Ebeltoft is located in the region of Djursland on the mainland Jutland in Denmark, and is the second largest city in the region with a population of 6000. Few places in Denmark will you find so much opportunity to experience so many different things as you will in Djursland. This region is nature at its best, and it is surrounded by the sea on three sides. This gives opportunity for a good beach life, sailing and fishing. On the land there are castles and manor houses, ancient memories and a lot of attractions, like a theme park, zoo and the Scandinavian Animal Park. A lot of galleries can also be found here, with a great selection for all tastes, and you sometimes just happen to come by a church with exciting paintings or get lost in one of the many museums.
Isefjord, Kattergat and Sejerø Bay are surrounding Sjællands Odde, and give the place an atmosphere of being a pleasant fishing area. Experience the smokehouse, the little fishing boats, the dockyard, the fish sale and the anglers. The smokehouse is the sign of the world famous architect Arne Jacobsen. This area covers several towns; Yderby, which is a little town with few houses and a windmill, Odden Port town with a little fishing port, and yderby Lyng, were you can find the daily groceries. The south of the area has good beaches, while the north is more rocky, but you will find a few sand beaches there. The landscape on Sjællands Odde is dominated by fields, cliffs and the sea views.
