Found on one of the Mamanuca Islands, Likuliku Lagoon Resort connects passengers to mainland Fiji, offering three daily sailings to the port of Denarau. The crossings only last for around an hour, therefore are seen as a quick and easy form of transportation. Many tourists who reside at the resort return for a second time; with the facilities and excursions on offer it is easy to see why. The huts right by the water offer an incredible experience where guests literally fall asleep to the sounds of the waves, and wake up to the stunning views of the endless green hills and mountains. The sunset cruises and spa experiences on offer are an added bonus, especially for couples who are hoping to relax on a romantic holiday. For those that have a taste for watersports, Likuliku Lagoon Resort is the perfect destination: diving, snorkelling and jet-skiing are all popular pastimes for guests, even beginners can try their hand under the guidance of the qualified instructors. The best place to sample the diving and snorkelling opportunities is on one of the island hopping trips; the boat stops at the most picturesque spots for a chance to swim and snorkel in the deep blue South Pacific Ocean. The port is within a short walk of the resort, and the staff will nearly always accompany any departing guests, as well as greet passengers who arrive at the port. On any occasion where the staff don’t greet the guests on arrival, there is a clear pathway marked to the reception.
Port Denarua is on a small private island in the northwest corner of Fiji’s mainland, Viti Levu. It is the main gateway to some of the beautiful islets along the northwest coast and is just twenty minutes from Nadi International Airport by car. It is considered the island’s finest marina facility, offering restaurants, a spa, a large supermarket and a wide selection of shops. You can also book tours and activities inside the terminal. There are a number of luxurious hotels on Denarau Island where you can relax overnight before your journey as well.
