Taxis are also available on the island, although these are usually more expensive.

Kalymnos port is located in the main town of Pothia (Chora) on the south of the island. The ferry port connects Kalymnos with the other Dodecanese islands as well as Piraeus, the main port in Athens. There is also a smaller port in Kalymnos located in Myrties which offers daily services to and from Telendos.
