Denarau Ferry Port

Port Denarua is on a small private island in the northwest corner of Fiji’s mainland, Viti Levu. It is the main gateway to some of the beautiful islets along the northwest coast and is just twenty minutes from Nadi International Airport by car. It is considered the island’s finest marina facility, offering restaurants, a spa, a large supermarket and a wide selection of shops. You can also book tours and activities inside the terminal. There are a number of luxurious hotels on Denarau Island where you can relax overnight before your journey as well.

Barefoot Kuata Island Guide

Barefoot Kuata Island Ferry Port

Found on the small northern peninsula of Drawaqa Island, one of the smaller landmasses that make up the long streak of islands off the coast of Fiji, is the Barefoot Kuata Island resort. It’s a destination of idyllic proportions. An arcing beach of velvet sand separates the lush tropical woodland from the still waters of the bay, the shallows of which are home to an array of multi-coloured marine life. The coral reefs surrounding the island have become a premium spot for divers and snorkelers who want to catch a glimpse of the harmless reef sharks that glide along the underwater currents. The verdant hills that ripple through the centre of the isle are perfect for hiking, their peaks offering spectacular views over the ultramarine blues of the surrounding Pacific Ocean. The port of Barefoot Kuata Island is nothing more than a designated spot on the beach of the north-facing bay. As such the nearest facilities are those found at the resort itself just a few steps up the coast. These include free Wi-Fi, a mobile phone signal spot, a safebox for storing possessions and a tourist information desk. There is no road network or public transport on Drawaqa Island either, meaning the only way to cover the region is on foot. Currently only one passenger route operates from the port. An Awesome Adventures Fiji line leaves the beach a number of times throughout the week, making the short voyage south to the port-town of Denarau on the Fijian mainland.
