountered 3 accidents on a very stressful car trip - it was stop and go traffic almost all the way. I arrived at 17:20 (20 minutes late). and was told that I would not be allowed on the boat. This is well over an hour before sailing. I have been using this service for 30 years and was once late for similar reasons about 15 years ago. That time, I arrived less that 30 minutes before sailing but still was allowed to board when Norfolkline operated the service. Yesterday, I was booked into a club class cabin. The staff member at the kiosk said I would have to go to Rotterdam and that there was no club class available. I then had to pay £27.50 extra for a regular cabi on the Rotterdam service. I was very angry and upset, so I went to reception on the Rotterdam boat to complain. There, I discovered that there was plenty of club class accommodation available. The young ladies at reception were very kind and understanding, and changed my cabin for me. But this only happened because I was angry enough to complain. I am 65, and travel alone, as my husband died this year. Comfort and lack of stress are important to me when I have to travel. I feel that P&O has a long way to go in providing a user-friendly service. It needs to be more flexible when passengers are unavoidably delayed, and the service onshore should be better co-ordinated with the service onboard.
"Comfortable Trip to Zeebrugge "
The ship was nice, the bunk beds very comfortable. Meals paid for in advance were great. My only complaint was that there was no free WiFi. One could pay but then it was only available in the Cafe and bars (I think, I didn't go to the bars) but there was none in the dining room. Consequently I could not access it at all. This seems stingy given how good everything else is, no expense spared. Oh and the announcements, some important such as safety instructions were not able to be heard clearly in the cabins. Generally though I would recommend P&O.
"4th trip and will definitely do again! "
Easy and hassle free journey Hull to Zeebrugge return. Clean if fairly basic boat with all what you need. Enjoyable meal in the restaurant with attentive staff. Great content in the club cabin mini bar 👍
"Great trip"
Trying to cut down on flights and carbon footprint so decided to take ferry to Zeebrugge for a short break. What a relaxing way to travel, no bag scans or queues. The journey became part of the holiday rather. P&O staff were friendly and helpful and our cabin was spotless. I will definitely make the trip again and take the whole family next time.
"Couple on tour"
Very efficient loading & disembarking process. Very impressed. Clean comfy cabins that were ready as soon as we boarded. Helpful staff. Buffet selection in "The Kitchen" was superb as was the efficiency of the staff & great value. Entertainment provided for those wishing to enjoy.Ferry looking a little tired in places but overall a good experience that I would recommend.
"Good trip"
First time travelling between Hull Zeebrugge and return and it was a very good trip. Slept well in the cabin which although small are fairly comfortable. The food in the kitchen was good both for dinner and breakfast we booked these as part of the package. Booked a travel pack for the car as well but this never arrived and mistakenly we thought we would pick it up on board the ship - they knew nothing about it. So we bought the necessary items and are asking for a refund if the pack price. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable trip.
"Recent voyage"
There needs to be more stringent measures in place to prevent young children from running around the ship. On more than one occasion I had to avoid young boys running through the duty free shop like it was a general thoroughfare.
"Annoyed "
The journey out was as expected fine great staff all very well organised. Cabin was fine Montreal complaints. Well maybe the chefs should go on a retraining program bland and not appetizing dishes My annoyance is not being able to alter the return journey date. Due to flights times we were unable to make the return journey resulting in extra expense staying overnight and alternative travel expenses.
"Very Smooth"
Getting on board in Hull was very quick and efficient. Crew were all very friendly and helpful. Food and service in the a la Carte restaurant was good. Entertainment in the lounge bar was also good. Breakfast in the buffet restaurant was quite good. A bit of a delay once we got off at Zeebrugge going through passport control. On return the port area seemed a bit disorganised and we went through two passport checks. However, once onboard again the crew were friendly and helpful. Food again was good, and Dave Dove was good entertainment in the lounge bar. Again a delay of an hour going through passport control. The Ships and crews were great, the Ports just need to get themselves sorted out and the whole thing would be a much better experience.
"Very good trip"
We have a beautiful trip
"Great trip "
Great trip. Have used this crossing lots of times, but as a tall man, the standard bunk beds are too small, so I always have to upgrade to a double bed, and pay extra. I find this a bit unfair, almost “heightist”. Could I book standard in future and get a free upgrade when you see the size of me? I’m 6ft 7 and slim.
"P&O Pride of Bruges"
We were really not impressed by this ferry. On the way to Europe we decided to have a meal on board. For £22 we got a quite mediocre meal. My husband had some salmon that was completely dry and tasteless. On our way back (29 July), our cabin had a really bad sewage smell. Our daughter was not impressed by the lack of free WiFi. She wanted to buy a card but was told by a member of staff that the connection was not good at all. To finish us off the queue to passport control was very long. Overall not a pleasant experience and no value for money.
"Ship in general "
Basic and clean
"Return sailing cancelled"
The Hull-Zeebrugge outward service was delayed - the layout of the docks is narrow and if access is blocked by another ship, the ferry's schedule will be disrupted. Our return ferry journey from Zeebrugge to Hull was cancelled on the day of departure, resulting in much extra travelling, traffic delays and an unplanned overnight hotel. Whereas there is no shortage of channel ferries (and we were fortunately given priority there and able to take the next ferry following arrival at Calais), the vulnerability of the Hull-Zeebrugge service to possible cancellation was highlighted.
"Bruges trip"
Two complaints. Why was I charged €47 euros for a bottle of gin priced at £35. Literally taking the public for a ride. To save the utter confusion when we disembarked a sticker with P&O on the windscreen is all it would take. Other than that the trip was good
"Firsþ huĺl zeńrugge crossong"
Found whole experience relaximg añd straight forward. No fuss. Service good, staff frieñdly. Restaurant good. Great way tò sysrt holìfaý
"Zeebrugge ferry road signs"
Dreadful signage to access ferry port. Leave plenty of time to arrive eventually
"Wonderful service!"
Can’t recommend P&O ferries enough. Fantastic staff, great customer service. Our toddler is a handful, but the staff in the Kitchen restaurant were particularly helpful. Clean and comfortable cabins, lovely bar with live entertainment. Thank you.
"wrong ship"
My trip from Hull By P&O was yet again a pleasure. for me it is the best way to travel to the continent. However! I ended up in Rotterdam!! Apparently we arrived late at checkin, ok our fault! That being the case it seems apparent that we were put on the Rotterdam ferry by default so that at least we got to the continent, ok fine with me! This was not realised until we docked in Rotterdam. I contacted Direct ferries who told me that the port authrity in Hull explaiend this to me upon checkin and this was recorded. I have requested a transcript of said recording, this will not be forthcoming as no such contact was made. By not being made aware of the change of circumstances of arriving in Holland I was denied the opportunity to ammend my arrangements for onward travel and , more importantly my insurance became invalid. I hasten to say that I believe this was no fault of P&O ferries and the problem was between Direct ferries and the port of Hull authorities Regards Peter Duffy
"Unhelpful staff"
I booked my trip on-line but did not see the option to add breakfast. I rang Directferries to add breakasft and was told this would amount to an amendment of my ticket therefore would cost £35 on top of the cost of breakfast. I explained that when I purchased the ticket there was no option for meals but this was to no avail.I told him I will complain abot this but he did not care a bit. I refused to pay the extra cost and I rang P&O ferries directly and I paid for breakfast for 2 (my wife and I) over the phone without any extra charge. I wonder if the lack of options to purchase meals is intetional and if the customer care attendant had proper training on the matter.
"Very pleasant crossing"
Very flexible booking. Just one comment here is that it should be possible to book fully electronically (as one can for flights) for people traveling. We were camping and had to go out to find a place to print the reservation. Other than that everything went very smoothly. Timely boarding and disembarking, clean cabin with small but good functioning bathroom (toilet, shower). We had made dinner and breakfast reservations which were very agreeable.
"Motorcycle trip"
The ferry ( Duke of York) was surprisingly good. The food was excellent. The only down side was WIFI, there was none throughout the ship. Its 2019 guys, let's get it sorted.
"Some improvements that you could make..."
Firstly it's quite ironic that you should ask me to review a sailing which never actually happened due to a broken engine on the Pride of York. However, I know these things happen and I'm not here to go on and on about what a shame/disaster it was we missed our trip home. However, I think you should hear some constructive feedback. So: 1. Maintenance of the ship is clearly your responsibility and, although my wife and I were very grateful that it did not break down mid-sailing (otherwise things would have been a LOT worse), I think you should consider whether the ship has the correct maintenance schedule and/or whether it really is time it was sent to the great scrap heap in the sky and replaced with something a bit more modern. If nothing else the lovely crew, who are always charming and attentive, serving a wide variety of delicious food, deserve better. 2. When we arrived at the port, we were immediately told that the sailing was in doubt (which is good) and then subsequently (maybe 30 to 45 minutes later, it was confirmed that it would not sail. This was when things went a little astray as we had little or no information on what was going to happen next or what our options were. So, along with several other vehicles, we sat around and waited. Some while later, a very pleasant lady (by the name of Jo I believe) came down the cars and eventually got to us - advising that we could either drive to Dover (not an option at that time of the evening), switch to the sailing the following day or wait and hope to get on the Rotterdam ferry. The last one was our preferred option, though that might have meant not getting on the following day and maybe having to wait 2 or more days longer to get back. So we opted to switch, but communications with the office were not good, so Jo disappeared for another 20 minutes or so and we were not sure if we had been switched to the following day. My wife went into the office and joined a long queue. I then spotted Jo and managed to get our booking altered (as did one other chap nearby). At this point I wondered where the rest of the people were who were due to be on the ship as we only saw about 20 - 30 cars or caravans in our queue (and I think only about 2/3rds of them had the benefit of Jo's advice). Inevitably, the situation was pretty chaotic with cars stretching back to the roundabout outside the compound I believe. So my recommendation here is that there should be an 'emergency' or cancellation procedure in place, ready to be followed with details handed out immediately to everyone so that they have the correct information on what they need to do. I think we were perhaps one of the lucky ones, who got some information, but I can see why you may have had a lot of angry people queued up at your information desk.
"Satisfied trip"
My family and I have just crossed from Zeebruge to Hull on the pride of York. The food was excellent and very well presented as well as delicious. The cabin was clean and functional. The staff were very helpful, evening entertainment was suitable and pleasant.
"Christmas Break"
As kids have left home decided to spend Christmas in Europe, planning where to staay depending on the weather. So we took our car from Hull to Zeebrugge and returning from Hook of Holland to Harwich to see family in London on the way up to our home in Manchester. It worked out great. We had good crossings there and back. The shop and duty free were very reasonable on our way to Zeebrugge but very expensive on our return on Stena Line.
"Security"
In comparison with air travel the security seems very lax. No checking of bags in either direction.
"Relaxing Journey"
This time we had a really relaxing journey. Even tough it was end of November, the sea was very calm. We had the most beautiful Christmas dinner on board with a first class service.
"I need of a major update on the pride of york "
I was expecting the same quality ship as the pride of hull and was very disappointed, felt like I was slumping it, the room allocated was worse that Harry Potter cupboard under the stairs, everything in the room rattled toilet smelt horrible, door wouldn’t close properly. Food was excellent entertainment was good also, just needs a face lift. Getting off the ship was a nightmare would have thought they would have done a level at a time to stop all the pushing and shoving trying to get to the front. Better organisation required for disembarking. Would recommend p & o for the pride of hull ferry but not the pride of york.
"children"
we found that children playing with the lifts from the green deck and their parents were oblivious to this we travelled with a person who had disabilities and had to use the lift. On return we could not dock for 2 hours due to the low water. should this not have noted earlier
"very enjoyable"
We found the whole trip on the ferry very comfortable and the food was excellent
"enjoyable sailing"
I regularly do the hull to Zeebrugge crossing and always enjoy being in a club class.
"Ferry trip to Belgium "
Clean well kept ship with friendly and polite staff I would recommend to a friend
"Disappointing Delays"
On Ferry on 14th from Zeebrugge to Hull. Delayed more than 5 hours leaving and more than 3.5 hours when it was time to disembark. If we were advised of an known issue we would have liked to have been given to choice to make alternative arrangements. Also, there were 2 buses with school chidren who were extremely disruptive, I had to complain a couple of times to customer services regarding blocking stairwells, passageways and the noise was unacceptable.
"P and o hull to zeebrugge"
Ship punctual. Easy to navigate. Food exceptional. Smooth crossing. Very clean. Excellent animal welfare and friendly staff.
"A good experience"
Travelled out on Pride of York and home on Pride of Bruges, and both trips were very pleasant. The staff are always courteous and cabins clean. Food in the Brasserie was fine and all in all, both trips were fine.
"Check in experience on return leg of trip"
When we arrived at the Check in at the ferry port in Hull, we were told that our booking could not be found. Research by the lady in the guichet found that our return journey, from Hull to Zeebrugge had been cancelled. No reason for the cancellation was noted. I do not know which office made the cancellation. This resulted in considerable stress for me while enquiries were made and the fault corrected. The lady at the check in was most pleasant and helpful in her comportment, but this should not have happened.
"A little more care needed."
The ship used to TRAVEL BACK TO HULL from Belgium {THE PRIDE OF YORK } was not as comfortable as the one on the outward trip, on up grading to Club class cabin there was no hot water and the heating in the cabin did not work on the night which would have been helpfull as it was quite chilly on that night. Say this about the ship i would and proberly wil use again in the future like i have in the past.
"Nearly Good"
We bought the Privilege room with double bed. The room was ok but the bed was a big letdown - a very poor mattress and an even worse bottom sheet that ended the night mostly in the middle. Surely this can be sorted with a fitted bottom sheet.
"Hull Zeebrugge"
2 decent crossings but this ship is tired and in need of refurb. The 2 entertainments provided below standard of other trips we have been on.
"Very well looked after"
My wife is disabled and I requested a cabin near the central area of the ship, and the steps and lifts. This is what we got, thank you.
"Mainly Good"
We enjoyed every aspect of the ship and the facilities were fine. One complaint is the cabin was far too warm. Not sure if the air conditioning had broke but in such a small and confined space, with obviously no window to open, a functioning air con system should be essential.
"my journey with P&O Ferries"
the staff were highly competent and very friendly and efficient. I upgraded to club class on the return journey and thought the facilities and the appointment of the cabin with tea and coffee making facilities was extremely good and the beds were very comfortable and I had a very good nights sleep. On the outward journey we had a superior outside cabin and although not as luxurious it was again comfortable bright an d very clean. Both nights we eat in the restaurant and thought the meal was of quite a good standard.Altogether both journeys were very comfortable and enjoyable and I will definitely travel with P&O ferries in the future
"Private trip with elderly persons"
Ship in good shape.
"A nice start to our holiday break."
This was a very good experience and a great start to our Holiday. We used both the breakfast and dinner facility which we found very enjoyable although we did think the breakfast was quite expensive. The cabins were adequately equipped with comfortable bunks, but the air conditioning was quite noisy.
"France he we come"
Staff friendly and help full flood lots of choice and firs class and cabins clean and well presented
"Great service "
We was seriously late due to huge accident in Germany, we kept P&O updated on phone as we were driving, We arrived at dock 30 minutes prior to our depart time P&O left the ferry vehicles door opened specially for us right until 30 minutes to depart time and allowed us despite been so late Great service Thank you to all staff at P&O in offices dock and the ferry
"Overnight trip"
Comfortable cabin. shower a bit difficult to operate. To achieve a reasonable temperature the volume and power were high. Food good. Could have saved a little by booking in advance but not aware of this. Difficult to find Zeebrugge. Lack of signs. Arrived on time but it took a long time to be loaded on board.
"2 Fantastic journeys over the last week!"
We were super impressed with P and O ferries which we have not been on for many years. Super surprised and delighted by everything, wonderful friendly crew throughout, great food, clean and tidy,, the cabins were just perfect and v comfortable beds. Only one negative we sat in the car for an age waiting to disembark - much too long! But we will return without doubt was a pleasure. Thank you.
"Trip till Brugges by P&O ferries"
Best trip of ever in a fantastic ship.Lovely staff, nice cabin, beautiful food, and excelent environment. I really recommend.
"So disappointed "
We were so looking forward to our meal having has a wonderful meal a couple of years ago. Unfortunately the food is not longer fantastic. It was not good. What happened to the “to die for” seafood? Hot dog sausages! Really. Why isn’t there air conditioning in the cabins? It was unbearably hot so instead of arriving rested we were all tired. Not a good start. We choose to sail with you specifically for the food. We we be taking another option next time hoping there will be air con.
"Fantastic "
We booked a 5 berth club class cabin as we are bikers and had a lot of kit to house. We were allowed to board early and we had had our dinner before we got out of the harbour, leaving us to relax for the evening. We had a roomy shower with Clarins toiletries and we had a great mini bar and television to relax with. in our room. We had a great nights sleep in a double bed and had a very filling breakfast
"Hull Zeebrugge ferry"
Overnight sailing is a great way to reduce the number of car miles from the north of England over to the continent. Use the opportunity of the restaurants to make it part of the holiday. Worth spending a little more for the better cabins.
"Pride of York"
Service excellent, departed / arrived on time & very comfortable. Staff friendly & helpful. Have use the crossing several times & much easier than heading to the south coast.
"Great travel choice with small children "
This ship is easy to get around - plenty of toilets and easy access to the outer decks. We liked the roomy lounge/bar at the back. Comfortable cabin and nice shop - shame there are no postcards/P&O souvenirs though! We didn't sample the food on board or use kids' facilities. Only complaints: we had to hang around in the car for at least an hour waiting to board, and it wasn't clear whether we could get out of the car and wait in the terminal building. We also boarded later than advised - frustrating with an impatient 3-year-old. Having to collect cabin keys on board was also a pain (compared to getting them at check-in, which we later experienced at Rotterdam). Signage for Hull check-in not great either - we did a lap round the car park first by mistake!
"You get what you pay for"
Have travelled this route on a number of occasions. Always book a premier or club class cabin. This time, we stayed in the included inside cabin. Never again!! You definitely get what you pay for. We had to move from the first cabin as it smelt of stale sweat. The second cabin smelt better but the drains were extremely smelly. The cabin bed vibrates the whole night. So, having paid to have a restful journey before continuing on onward drive, this resulted in me having no sleep whatsoever. Also, cabin doors that fit the frames would also be a real bonus! Lesson learned, in future we will only book club class as the included cabins are utter rubbish! Food/ service excellent as always. Good choice.
"Ferry crossing feedback"
Great crossing from zeebruge, probably the best food we've had on any ferry, buffet manager and staff very professional, looking forward to booking with p & o again soon
"Over prize "
Cabin 1099 The smell was bad from the drans. The vidration not nice . It's getting over prize for what it is. Cheap to travel down south and book a hotel.
"Trip to zeebrugge"
Excellent crossing and the staff were very helpful.
"First trip"
was the first time me and my son had used P&O ferries and we were very impressed by the speed and efficiency we boarded and got our cabin keys. Our cabin was more spacious than we had expected and was very clean, well maintained and in a good position on Deck 6. The highlight of our experience was our meal in the Brasserie. We both had a curry from the most amazing selection of food that was on offer. I remarked to the Manager at the ydoor on our exit that it was one of the best Indian meals I had eaten and thanked him and the chefs and all the staff who were on duty that day.ou Both my son and I will have no hesitation recommending your route (Zeebrugge to Hull) ship, (Pride of York) and the crew. Thank them for a wonderful relaxing journey.
"Mediocre start to our holiday "
Dated interior, tiny "premium" cabin. Had to pay extra £50 to get into a decent cabin. Pre paid dinner but turned out to be cafeteria so paid extra for restaurant. Maitre d' behaved as though he was doing us a big favour fitting us in to his very busy restaurant - it wasn't! Slow service, limited menu. Not a patch on Brittany Ferries!!
"Pleasant trip"
Comfortable cabin, incredibly quiet. Couldn't we have free Wifi? (instead of 'entertainment'?)
"Ferry trip "
Fantastic ship to sail on friendly staff good steak good entertainment
"amazing trip with friends"
Wow what an amazing trip over to Bruges and back with friends. We stayed in club class double going out and club class 3 berth coming home. It was perfect, clean comfy and so enjoyable. Food was brilliant and amazing value. would highly recommend travelling by ferry and we will be doing so again oursleves
"A lovely trip"
We had a lovely experience on the ferries A slick operation, our first time Hull to Zeebrugge and everything went smoothly. Rooms &, ferry clean We ate in both restaurants and both were enjoyable with good service
"super cabin and execellent trip"
The wjhole trip was a success
"Will use this route and company again."
Loved the fact that you could stay in your cabin up until being called to your car. Other ferry journeys I’ve taken, you’re forced to leave the cabin so that cleaning can start, over an hour before you dock. Which means you are also woken ridiculously early. However, even after paying for an upgrade to premium class, there was no TV provided in the cabin. Which are standard even on shorter routes on other ferries. Overall a good journey, with a comfortable bed in a clean cabin.
"Fantastic"
I love getting this ferry across to mainland Europe and every trip the ferry is one of my favourite parts of my holiday!! I travel with an 8yr old shutter and we both always have lots of fun and feel safe and well looked after. Breakfast is exceptional
"Excellent experience"
After booking our trip as foot passengers our plans changed. Although the website froze during amendment, we phoned and the changes were done over the phone without fuss. We had booked the food package. As one of our party has a severe nut allergy, we notified the waiting staff. Although we were provided with an allergy list, the Chef came and walked her around the full buffet, taking the time to answer any questions. He also did the same at breakfast. This made our trip so easy and we looked forward to the return journey.
"Mostly good, as always"
We have been using this route since the late 60's, when it was North Sea Ferries, because it is so convenient for Yorkshire and the North of the UK, although we avoid school holiday periods entirely, when the prices are ridiculously high. We live in France. This particular crossing was good. The ferry was nice and clean, the cabin was not too cold, as it was on our outward trip, and it was quiet in the cabin area. The sea was very calm, like a duck pond. We did not book a meal this time, because we have become a little disappointed with the lower quality of the self-service food over the past few years. Instead, we decided to have a snack in the coffee bar on green deck, and had pizzas, which were ok and reasonably priced. We no longer buy drinks with our meal, as the prices are way over the top.
"Hull to zeebruge"
A really good experience food and entertainment excellent kept well informed about delays the cabin area was clean and tidy and I would certainly use this route again
"Trip home "
Best food of all Europe wish I lived on board , very noisy in cabin at night
"another great trip"
This is a great way to travel. Drive on , a nice club cabin, drink and a meal, good nights sleep. On my return journey it was the emptiest hold I have ever seen, No lorries and only 1 coach. Heaven
"Bruges holiday"
Ideal way to travel to Belgium or France and arrive fresh. Great choice of food for evening and breakfast, slick eating arrangements, helpful staff 10/10.
"GREAT SERVICE"
Travelling on P&O Ferries between Zeebrugge and Hull is always a pleasure from start to finish. The staff, including the border control officers, are always polite and efficient and getting vehicles on and off the ferries is extremely easy thanks to the clear directions given. The dining on board the ferries is very good for the price and I always enjoy the selection available. The bar prices for beer (that's all I drink on board) are good and the bar staff always friendly. I always use the inside cabins and although small, are fine for a single nights accommodation. All in all, I highly recommend using this route for travel to the north of England.
"Simple traveling "
Really relaxed crossing, have traveled twice on this route now and definitely planning to use it again. Only one down side, for some reason our room was unbareably hot on our return journey and when adjusting the temperature on the roof dial it didn’t make any difference. (Room No.2093) Other than this, we can’t fault the journey at all!
"Your record is wrong but ........."
Due to illness we were obliged to cancel our trip but, on production of a medical certificate, the ferry company were most accommodating and has guaranteed a fresh booking for us during the coming twelve month period.. Thank you.
"I may never fly again"
Wonderful experience. Parked outside the terminal at Hull . No Q so straight through to departure lounge. Onto ship. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Coffee lounge, restaurants, bar & shop on board were all fab... A full nights sleep and we were ready for breakfast before an easy exit from the ship. Straight onto bus outside the terminal and 20 minutes later we were in Brugge. The return journey was just as easy.... From leaving Brugge we were in our cabin on the ship within 40 minutes. We will definitely use the Hull Zeebrugge crossing again...
"A Life on the Ocean Wave!"
Always enjoy the long overnight crossings, we had a premier 2 berth cabin, very comfortable and clean. Would have been better with 2 pillows per berth, but I guess we could have asked for extra. Excellent temperature control in the cabin. Dining room seemed a little cramped compared to the Hull-Zeebrugge crossing, maybe a smaller ship, but quality and choice of food was excellent, although could have been a bit hotter.. Service in the restaurant first class as always. Although ship didn't depart until 830 pm, we were allowed on board with our motorhome as soon as we got there, which was before 5 pm. Unfortunately, our motorhome broke down within a mile of leaving the ship in Rotterdam and after calling our breakdown service, decided to return home. We managed to change our booking for a nominal fee and P&O were extremely helpful in helping us get the vehicle back on board to return on the same ship we had just come in on and again, in allowing us to be first of the ship back in Hull. Although a much more expensive and longer crossing than Dover to Calais, the long boring drive from the North of England is avoided and the ferry trip is very enjoyable part of the holiday.
"excellent sojourn"
we travel with our business needs from hull to either belgium or holland frequently and often book this through direct ferries who appear very competent, the journey itself apart from rough seas was excellent a well organised ship with good cabins(we upgraded and always worth the extra cost) good cuisine very helpful and friendly staff and we would recommend this service.
"Value for money"
Thanks Direct Ferries, a better cabin and better price than P&O can offer to full unit holders. Well done.u
"A quiet and comfortable night's crossing beats the M11 and tunnel hands down"
Our first time in a club cabin and well worth the extra. The comfort and catering beats many overnight hotels. Particularly enjoyed the minivan, the toiletries a d the total absence of noise on green deck. The only down side was that the thirty year old ship shows her age in a few places.
"Generally a good way to travel"
We travelled from Hull to Zeebrugge as part of a family get-together in Munster in Germany on the overnight ferry. The check-in procedures etc were fine, the food and drink good if slightly on the expensive side. The on-board entertainment was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. The cabin was basic and for a 71-year-old getting in and out of the top bunk was interesting! Nevertheless we had all that we needed and would definitely consider this method of getting to the Continent again.
"Excellent Journey Once Again"
Check in was smooth and painless. Our cabins were clean and tidy. The food was excellent as usual and the entertainment kept our children happy for a few hours in the evening. Only one issue, our cabin on our outward journey was next to the play area and some unattended children were screaming and shouting until 22:00. Maybe a small issue but when you have young children trying to sleep, it does become a problem.
"David"
Hull to zeebrugge over night . Quiet 13 hour trip. Notes if you need to get to Brugge get tickets with purchase of pass or it's 13.50 Euro each on a bus. Didn't see any taxi's at Port. Hull is a great City for the day to visit prior to departure and be alert you have two terminal so get the correct one the other one is too far to walk. The boat had food and was quite nice for a mini cruise.
"P&O Zeebrugge to Hull"
its a pleasure to sail between Zeebrugge and Hull in this way. P&O have put together a good service, staff were pleased to help with any small issue you encounter. In the restaurant the buffet is enjoyable and well staffed so you never have to wait too long to be seated if you arrive in good time. The cabin was clean and we enjoyed the comfort. Nice extras such as mini bar and flat screen tv made it possible to spend comfortable family time in the cabin. Keep up the good service P&O!
"Long time to start unloading"
Loading fairly quick at both ports. However on return to Hull wait of 35 minutes before car leaving ship, after being called to car deck is far too long to have to with in car before moving.
"Customer query"
Do you have an email address for a customer query? I would like to get in touch regarding my booking as I appear to have been overcharged.
"Relaxing crossing "
We had a lovely time crossing from Hull to Zeebrugge as well as from Zeebrugge to Hull. The staff couldn't have been more helpful both times. We were travelling with our dog and that all worked out well with the on board kennels. I also liked the fact that you were allowed to exercise them during a period of time and that the dogs got regularly checked on. The staff in the restaurant was fantastic and especially one member (I think he was called Ronnie) stood out making flowers for my daughter and me out of paper napkins (it's the small things that matter!!) It was our first time using the Ferry but it will certainly not be the last!
"Smooth crossing"
Very enjoyable in all respects
"Hull to zeebruge"
Been three times with wife on motorbike 90 min from home in Manchester can't fault it clean tide food ok bunk beds a bit tricky after a few wake up and hit the road
"Fèrry to zeebrugger"
My return ferry from zeebrrugger to hull was cancelled and rerouted from rotterdam . There was no mention of compensation from p&o for the extra 2 hour drive . In the future i will book one way and then i can book the return journey from were i choose.
"A good night"
Recently I traveled on the pride of Bruges and it was my first time traveling on a ferry as an adult so I didn't know what to expect, but I can say that it passed everything I was looking for. Plus the trinity trio was amazing you guys rock the songs were well known I think I sang to all but one I hope next time I'm on it you guys are playing do I can sing along again -Your canadian friend Sam
"Zeebrugge to Hull8-7-17"
We rushed up to get the ferry early to relax before dinner! We had been on a weeks holiday torest after my husband had been in hospital for a week with severe food poisoning that medics thought had infected the valves in his heart !! This was thankfully not the case and we set off on holiday to recover from the trauma!! The journey out was perfect we had a lovely meal and a good noghts crossing in our cabin! It was the trip back that spoilt everything we were informed there was a stowaway ! Dogs and police were checkingthe cabins our keys were missing but the lovely staff found us another cabin and took us down to make sure we were Ok!! The staff were at all times very polite and helpfulbut we are wary of going on the same journey with our grandchildren in the summer as the problem in Calais seems to be moving to zebrugge!!
"check in a challenge with wrong information. pricey but good"
The check in process was a challenge. According to the confirmation email check in was from 90 minutes prior to the departure. (5 pm) I arrived at 4:30 pm at the ferry building to check in. A guy in the building told me to just wait in the queue. If i had done that i would have missed the ferry because the cars from the later ferry to Rotterdam blocked the terminal to be able to check in for Zeebrugge. I arrived 120 minutes before and hardly managed to get aboard. When i asked a lady when the last check in was, she had told that the last check in was 5 pm (departure 6:30 pm). The email said check in was from 5 pm. What if the terminals were for different destinations like on an airport? I guess it is a logistical challenge but there were no security checks at all. luckily i had a 4 bed bunk room on my own. the band in one of the lounges was entertaining. food was also good. one remark: the door handle in the shower was torn out a bit, which is fine unless it breaks. Would not want to be locked in the bathroom for the night.
"A tale of two halves"
Outbound was just ok. Returning was much better. We were delayed leaving Hull because of engine problems so were an hour and half late into Zeebrugge. Not a problem for us. Of more concern was the poor service in the Brasserie. Staff seemed poorly trained and when issues were raised became hugely defensive. By comparison the service in the Brasserie on the return was first rate. What we have come to expect.
"Somme trip"
Confusing directions to car staff sent us the wrong way. More info needed when you can go to the car, people sat on floors in corridor very confused where to go. Cabins lovely and clean, all facilities good, beds comfy and crisp bedding
"A very civilised crossing."
For us, the route saves the tedious slog up to Yorkshire and is well worth the extra cost. We found the cabins a better size than most, and the accommodation very comfortable. T forgot to book a restaurant meal for the evening, so we ate in the buffet restaurant, and were surprised by the excellent choice and quality we found there. A big thumbs up from us!
"ferry p and o "
good service friendly staff at check in. food to expensive on ferry and drinks .
"Ferry trip"
Excellent experience. Very much part of the holiday. Good was good. Staff friendly and hard working.
"Plain sailing"
Our crossings were faultless. The brasserie & its staff were exceptional. The only fault was the serving of Starbucks so called coffee.
"Hull - Zeebrugge Pride of York 9 May 2017"
All good! arrived 90 mins before sailing, check in and security very smooth - much more pleasant than any airport check in/security! Spotlessly clean cabin and polite, helpful staff. Nothing not to like!
"6 hours late"
The ferry had gear box trouble and arrived 6 hours late. This caused us problems as we were on bikes and had to cycle to Ghent for our first night. We should have got there with half a day to explore.....as it was we arrived in the rain in the evening.
"Good service but expensive "
Firstly I'd like to say the service was spot on well organised and everything ran smoothly but the down fall to this is the price for a van I payed nearly £400 to take my van I use for private use on the ferry while their was caravans bigger than my van for half the price never mind the car it was attached to. I think something needs to be done with the pricing of a van a minibus or camper is half the price how could you justify nearly £400 for a van is beyond me.
"Calm and comfortable"
Coming from Sheffield, we (car of 4) decided to use the Hull-Zeebrugge option for getting to Europe rather than facing the painful drive through (and back) to Dover. It ends up being no more expensive (no overnight break needed somewhere in a chaep hotel in France) and we felt relaxed and ready for the 1,000km drive down to Provence after a comfortable, pleasant, interesting and relaxing night aboard. The evening meal in the a la carte restaurant was very good and reasonable value and the cabins are compact, comfy and cleverly designed - if a bit hot! On returning we only had a 1 3/4hr drive home rather than the endless grind up through the UK's worst traffic. All in all, very recommendable.
"First time"
Excellently on time. Enjoyed the first time experience of this route. Would use it again
"Hulk Zeebrugge ferry trip"
Great trip on a newly refurbished ship, Pride of York. We ate a good meal in the Brasserie and enjoyed the resident duo in the cabaret bar. Cabins were clean and comfortable.
"Better coming back than going out"
We were travelling at a quiet time of year so there were few passengers on board which made for a quiet passage. Loved having privacy of own cabin, and in general the crew were cheerful, helpful and friendly. Not so, however for one crew member in the Sunset lounge when we went for breakfast just before docking in Zeebrugge. She was abrupt to the point of rude, and became very impatient and passively aggressive when I asked what flavour jam she'd given me as I couldn't read the label without my glasses and don't like strawberry jam. I felt very uncomfortable and said it didn't matter I wouldn't have jam after all and she thrust the basket of jams at me telling me to pick another one. When I explained I couldn't see them as I didn't have my glasses she tutted loudly, sighed impatiently, and barked 'what jam do you want?' I just wanted to get away as I was embarrassed and there was a queue building up behind me. In contrast the crew on the return journey were without exception very helpful, polite and welcoming- even early morning after a night on board! Thank you, for a very pleasant return journey!
"SAIL & SLEEP"
Pleasantly surprised at this and the first time we have travelled overnight on a ferry. Efficient staff, great facilities and catering. Commendable!
"A smooth, comfortable crossing"
A smooth, comfortable crossing
"Great trip!"
Now living in France we decided to try the Zeebrugge-Hull crossing to visit family back in the UK. I was very pleasantly surprised on how efficient the service was. The whole process of boarding the ship (customs check, loading and cabin allocation) was very slick. The facilities on board are excellent, whether you want to watch the evening entertainment, go to the on-board cinema or use one of the quieter areas for a relaxing evening. There are plenty of food options ranging from a full 3 course menu in the restaurent to a light snack in the snack bar. The overnight crossing means you can have a good nights sleep and be refreshed to continue your journey in the morning.
"Hull - Bruge via Pride of York"
Overall a good experience with comfortable cabin and other facilities. One bad experience was that our Moules Mariniere dish was old and tired ( brown in colour and rubbery, with very little sauce). These were sent back and eventually a fresh dish was served. Our return tip was good and uneventful.
"A rocky crossing - great friendly staff"
We travelled back from Zeebruge to Hull recently on the pride of York. The staff as always were top rate. Always helpful and will do their utmost to fulfill your requests. They even let us watch the football on the tv ! Clean rooms and always hot water for the showers. It was a rocky crossing but even the staff prewarned us with their informative announcements. Good job, can't fault anything. Oh and my favourite bit is having a massage on the chair - a bargain at £1 - much needed after travelling in a car for 9 hours ! Thanks guys
"Hull - Zeebrugge"
As a frequent travellers to France (with small camper van) we decided to use this service for the first time as it saves the long trek to the South of England from home in Scotland. Bordering was easy and straightforward. Cabin was just what was required and showers excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Drinks/coffee good and cost about what we'd expected. Decided to try the "good' restaurant as it was the first night of our holiday. DON"T! It was appalling. I was served with a plate of mussels, many of which had not opened, staff terribly apologetic and was offered something else but I had been put off by then. Meanwhile, my wife was served with a a chicken dish that was supposed to be free of gluten and suitable for a celiac. As she found out later it clearly wasn't. Total waste of money (and it was't cheap). So, apart from the food, the service was great. Have just returned home via the reverse trip and it was excellent again ..but we did avoid the food. I had a look at the cheaper restaurant and, to be fair, the breakfast looked pretty good Would recommend if you use this service to factor in extra time, particularly near Hull, as there seem to be a lot of road works and delays. Will certainly use the service again.
"First time north sea ferries "
Ann and myself arrived at Hull Ferries it was well signed and easy to follow, straight through customs then after a short wait were directed aboard to where we parked, staff were polite and helpful. The cabin was clean and tidy only let down was the mattress was a bit tired a nice smooth crossing. On our way home a different cabin and the mattress was very comfy again the docks area was well signed and easy to find
"Time for a change?"
A new ship would be welcome. Preferably one which docks outside the lock, like the Dutch vessel. We knew this ship as the Norsea and also knew the Norwind .......but only the names have changed. There is no other choice between Zeebrugge and Hull. We also know the menus by heart.
"Great trip"
We left on time, the meal was great, entertainment spot on and our upgraded cabin was comfortable... What more could you ask?
"Thank you"
Great to ravel to Hull on P&O Ferries, staff very welcoming, great food, great very clean cabins, only one thing can be better, in some cabins airco isn't working properly and it gets very stuffy in there. Could maybe be checked regularly before cabins are allocated to passengers. In spite of this little inconvenience, we love travelling with P&O. Thank you all.
"Pity about the small dining room"
The Hull - Rotterdam route is serviced by newer and larger ferries than Hull - Zeebrugge, with faster and easier loading of cars (no queues), larger cabins and public areas. However the dining facilities are cramped and badly laid out, with less choice subsequently. I suspect that to get a decent meal you would have to go ala carte. We far prefer Hull - Zeebrugge, and only sailed to Rotterdam because on our chosen day of travel it was the only one running.
"Just ok"
Ship ok - bit tired and not as good as other ferries we have used previously but got us from A to B. Cabin clean and basic - even though sea was fairly rough both ways still managed to get a good night sleep. Major complaint was the food. Ate in the buffet restaurant- cost £21 p/p for 3 courses which might have ok if 1. the food was good quality (was pretty tasteless) and 2. I had been able to eat anything- I am gluten free and could have no desserts, none of the main courses and limited options from starters. Chef eventually made me a piece of grilled children but I really objected paying £21 for it !!. Would I use the service again- possibly but would take sandwiches next time.
"Trip to euro land"
Brilliant crossing. Brilliant return staff superb entertainment on each crossing exerlent.
"The old Tub"
The staff on the ship or pleasant and helpful the ship however was late delayed and there was no clear information given by the captain this made my onward journey difficult and more expensive as it had to be replanned buy new tickets for my onward journey the boat was also very old I would've preferred to have sailed on a more modern vessel a big company like P&O should be investing in English shipbuilding and buying a new boat from time to time .
"Yearly Trip on the sea"
This has been a yearly trip for nine years and remains to be an enjoyable overnight experience. An excellent choice of meals from starters through to the main courses to its desserts and not to forget the coffee. Decent choice of wine selections or other alcoholic drinks. Bunks/cabins are fine and all you need for an overnight journey. Only dissapointment was the offers on the onboard alcohol shop. The prices and selections not as good by far as in previous years.
"Very satisfactory"
We were pleased to be able to board the ship over 2 hours before sailing. Much better than sitting waiting in your own car. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Food in the "Kitchen" was good quality with plenty of variety at a cost of £26 for evening meal and breakfast. Plenty of time to have breakfast and no pressure to vacate the cabin before arrival.
"Pleasant trip"
Everything went well.
"P and O Still doing the business !"
Travelled Hull to Zeebrugge and back on the Pride of York/Brugges and lived up to expectations. Ships are the former Hull/Rotterdam models and in some lights the exteriors look a little aged now although interiors have been upgraded. Service up to expectations as was catering.
"Fast route to the north"
A smooth uneventfull passage with good value for money food, a clean cabin, easy access, pleasant staff and 1/2 the price of Ijmuiden to Newcastle A relaxing end to our campervan holiday
"Hull - Zeebrugge"
Generally an excellent crossing. Boarded on time, sat having our dinner when the ship left Hull on time at 18:30hrs and ditto no the way back. Overall a very relaxing pleasant experience. Good food, wine list is a bit limited but food was good value and tasty. Only negatives - ship looks quite tired now. Inside cabins are quite stuffy at night and the temperature control on the incoming air from the ventilation seems not to work - it is always warm.
"The only way to cross the chanel"
If you live in the north its worth the extra to sail Hull to Zebruggee rather than drive south. Dated ship but good facilities and definately the way to start any trip. Like driving an automatic, once you do you don't go back to manual, unless you love the M25 !!!!!
"Another fabulous trip"
What a great start and finish to our short holiday. Although quite a bit smaller than the Hull to Rotterdam ferries, the ferry is clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly. The cabin was small but spotlessly clean with comfy bunks. This time we opted to dine and breakfast on board. The food was of good quality and there was a large variety of different dishes to choose from, plus you can eat as much as you like! The bars and coffee lounge were pleasant places to pass some of the time and we even enjoyed a sunny evening on deck on the way back home.
"Excellent experience"
The ferry terminal was well signposted and easy to find. Ticket collection was swift and once on board collection of cabin keys was simple. Cabin was clean and very comfortable just maybe a little stuffy with 4 people in. Food on board was good quality in the bistro with good choice and excellent service on the outward journey. We opted to take the special offer dinner and breakfast on the return and found the great value and very reasonable quality food and , once again, great service. Only down side was the long wait to get through passport check leaving Hull coming home which took over an hour to get through but this was no fault of the ferry company and more to do with the state of the nation at the moment. Overall excellent.
"The comfort of our trip home"
Every two years we travel to and from Monaco by car for the Historic Grand Prix (2 weeks before F1). Coming from Yorkshire to Channel Tunnel (4.30 set off to avoid worst of traffic) then through France with a couple of stop offs. Long weekend at Historic GP then return through Italy, Germany, France, to Ghent in Belgium. The last leg we choose the Zeebrugge to Hull P&O ferry for a relaxed overnight trip arriving into Hull Sunday morning for the 60 miles drive home. Not having to drive the length of the UK with all the roadworks makes for a very good end to our 12 day trip as the boat is comfortable, quite, relaxed, with good facilities to chill out.
"Thank you"
It was the first time we had done this trip and were very impressed with the efficiency of all levels of staff , from helping us board, dining room experience and entertainment. My son and his family are stationed in Belgium for two years so we will be using Direct Ferries at least three times a year. We are traveling in August with my 80 year old mother so hope we have as good experience as we did in May. All crew members we came in contact with were pleasant and helpful, and very professional. Looking forward to our next trip. Many thanks
"Good value for money"
Comfortable ship and good food. Excellent welcome and attitude from the ship's company.
"Smooth crossing in every way"
Efficient , clean, friendly staff. Great buffer breakfasts . We travel each year to visit family in Belgium. It is a good break and treat either side of the visit Also this time went for an inside cabin, it will be one with a window next time. Great service and fortunately smooth waters.
"Nice way to travel"
I really enjoy this crossing, its relaxed, choice of bars and eating places and I think that the extra for a club cabin is well worth it
"Helpful staff on board P & O Ferries"
I just want to express my great thanks to the staff on the information desks each way who assisted in changing our cabins to more spacious size as my companion was disabled. It would have been better had we been allocated these rooms when I booked but thankfully we enjoyed very comfortable journeys each way. All the staff on board are friendly and very helpful. Well done to all.
"Belgium visit"
Very enjoyable crossing, food was excellent and the cabin more than adequate. Calais to Barnsley may well be a thing of the past after this experience. Thank you very much P&O
"Ferry home for Xmas"
Travelled before on The Pride of York, very friendly crew, cabins always clean. Will use again.
"Excellent"
We always used this trip when we visit my parents in the Nord of France. This way break always the travelling as you wake up fresh the next day. Always good from the checking point until the boarding. Cabine are good standard Restaurant the Kitchen is perfect and thank you to the waitress who kindly accept to put us ii nn the annex after we have asked a window table. Also the Chef's lasagna are the best we have ever tested... The emtertement and duty free shop also good and enough for us. We would prefer the piano bar. We always get an early night.. Well done to all the crew on board.
"Enroute Home to Scotland."
Cabin fine and meal great. Only complaint lack of cover between waterproof mattress and bottom sheet so woke up uncomfortable.
"Overnight crossing of the North Sea from Hull to Zeebrugge and back thereafter!"
It was a good trip, the kids loved it. Very happy to do it again. The family cabin are very good and the club class is worth paying for.
"Hull to Zeebrugge crossing"
We sailed in August 2015. In comparison with last year's trip (with another ferry company who shall remain nameless!!), we really were in the lap of luxury! The cabins and beds were comfortable, though the bathrooms could have been a little bigger for extra comfort. The restaurant was fairly priced and the food was better than some restaurants we've been to! The waiters and staff in general, we're both friendly and professional and went out of their way to be helpful. There was plenty on the ferry to keep us occupied in our waking hours. In general it was a very pleasant experience and a great way to kick start our holiday. We'll done P and O! We would definitely use you again and recommend you to family and friends.
"Pleasant crossing"
Ship was showing its age externally but was ok internally. Cabin was tidy and very basic, but didn't expect much for an overnight stay.
"Good Crossing"
Much impressed, especially since I have travelled this route many times, and the cabin had obviously been refurbished, and the meals were up to thier usual high standard.
"Travelling on P&O Ferries between Hull and Zebrugge "
We had a good fun journey on board the ferries. The kids loved the childrens entertainment and the soft play. The facilities on the ferry and great and the staff are all very friendly. Unfortunately our car broke down when we were in France so we had to come back on the ferry as foot passengers and a lot of luggage!! The staff could not have been more helpful with helping us on the boat with our luggage. It is a very enjoyable experience travelling on the ferry and a great way to start and end your holiday.
"Easy peasy start to a holiday"
we had a very easy and chilled start to our holiday this year on the P&0 Hull to Zeebrugge ferry crossing. Calm crossing, good food, a quiet drink in the bar and then a quiet nights sleep. No traffic jams, blockades or queues. We were so lucky and grateful!
"ANOTHER SUPERB CROSSING OF THE NORTH SEA"
Check-in was smooth, as usual, staff at the port were friendly and helpful. The loading was quick and easy. Helpful staff on the car deck to point us in the right direction for a lift and directions given for finding the reception. The cabin was clean, as always. Bar and Restaurant Staff on board were more than helpful and friendly. The food was of the usual high standard. No complaints whatsoever. We find it the easy and comfortable to travel to UK and then on to Scotland. Slight delay on arrival at Zeebrugge, but the tide is the king and was no problem for us.
"Lovely"
My wife, me, our 4 yr old and 10 week old baby had a great time on the over night ferry. Room was brilliant. Service was too. Highly recommended.
"First leg of a long trip"
We enjoyed the first leg of our long trip across europe on a motorcycle, food was fantastic and the journey was very smooth. Cabins are quite cramped and hot but only needed for sleeping and washing in. Was unable to find water on our overnight trip back and had to purchase some from the medical supplies! Could do with at least one refreshment bar open all night for the people who are too hot to sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful. There were not enough straps to secure our bike on the way back and we felt very much like herded sheep up in the rafters of the car and truck bay which probably accounted for the roar of motorcycle engines as we were leaving.
"North Sea Cruise"
A great start and finish to a city break in Brugge.
"Hull to Zeebrugge service"
Excellent service, well kept accommodation and courteus helpfull staff. Would have no hesitation with using it again or recommending it to friends
"Hull to Zeebrugge and back"
Excellent crossing both ways, food good, staff helpful but just 1 complaint, cabins far too hot to have a good nights sleep both ways Will book again though, thanks
"Our favourite crossing"
Once again we travelled to France and back via the Hull-Zeebrugge/Zeebrugge-Hull ferries. Accommodation in Club Class is very comfortable and always gets our holiday off to a good start. The staff on board are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Generally the food is good and there are some excellent wines to choose from. We have travelled once or twice a year using this route for the last 4 years and wouldn't use another crossing now.
"Hull to Zebrugge"
Very good service. Everyone was very helpful and the services across the board were very good. The staff were very accommodating when we were late arriving at the ferry at Zebrugge.
"a pleasant journey"
We enjoyed travelling with P&O. The cabins were clean and well-attended and the bed linen and towels were impeccable. The personnel was very friendly and helpful and the food was nice. Maybe the thing that could have been better were the prices at the bar.;)
"Mr J Parsons"
Hull Rotterdam crossing very very good.Came back Zeebrugge a Hull would not use this crossing again.air conditioning next to useless .The Brasserie restaurant not as good 2courses had to ordered unlike Hull crossing. All in all not as good an experience.
"Great!"
no problem, it was good!
"Trip to Bruges!"
Good trip,no problems at all.staff hospitable and facilities on ship OK. Did not really enjoy food in restaurant.Feel the standard has dropped and although edible was not much better than heated up canteen food(not a problem when you are paying less for it). Would use again but would not have the meals!
"Ferry Journey"
Smooth crossing and arrival on time, although took a long time to negotiate the lock on arrival in Hull. Ferry staff were helpful and friendly. Good restaurants - but expensive. Cabins comfortable but very small - not for the claustrophobic! Terminal at Zeebrugge was disappointing, with no facilities other than toilets and a cafe/bar with very little choice.
"Driving up change fees"
It took a long time due to a delay, but it couldn't be helped. When I initially booked my journey between Hull and Rotterdam I had entered the wrong return date, May 21 instead of May 22. I rang within a minute to try and change it but was told there was no more space on the 22nd so had to reroute to Zeebrugge. This was €80 more, but I did it anyway. I then rang P&O to ask if there were any spaces left. There was, but only with 4 in one room. Directferries did not give me this option, which is disappointing. Just before the return journey I thought to myself let's check if there really aren't any spaces available on the ferry to Rotterdam. You then knew that there were spaces available. Changing the ticket would cost an additional €150. I didn't do it, but it's not right. I won't do this again. Will book directly with P&O from now on.
"Trip Zeebrugge to Hull, May 2014"
I was returning from a business trip and took the ferry to have a rest on the way home to Scotland. I was surprised how pleasant the whole thing was, easy loading, good facilities, pleaseant helpful staff and a good dining experience in the Resturant. The journey passed well with the exeception of a couple of lasses, 'taken with drink', at about 2am discussing with each other how little respect young people have for others in loud voices in the sleeping area. (lots of kids sleeping guietly all around). Would use the service again, both ways, and would recommend P & O.
"to do again without moderation"
We really enjoyed our crossing. The service was warm and perfect in the brasserie. This is another confortable and fun way to go to Scotland. The night of the boat is confortable and allows you to save a lot of kilometers during which you can sleep. An experience to renew without any moderation.
"2 very good crossings"
Our party of four travelled during the week when both ships were quiet. They are well appointed and comfortable and we were able to book tables for meals in the restaurant which added to the comfort. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Cabins were clean and well equipped for the short overnight crossings. However, one minor complaint is that shower gel was not provided in the dispenser in the shower! All-in-all a very pleasant experience but I would have to qualify that by saying I wonder if the same would still apply when the ships are full?
"May crossings"
the crew of the pride of York was friendlier than the staff from the pride of bruges. The cabins are very nice. However, the drinks on board are very expensive.
"Very OK"
Everything was well organised. Compliments to the crew!
"A return journey from Zeebrugge to Hull"
Satisfying
"Every year "
In the last 7 years we have driven at least 2 times on these two ferries. We are always happy to take this voyage to Hull, for the interruption of the long journey to Scotland is always very relaxing. However, both ships are but a little older , that everything works, but at some point you should consider a pair of new ferries a afflict. on the Pride of Brüges was the food this time not as good as before. Here is an improvement probably necessary. Otherwise, we look forward to the next time.
"P&O, Zeebrugge to Hull on the Pride of York"
We left and arrived on time. Cabin was clean and functional. Staff were very friendly. We enjoyed a restaurant meal and thought it was fair value. It was effective travel for us but also enjoyable and we would definitely do the trip again. Additionally, the directferries site is quick and efficient: we have booked Hull/Rotterdam, Portsmouth/Bilbao and Portsmouth/Santander with them before.
"Excellent service"
Very excellent service all around. Punctuality and on time if promised. Went with the whole family and had a good time. Thanks.
"Scruffy Ship!!"
This ship has seen better days will not use again !!Rotterdam ferry far superior.
"A pleasant crossing"
Everything was very good. We'll be back!
"A FOGGY TIME"
Staff were very pleasant and as we might expect with P&O Very courteous. The crossing was very smooth even with the foggy conditions and delay in docking. I suppose my only thought May be the 'extras' offered by P&O due to the delay in arrival and docking in Hull. Consideration might be given to a more complete supply of coffee (plus) items delayed outside the norm on board the ship , beyond the arrival time. Overall a satisfying experience. Thank you.
"GREAT MINI CRUISE"
We had a great time on our trip to bruges, thanks P&O and thanks direct ferries.
"Hull to Zeebrugge"
I had a very pleasant crossing much more relaxing than the drive to Dover. Staff very helpful, would certainly use this crossing again.
"Hull Zeebruge crossing"
Another pleasant crossing at a small price. A very clean room and a very decent service. I would recommend it.
"To Zeebrugge and back for the first time but not the last "
Four of us travelled for the first time on P&O ferries from Hull to Zeebrugge and back taking in the sights of Bruges.I can only say that the ferry was superb so much less hassle than flying, good quality food, friendly crew and the minute you get on board you can relax. We were on board on Friday the 27 December when the high winds were pounding but you wouldn,t know. My wife was worried that she would not like the movement of the ship, in reality she hardly noticed it. So pleased with the trip we are looking to book to go to Amsterdam in March/April. Direct Ferries dealt with my booking and I can highly recommend them and their staff much less bother than anything else I have tried for a break.
"Quick and easy"
Everything from booking onwards was easy, well informed and good prices. Would highly recommend.
"Pride of York"
Excellent from all point of views. I recommend it.
"The P(erfect) O(ption) for motoring to Europe."
We enjoyed good food, had a comfortable and enjoyable crossing, and look forward to travelling on this route with P & O again.
"A passenger opinion"
Very satisfying
"rudeness of the service force "
in general we were satisfied only by virtue of a service at breakfast was very rude, unfortunately she was also at the roundtrip in service on my wife renounced on the coffee,
"journey from Zeebrugge and hull"
The journey was really well organized, ferry really punctual and the cabin was clean..
"perfect "
super ship, nice bunk (on the return trip even with windows although not posted), nice crew, no stress during loading of the cars or the camper. Gladly again.
"Perfect Service"
I took the Hull Zeebrugge ferry early May with return end October, taking the overnight trip. What a brilliant service, pleasant informative staff, good food, nice clean cabin, and shops for those things we always forget! The cinema, though small, had my kind of films. I shall be booking again for next April shortly.
"the impressions of a journey"
We live in Normandy and we have to go to Scotland regularly as we have family links there. We often use this line which takes us to Northern England and shorten the driving time in the UK. Despite the distance between Normandie and Zeebruge, we prefer using this line, because we can relax on the boat (York and Bruges are both confortable), take our time and start the 300 miles of driving rested. The food is good, the staff is attentive and the boarding is quick.
"Travelling across the North Sea Zeebrugge to Hull"
As always, a great crossing, just love that feel of being on a mini cruise! Cannot fault it in anyway! Marvellous way of crossing the sea! Thank you...very happy travellers!
"A lovely way from Europe to the North of England"
If you live in the north, this is great way to escape the long drive from the channel ports in the south of England. For less than the price of the Tunnel/Ferry and the fuel costs you get a hotel room overnight with bars and restaurants and P&O do the driving for you!! We drive from Italy to England and back once a year and find this a life-saver. The beds are comfortable, the food is of a good standard and there is lovely wine. The only thing I'd like is a quiet corner to read a book, or open the laptop, without background music. The standard of live music in the bars is excellent, but sometimes you just want to chill.
"Pride of york"
Toilet did not work twice. Repair involved removing the whole toilet. Clean but everything is tired looking. Food is very expensive on board but always looks lovely. Due to gale force winds we were 2 hours late docking in Hull. But felt very safe even though the waves were mountainous. Will go again from Hull to Zeebrugge
"Confortable and punctual"
Quick boarding with our car right after the check-in process A confortable 5 people cabin Punctual A good follow-up of orders and payment online A nice buffet breakfast. We enjoyed this return crossing from Brugges to Hull with P&O ferries.
"Positive feelings while crossing from Zeebrugge to Hull"
We were advised by the check-in lady to go and have a coffee in the main building to kill some time. The directions while boarding were very clear and we were reminded to remember the deck and door for disembarkation. The cabin was easy to find and the key was given to us by a courteous gentleman. The cabin's facilities were perfect. The dinner buffet was magnificent and the service was excellent. Worth repeating.
"P&O Ferries"
The crossing was very pleasant, the staff was nice and competent, the activities on board were well organised. The cabins are confortable, but a little bit small
"We are on our way."
Good relaxing way to start a holiday in Europe. A mini mini cruise. Check in and boarding stress free. Clean comfortable cabins and all other facilities on board made the overnight journey pleasant.
"Good ferry from Hull to Zeebrugge"
I would use this ferry again. I would recommend to friends. Get to the restaurant in time, or you will queue.
"A very nice trip"
It was very wonderful trip allot more than I thought. The room was very clean and good enough for 5 people with shower room. We left our luggage in the room for the day which was very nice and we do not have to carry all the luggage.
"Crossing Hull Zeebrugghe"
Everything was fine, the embarking / disembarking procedure was quite fast. The buffet at the restaurant was quite delicious, we had dinner and breakfast.
"A problem free crossing"
A pleasant crossing, a confortable cabin, a decent price. Be careful not to wait for too long before going to the restaurant to eat.
"Meal quality"
Outbound journey: -The food was back and expensive: -the meat was hard -the tuna steak was cover in oil and disgusting -the fish and chips was average -the quality of the wine was poor -we also had 3 desserts It cost 115 euro!! For the inbound journey, we decided to bring some sandwiches.
"Smooth sailing"
Our experience of the crossing was an extremely enjoyable one, with helpful crew members, excellent food, smooth sailing and a memorable sunset. Thank you P&O for enabling us to relax, de-stress, and for giving us a great start to our holiday.
"Journey Zeebrugge-Hull (August 2013)"
We had a very good experience. The cabins were clean and well presented for one night, (bunk bed for two). The toilet was clean. The member of the staff was so helpful, the only negative aspect was the prices of the food at the restaurant - too expensive.
"Hull - Zeebrugge Aug 2013"
Although the ship was quite tired, the crossing was fine, staff were very helpful. would definitely use this crossing again, even though it works out to be very expensive by comparison to other crossings. I think due to the fact that we need a cabin for 5. it makes a serious difference by cutting down the driving in the uk.
A very experienced and nice staff. The quality of the services is very good. My only regret is that some announcements are only in English
"Great!!!"
A very good crossing, a very professional staff who is ready to help and make the journey pleasant. An appropriate material for the bikes. Thanks again.
"Hull Brugge"
Everything was perfect, the cabin was comfortable and the food as well, the ship was very well presented.
"enjoyable trip"
We enjoyed our trip from Zeebrugge to Hull, the cabin was comfortable, well appointed and the bathroom was very good. The TV didn't work but that didn't worry us and we enjoyed our complimentary glass of champagne and had plenty to eat. The whole service was very well run. The only problem I had was that I didn't know it was ESSENTIAL I bought my shuttle bus tickets prior to the trip from Brugge to Zeebrugge. I found this out by accident the day before we left and spent a lot of my holiday time chasing that up as I went from information centre to information centre in Brugge given wrong telephone numbers etc until a fantastic girl at the info at the station rang P&O for me and I bought it over the phone from them. Incidentally, the bus drive that took us into Hull from the ferry terminal was fantastic.
"Ferry Zeebrugge - Hull"
We had a very nice trip over to Hull and enjoyed the sea air.
"Hull-Zeebrugge"
Fantastic stay on the boat over night lovely staff cant wait for another trip with direct ferries and P&O.
"Nice, first experience"
It was our first time we slept on the ferry to go to Belgium. Normally we take the ferry from Dover to Calais. We found this a much better experience as we didn't had to drive so many hours with the kids in the car. The children entertainment was good and kept them busy for a while so we as parents could relax a little. Only for that reason we probably will take this ferry again. The staff was very friendly , helpful and kind on both ways of travelling. The only thing we didn't like was the expensive dinner. It was a lovely buffet though, but on the way back we had dinner in advance, only because it is too expensive on the ferry. Especially when you have 3 kids as well . Many thanks,
"To be improved"
Instructions delivered through a speaker. -the important instructions are only delivered in English and the French translation is often drowned in commercial informations about the duty free, the shop, the restaurant, etc. -they should be clear and understandable, especially when explaining how to get to the vehicles -German and French should be used on the electronic display near the information point.
"Review"
As a regular user of the ferry, I am satisfied with the services offered by your company. However, I regret the lack of the French language on board. It's a shame, because you cannot communicate with the staff, which is very helpful otherwise.
"Satisfied overall"
During the outbound journey, we had a very nice "Club" cabin. As we couldn't find the key, a member of the crew made a key for us. The cleaning staff forget to flush the toilets. The catering was execellent and the staff considerate, but the continental breakfast was tiny. The "Club" cabin was smaller during our return journey. It was clean, the catering was great and the continental breakfast was bigger than during the outbound journey. Thanks to the atmosphere and the staff attitude, we have a good memory of this crossing.
"Pride of York 14-15 and 19-20 July Hull to and from Zeebrugge"
Premier cabin nice and spacious. Staff all friendly and helpful. Facilities very good. Kids' entertainer good fun. Excellent experience and would use the service again. Only slight negative was a long wait to get through UK customs barrier on return leg (20 July) which was a different experience from the Belgian side (15 July).
"No discussion with P&O"
I arrived at the P&O counter about one hour before departure, because a problem with my motorbike. The woman at the counter looked at her computer and told me very abruptly: "Five minutes late, circulez!". She wouldn't hear anything. I can understand that boarding a trailer is difficult, but a motorbike? I've done several trips in Ferry to Grece, Morrocco, Corsica, Denmark, Estonia, etc... With several late boarding, there never had been any problem. At the end, I went to France through the tunnel and drove an extra 400 km. The tunnel is way less expensive and I never want to hear about P&O ferries.
"A very good overall impression"
A functional and well organised boat, the staff is available and affable, the meals are tasty and varied, the buffets are good. One drawback is that the prices at the bar are really expensive. The cocktails are overpriced and not very good. We didn't test the casino or the cinema. The prices in the shops didn't seem interesting. The cabins are small, clean, functional and fairly quiet. However, it's better to have a window in your cabin if you suffer from claustrophobia.
"P+O Ferries Hull-Zebrugge"
The ship was very well run, every where clean and tidy the cabins though small where comfy the only complaint we have is the cost of the food, it is to expensive, we paid £7 for two pasties which were rock solid, so to conclude good ferry spoiled by overpriced food.
"Best way to travel."
As we live in Scotland this ferry saves us the long, busy and tortuous journey to the south coast of England. We use the Hull Zeebrugge ferry on a regular basis and enjoy our time on board. We book a club class cabin for extra space and the kettle and TV are useful too. We eat in the restaurant as opposed to The Kitchen and the food is excellent ( particularly the steaks!). These ships are very stable even in poor conditions and really we can't fault the journey provided.
"Review P & O "
Overall very satisfied
"P & O Ferries "
The Belgian side (imigration) was late, rude and very unhospitable. So the disembarking in Belgium Took way longer than in England. The English Authorities were working very quick, correct, Organised and very polite.
"Zeebrugge-Hull crossing and return"
A good trip overall, the service and the quality on board are very good standard, despite a permanent noise in the cabin. That problem was dealt with quickly amd efficiently by giving us another cabin. What's annoying is the very long waiting time at customs, but it's not P&O's fault.
"Hull ferry"
Great to have a cabin with portholes, lots of space, great facilites, smooth crossing, really enjoyed our time on the North Sea.
"Zeebrugge Hull crossing"
Perfect, the organisation, the reception of our dog, the cleanliness of the cabin, on time ..
"Pleasant Crossing"
Relatively uneventful crossing, nice staff, good facilities, nice food and an all round good experience. The only negative I have is relative to our return crossing when the announcement told us to remain in our cabins until we were called to go back to our car and that we should not attempt to do so before we were prompted. Then a crew member burst in to the cabin without knocking, babbling "time to go, keys please" in a very aggressive manner, of course we left immediately. A little more courtesy would have been appreciated.
"A good crossing"
The booking was quick, the keys given in an efficient manner; the room were fine; the restaurant offered a variety of meal. Departure and arrival exactly on time. Fairly fast disembarkment, even though it's a bit slow on the English side with the customs. Nothing extraordinary, but the necessary services are there. On the downside, the announcement are only in English as well as the movies.
"well done"
We both thoroughly enjoy the experience of the trip across to Hull, we think of it as a mini cruise, and a relaxation before our arrival in England. The cabins are clean and comfortable, and staff very accommodating in getting extra pillow etc;, The restaurant is clean and the food hot and well presented, staff very pleasant and helpful. Plenty to do in the evening.Captains announcements clear and informative, as are the staff who are always willing to answer any questions. On the whole a well run friendly ship and we regularly sing its praises as the way to travel back home to England
"Comments Hull , Zeebrugge ferry"
My wife and I have used this ferry service now on four occasions and have always been very please with this service from both P&O and directferries. The ship is faultless i loved it.
"Good crossing"
Cabin was clean and comfortable, the only regret was that the restaurant prices are too high.
"5 Star Travel"
I was treated with respect on the ferry from Zeebrugge to Hull and return. The food was excellent the service was excellent and the staff who i met were very helpful. I will certainly travel with P&O Ferries again and again Brilliant well done P&O.
"Cyclists priority"
We were treated well and cyclists priority. Reasonably clean old ship, with clean facilities. No free WiFi on board. We enjoyed the food.
"Holiday to England"
Small clean cabin i had a great sleep very quiet! The food i had was delicious. In terms of price it was very good!
"Very good"
Extremely pleasant journey, punctual. We arrived on time and fresh.
"What a start to 6 month Europe trip"
Brilliant service Hull to Zeebrugge, overnight with cabin. Best to book cabin with window if you are at all claustrophobic which I am. I had dinner in the Brasserie followed by visit to the cinema. All in all a brilliant experience and the way to travel. I shall be booking for my return trip in November.
"Recommended"
I liked this crossing a lot, the cabin was clean, buffet was good and the rest of the accommodation comfortable and the staff on board were very friendly.
"Fab! Will do next time!"
We usually do the Rotterdam to Hull ferry but there was a considerable price difference between this journey and the Zeebrugge route so we decided to try the cheaper Zeebrugge route. We upgraded the room and it was well worth it, just having the telly and fridge made a huge difference. The crossing was a bit longer, but we didn't notice it. Fabulous, will do this route again.
"First class could be better"
No heating during the inbound journey, we had to sleep two by two on the low berth to warm up. The soap distributor was not working. The cabin and the bathroom were clean. The boat was welcoming overall. Eating is convenient and it's possible to exchange money. On the wat back, still no heating, but the soap distributor were working.
"Great service"
From arrival to departure was a committed service from all personnel. Very friendly and informative which made our journey that bit more relaxing.
"FAB-U-LOUS"
Family of six, just travelled to and from France on The Pride of York, all of us loved everything about her. The food was divine, staff very well mannered, helpful and pleasant and there was loads to do. Great experience and would definitely do it again.
"Nothing to report"
All went well!
"Mixed experience"
It was clear right from the outset that the crew wish to maintain this ship's cleanliness. The carpet in the cabin areas of the decks were clean, as was our cabin itself. The cabin was functional and adequately comfortable. It served its purpose well. Punctuality was not an issue at all. With all passengers accounted for before the originally planned departure time, we actually left about 30 minutes early and were not rushed in Zeebrugge with an early arrival. Most of the staff were courteous and professional. The catering in the evening, however, was atrocious. While it is unreasonable to expect the same quality of catering on a ferry as on dry land or even on a cruise liner, what was produced on the Pride of York was absolutely appalling. The food was cold and without flavour. Once we'd managed to ascertain that the meat on a plate was turkey, the chef was less than keen to bring out the cranberry sauce to go with it. The apple pie and custard were also cold, and the custard was barely recognisable as such. The standard of catering in the Brasserie restaurant may well have been much higher than in "The Kitchen", but we were not willing to pay such high prices. The £48 that we paid for two evening meals and two breakfasts was more than we would have wanted to pay given the choice. This said, if you disregard the unpleasant catering and concentrate on the rest of the experience, it was a great experience overall and one that I would recommend (as long as you bring your own food to eat on board!).
"Pride of York"
Absolutely fantastic! Food is amazing, lots to do, one part of the ship did smell a bit, but they should have sorted it out by now. Ship is getting old now, but she's still going along well in force 9 gales! Definitely would recommend!
"Pride of York"
Lots to do on board largish ship hospitality is superb the food is divine and the layout is great the cabins are quite large too
"Excellent service "
We travelled on the return trip from Zeebrugge to Hull on the evening of Thursday 12 July. The service was excellent, from the table in the Four Seasons Restaurant and the attentive table staff, to the choice of film and good self-service breakfast. The one downside was the time it took to finally dock in Hull.
"Cabin not good!"
There was so little space in the cabin that we had to keep the suitcase in the shower!
