About Igoumenitsa ferry port

Igoumenitsa port is one of Greece’s most important ferry ports. It offers a vital link between Greece and Italy with regular ferries to destinations such as Brindisi, Bari, Venice and Ancona. The port also serves ferries to the Ionian Islands of Corfu and Paxos and therefore can get extremely busy, especially in the summer months. There are 2 piers located at the port; the central pier which serves international routes and the northern pier which serves domestic routes. Major ferry companies operating out of the port include Grimaldi Lines, ANEK Lines and Minoan Lines.

How to get to Igoumenitsa port

  • By car: follow the Egnatia Odos (A2) until you reach the central pier. For the northern pier, turn at the exit ‘Igoumenitsa/Preveza’ until you get to Ag. Apostolon (E92). Then follow signs to the port.
  • By bus: KTEL intercity bus service operate regular services to Igoumenitsa from destinations such as Athens and Thessaloniki. Regional buses also operate between Igoumenitsa and towns such as Preveza.
