The Spanish city of Bilbao, located in the autonomous region of the Basque Country, lies in the north central part of Spain and is around 14km to the south of the Bay of Biscay, where the estuary of Bilbao is formed. The port's main facilities can be found in the Santurtzi and Zierbena municipalities, approximately 15 km west of Bilbao.
