"Clean and smooth journey "
Clean and luckily not too busy.
"Okay trip"
The actual trip from Crete to Santorini was okay , but before the trip there was a 3 hour delay. Out boat arri ed 2 hours late and we departed an hour later. Thus arrived in Santorini at 4 am
"Island hopping in Greece"
We have just finished a holiday island hopping in Greece. All the ferries were booked through Direct Ferries. Why do they insist on a 2 hour check in when half the booking offices are not even open then. A one hour would be more than adequate.
"Kassos to Sitia"
We were very happy with the trip overall. Two points for improvement: the toilets need to be cleaned more often; there is seating available but inconsiderate people often take more than they need - perhaps an announcement could be made to remind everyone to be more thoughtful.
"Nice tri^p"
Boat on time.
"Piacevole esperienza "
Nave puntuale. Personale molto gentile. Cabina accogliente
"Easy Work but check your check in "
Smooth and easy journey from Rhodes to Karpathos. Only feedback is clarification needed on how early you must arrive. Our confirmation email states we needed to be there 120 minutes before departure. However once we arrived at the ferry port, we were only advised 60. We had a 8am departure and arrived way before 6am which after an early morning wake up seemed unnecessary.
"trip to karpathos"
the only gripe was at sitia where there was no one in the ticket office til just before the ship arrived ----at karpathos there was someone in 2 hours prior the same as the time we were instructed to be there for. the ship was on time and there was no problems .....we could not use the ships restaurant due to opening times ...not enough time prior to arriving...it should be open as soon as we set sail and more people would use same....also a poster outside the restaurant to say the opening times.
"as previos"
as previos....amended the ship punctuality
"Preveli - Rhodes to Heraklion"
The hotel owner said "oh dear poor dog" when we said we were on the Anek Lines Preveli and told us it never went befor 4am despite the sailing time being listed as 3am. He was right - our booking information told us to get to the ferry port at least 120minutes before sailing (1am). However the ticket office didn't open until after 2am and most locals who knew didn't turn up until after 3am. We had booked a cabin (at extra expense) because the online information said that dogs could travel on the ferry in one of the interior cabins.....checked in and were told we couldn't have our spaniel in our cabin by the receptionist who was very unhelpful and told us we would have to sit outside (in the cold at 4am! For the whole journey with our dog). Thank goodness for the kind porter who took us to our cabin and said as long as she didn't bark (she doesn't) she could stay with us. The final straw was that the bed sheets were too small - the moment we got into our bunks they came off (as they were too short to stay tucked in) and left us sleeping on the bare mattresses!
"Delayed with poor information"
Sunday 6th May sailing Rhodes to Karpathos: the sailing should have been at 3am with the ticket booth opening for final check in by 1am according to our Direct Lines confirmation. Someone working on another boat told us the boat was delayed, but no information from Anek lines until booth opened late. Oldish boat: thin cabin walls so could hear next cabin phone call. And very old public toilet.
"Great cruise, confusing kiosk"
We had a great ferry ride. However, direct ferries does not give you any info on how to check in. The kiosk was hidden in a cafe with very little signage. I wish direct ferries would let you know these things in advance.
"overnight"
great overnight journey from Chalki to Crete in a cabin.
"Pleasant but long journey"
The ship (+cabin) was clean, there were sufficient facilities but breakfast was poor The boat is slow
"Good Experience"
Only drawback was that DirectFerries could not supply on-line tickets so they had to be collected beforehand from Port which was a little inconvenient. Ferry was 1 hour late in arriving at departure port but no big problem for us. Ship very clean - very good services - a really peasant little cruise on ANEK FB Prevellis.
"Thira to Crete"
I did my booking in advance through Directferries. The service was excellent. The trip itself was good value for money.
"A pleasant journey"
Despite our journey being delayed by some 4 hours due to weather conditions between Karpathos and Crete, (we had been informed of this by a text message in Greek so we needed a translation by a friendly waiter) we were happy with our travelling choices to Karpathos. As a party of six, including two elderly people, we were helped by your staff on every occasion, for example shown the lifts so we could avoid the flights of stairs. For comfort we chose the aircraft seat in the lower lounge, it was comfortable here and fairly quiet as we were now travelling through the night. Just one suggestion to make it even more relaxing, especially as we were now on board from 10pm until after 4am, the lounge with the reclining aircraft seats need to have the lighting dimmed so it is easier to sleep. We would certainly travel again with you and were content with our journey despite being very tired.
"Sitia Karpathos"
All good! A little bit of delay, but nice.
"Karpathos forever"
all good but the departure was 2 hours late. Recommended
"night crossing"
I booked with Anek the ferry from Milos to Santorini at 11pm. I had to discuss with the staff on board because I booked a reserved seat but there was no more space in the room. They found me another place but I couldn't spend the night there because it was too warm and too busy. Next time I'll book with deck space. When I arrived at Santorini port there were no buses or other public transport so I had to pay €30 to take a cab.
"Family trip!"
I travel with my wife and children last summer with Anek Lines in two occasions! From Crete to Karpathos and from Karpathos to Rhodes. Both ships departed on time. If you crossing by night with children I recommend to book a cabin. Those are clean and quiet. The journey was excellent!
"An interesting excursion"
This was a gift for a 70 year old friend. His grandfather came from this island, but he himself had never been here. A very nice boat ride on a lovely Anek lines ferry and two days on site to locate relatives. This exceeded our expectations and we had a very good contact with people in Diafani and Olymbos. A very pleasant change from the hectic life in Rhodes. Almost no traffic, and many hikers of different nationalities. A visit to this island is highly recommended!
