Getting around Korčula

Korčula Old Town is a pedestrian-only area so it’s easy to get around by foot. There is also a bus service connecting Korčula with other villages and towns including Vela Luka and Blato. Many tourists also either rent a bike, scooter or car to explore the island further.

There are a total of 4 ferry ports in Korčula with the main ferry port located in Korčula Town on the eastern side of the island. This port serves most ferries from mainland Croatia including Dubrovnik and Split and other islands such as Hvar, Bol and Brac. 

Other ferry ports on the island include Pridradica ferry port, located on the northwest side of Korčula which serves ferries from Korčula Town, Hvar and Split. Dominice port, on the northeast of the island serves car and passenger ferries from Orebic. And finally, Vela Luka port on the southwest side of the island serves car and foot passenger ferries from destinations including Split, Hvar and Lastovo island.

Korčula ferry port is the main ferry port. You can walk to the ferry port from the centre of Korčula town in around 5-10 minutes. The port is easy to access via bus too, with a bus station located around 500m from the ferry port.

Parking is limited at Korčula ferry port. We’d recommend using one of the public parking lots located near to the Old Town and walking to the ferry port from there.

About Dubrovnik port

Dubrovnik port is also known as Gruž Port and is located approximately 3km from the centre of Dubrovnik. It serves ferries, catamarans, cruise ships and cargo vessels. You can get ferries from Dubrovnik to destinations including Korčula, Mljet and Hvar.

How to get to Dubrovnik port

You can reach the port via a local bus. Taxis are also available with a journey time of around 10 minutes. There is also a shuttle bus service connecting the airport with the main bus station which is located right by the ferry port.

Yes, parking is available at Dubrovnik ferry port. However, there are only a limited number of spaces and it can get very busy during the summer months. If you can't find a space, there are also plenty of paid car parks located within walking distance of the port.
