Cairnryan ferry port is a small port in the south of the Scottish west coast. Cairnryan is located next to the town of Stranraer in the area of Dumfries and Galloway. With two ferry routes leaving Cairnryan, it is the perfect connection between Scotland and Northern Ireland. You can reach Cairnryan ferry port via the M77 and A77 from Glasgow, via the A71 and A77 from Edinburgh or via the A75 and A77 from Carlisle in North-England.

How long is ferry crossing from Cairnryan?

P&O Ferries offers the fastest crossing between Great Britain and Ireland with their Cairnryan–Larne route, which takes only 2 hours to complete. The crossing to Belfast with Stena Line takes only slightly longer with 2 hours and 15 minutes on the fast ferry. You can take your car or travel as a foot passenger on both routes. Pets travel free of charge but should be booked in advance to guarantee space on the ferry. Please note that P&O Ferries only allows pets if they stay in the car. With Stena Line you can book a kennel for your pet if you travel on foot.

Can you park at Cairnryan ferry terminal?

A large car park for both short and long stay is available at the terminal building. You can park 30 minutes for free. For longer parking you will be charged from £0.50 per hour or £5.00 per day. A week-ticket costs from £25 if booked in advance.

Which facilities can I find at the Cairnryan ferry terminal?
