About Isle of Mull

Mull is the second largest island in the Inner Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland. As one of the best spots in the UK to spot rare animal species, Mull has long been admired by naturalists and photographers who flock here to catch a glimpse of the white-tailed eagle, hen harrier, American mink and some of the 2,000 plant species. However, there’s much more to Mull than just a rich and abundant wildlife. The 300-mile coastline has some beautiful beaches, the rolling hills are scattered with Bronze Age stone circles and standing stones, whilst the main town of Tobermory is known for its cheerfully coloured waterfront buildings. The Isle of Mull is close to the Scottish mainland, so there are numerous crossings available every day to the town of Oban. Mull’s main ferry terminal can be found just off the A849 in Craignure on the east coast, close to Duart Bay.
